Recently, the World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) learned that an evil person called Li Yuanwei — who has been taking a controlling role in the genocide against Falun Gong as chief of the management branch of Lingyuan Prison and head of the 610 Office* in Liaoning Province — was visiting France to do some research. Practitioners in France and from other countries worked together to collect and translate criminal evidence of Li Yuanwei’s activities in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. On the morning of the 19th of July, the French Falun Gong Association filed a lawsuit on behalf of those Falun Gong practitioners who were persecuted and charged Li Yuanwei with being responsible for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.

Many people came to participate in the activity. All over the world, people have been making paper lotus flowers as part of the 'Petals of Peace' project to call for an end to the persecution against Falun Gong and to highlight the plight of the many orphans left in China after the suppression against Falun Gong has taken the lives of their parents.

Police arrested the parents of 15-year old Wang Wei, of Fuyu, Heilongjiang Province. Without cause the parents were illegally arrested, detained and harassed at their home. When Wang Wei returned home, she saw that her parents weren't there and the house was in a state of disarray. The police threatened her and ordered her to give up her practice of Falun Dafa. During the 15 days when her parents were detained, she had to live by herself. Because of this sudden change and the isolation she felt, fear and depression took hold of her. Fear and depression became a sickness, and she became thinner and weaker each day. Before she died, she wanted to see her mother, but the police refused her. In March 2003, Wang Wei, still in her teenage years, passed away.

Ms. Li Baojie, 34 years old, lived in Liaoning Province. Since she continued to practise Falun Gong after the persecution began, she was arrested by the police many times. In August 2004, she was reported while distributing leaflets exposing the persecution. Police officers from Panjin City went to Dalian City and brought Li Baojie and her husband back to Panjin City. Both of them were then sentenced to three years of forced labour and detained in the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. After suffering extended indignity and torture, Ms. Li was tortured to death on April 8, 2005.

“I was one of four practitioners arrested in April, 2002. I was imprisoned along with Ms. Liu Limei in the Wanjia Forced Labour Camp Hospital. When I first saw Liu Limei, she had already been on a hunger strike for 6 months. She was extremely thin. Her voice was very weak. Once, a police officer was force-feeding her, and I saw her nose bleeding. She was out of breath, but the police still force-fed her. On August 12th 2003, Ms. Liu Limei died in the Forced Labour Camp. On August 12th 2003, Ms. Liu Limei died in the Forced Labour Camp.”

"610 Office" staff lured Ms Tang Yichun with 200 yuan and the promise that they would take care of her medical expenses in the future. She was told to go to the highway. Her husband Liu Jiajie was the school director of the Township in 1975. He was punished and sent to farm in his hometown because they had violated the one-child policy. Because they were sent to farm, Tang Yichun became mentally unstable and had remained in this condition for 25 years. The "610 Office" had Tang Yichun come to the highway and told her to wave and jump and say, "I went insane because of practising Falun Gong." A reporter from Weiyuan Television Station recorded Tang Yichun and created a programme that was broadcast repeatedly in Weiyuan County.

Without wearing glasses I finished Lecture One and part of Lecture Two. At this time, my sister reminded me to take my medicine. Until then, I had not realised that my head, neck, and shoulders were working fine and there was no pain at all. Surprised, I said to my sister, "What happened? Have I recovered?" I turned my head, neck, and my body again to make sure that they did not hurt any more. Then I understood, and said to my sister sincerely, "This is not illness. It is karma. I do not need to take medicine any more."

Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

On August 6th and 7th, Falun Gong practitioners in Malaysia held a "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" International Art Exhibition at the Chin Woo Gallery in Chin Woo Stadium, Kuala Lumpur. However, on August 7, administrators of the Chin Woo Stadium forced practitioners to immediately stop the art exhibition.

The "Compassion" International Art Exhibition and "Collection of Contemporary Renowned Chinese Artists' Works" exhibition were successfully held at the Hilton Garden Inn, Philadelphia from July 26th to 31st, 2005. The two exhibitions enhanced each other's beauty and touched people's hearts.
