Across Europe and North America, people received coordinated waves of pre-recorded phone calls on Sunday. The content defames Falun Gong, in both English and Chinese language. “This is harassment, it’s a provocative act,” said Falun Dafa Infocenter spokesperson Erping Zhang, who personally received six of the calls. The Epoch Times first learned of the calls in Europe. People in Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Holland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Russia, Sweden, United Kingdom and Switzerland all reported the calls.

"We have recently learned of a sinister campaign being conducted by the Chinese authorities to target foreign governments and their institutions. Their aim is to spread lies, incite hatred and create misunderstanding against people who practise a popular form of traditional Chinese practice called Falun Gong. In the Ukraine, for example, they have disseminated their sensational and outrageous propaganda to the Ministry of Education and Sciences forcing the authorities to disseminate it to all departments and areas. We would like to forewarn you of the latest ploy in their campaign both at home and abroad to “eradicate Falun Gong”."

The persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by Jiang and his faction has destroyed many happy families and orphaned many young children. Children from Pomezi School expressed hope that the children of Falun Gong practitioners in China can be reunited with their wrongfully imprisoned parents and that the orphans can find a good home.

Ms. Dai Shufen was a Falun Gong practitioner from Jilin Province. She had her home ransacked and was harassed by police. As a result of the harassment and pressure, Dai Shufen fell ill. She passed away on December 26, 2003, at the age of 63. Another practitioner, Ms. Wang Shanling, aged 68, was also harassed and the police ransacked her home. As a result she died on January 3, 2005.

Ms. Zhang Tongyan was 80 years old and lived in Hebei Province. Nine members of her family practise Falun Dafa. Her eldest son and youngest daughter are currently being held in labour camps. Her second and third sons were also detained by the authorities, and the third son was tortured to death in 2002. On February 19, 2004, the heartbroken Ms. Zhang passed away.

Four Falun Gong practitioners were arrested for exposing the rape of Chongqing University student, Ms Wei Xingyan, by a policeman. One man received a sentence of 13 years of prison, while the other three practitioners received 7 years each. The so-called charge was "Utilizing an evil [slanderous word omitted] to hinder the enforcement of law." After the rape of Wei Xingyan was exposed over the Internet, the "610 Office" sealed all documents about her at Chongqing University.

"On August 11, 1999, the Yantai Daily, a newspaper in Yantai City, Shandong Province, published a report about me. The article was entitled, "Falun Gong is Merciless while the Party Committee is Merciful." There were many parts of the article that were inconsistent with the facts. First, the journalist who wrote the article had never interviewed me. I wonder how he came up with such a report about me."

My dad had to go to the city to take on some labour work in order to make a little bit of money. Even so, he was still harassed by the local police. They tried to force him to be "reformed", but my dad never gave in. He often traveled to visit his family and friends, always taking CDs containing factual information about Falun Gong with him to hand out, so people could learn about Falun Gong and the persecution. Almost everyone in our village has watched the Falun Dafa VCD, including the truth about the staged "self-immolation" incident.

Four or five days later, my brother visited me again. He was full of energy and his voice was once more strong and deep. I commented on the change in his appearance. He said, "Well, of course. I did what you suggested. Otherwise, I didn't think I'd get my health back." My elder brother's health continues to improve. Once more he can do everything, and now he tells everyone he meets that Falun Dafa is good and amazing.

On January 26 and 27, Huideng Middle School hosted one of about twenty teachers' research camps that were held this winter in Taiwan. Practitioners shared their experiences with attendees and taught the exercises.

The "self-immolation" incident reported in the article has already been renounced worldwide as a hoax...I was very disappointed that the article gave no real opposing opinion to that of the Chinese Communist Party. Given that the Chinese government is currently waging what has been increasingly been called genocide by international observers against Falun Gong, it would seem impossible to get an objective viewpoint simply by quoting the Chinese government's point of view.
