The book Falun Gong was officially published in the Bulgarian language and distributed in Bulgaria today. It was also sold to the public at a book exhibition held in the capital city of Sofia. Since the Jiang regime in China initiated a crackdown on Falun Gong in July 1999, the interest in Falun Gong from people all over the world has grown. Not only are there people in over sixty countries practising Falun Gong but the numbers practising in each country have also increased.

Under intimidation by the evil Jiang group, the Chinese embassies and consulates do not have the effect of protecting their own citizens, instead, they become institutions which carry out terror tactics as ordered by the Jiang group. Some officials wrongly assess the situation at home and abroad, and abuse their political power by ignoring the human rights of Falun Gong practitioners.

From the 28th to the 30th of May 2004, the second Ukraine Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference was held in Ukraine's capital city of Kiev. Through this Fa conference and its related activities, many people come to learn about Falun Dafa and the brutal persecution against the 100 million people who practise it in China.

On May the 13th, the Finnish Falun Dafa Association held a press conference in Helsinki about human rights in China. Many newspapers were represented as well as the Finnish news agency and radio news. The following day, newspapers all over Finland reported on important current human rights issues including the persecution of Falun Gong.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Guo Chunsheng was from Hubei Province. On October 30, 2003, his home was illegally ransacked by the Fenghuang Town Party Secretary and others. They attempted to abduct Mr. Guo to a brainwashing centre. In the process they violently beat Mr. Guo, causing him to vomit blood. He passed away at 8 p.m. the next day. Mr. Guo's untimely death has left his young son and daughter with no guardian, his elderly mother with no financial support, and his disabled wife with no caregiver. The family has been mourning the loss of their beloved kin every day.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Song Youchun was from the Xinzhou Area of Shanxi Province. In January 2001, we learned from people in Song's village that Song was sentenced to forced labour for going to Beijing to appeal for Dafa in the year 2000. He suffered brutal torture at a labour camp and was in critical condition. To avoid being responsible for his death, the labour camp notified Song's family to take him home. Song died not long after he came home. He was only 30 years old, and he left behind his wife, a very young child and elderly parents.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Su Juzhen, in her 40s, lives in Huludao City, Liaoning Province. Before the persecution began, Su Juzhen was well known for her selflessness and kindness. She was awarded with the distinction "Outstanding Self-employed Businessperson" several times. However, such a kindhearted person has now been tortured to the point of suffering a mental breakdown because she refused to give up her belief in the principles of "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance." She is still not able to speak or think normally. Her husband sits home with her all day.

In 2003 over 70 teachers, who admitted to being Falun Dafa practitioners were dismissed from their jobs in Dazhu County, Sichuan Province. During the second term in 2003, the "610 Office" threatened the teachers with "suspension or dismissal from their posts" and forced the 70 teachers who practise Falun Dafa to attend a government brainwashing programme. They were told that they could not return to teaching until they completed the brainwashing programme and renounced their belief in Falun Dafa. The teachers all possess excellent academic credentials and teaching skills.

During the past five years, Jiang Zemin and his political group's genocidal persecution of Falun Gong has been especially shocking as it has been applied to female practitioners. The torture and degradation inflicted upon female practitioners is a crime of state terrorism. It symbolises the Jiang group's complete moral deterioration. This has brought profound harm to the Chinese people.

Many people in Yupin County of Guizhou Province know Mr. Zhao Youde. The changes he showed after beginning Falun Dafa practice are so touching that the officers in the police station also admire him. When Jiang's regime began persecuting Falun Gong, Zhao Youde was illegally arrested and has been cruelly persecuted by Jiang's regime. He was locked up and told he would be detained for eight years. Zhao Youde's parents died one after the other, grieving over such wrongs, and having nowhere to appeal for their son's innocence.

The briefing on June the 3rd was co-chaired by Representatives Mark Steven Kirk and Lynn Woolsey. Congressman Lantos also attended the briefing. A representative of the Department of State, Falun Gong practitioner Erping Zhang, and representatives from several groups which have been persecuted by the Chinese regime testified.

The teary Falun Gong practitioner who was demonstrating torture by force-feeding in the following report is Wang Yuzhi. In July 2001 she was abducted while printing Dafa leaflets and was later sent to the Wanjia Labour Camp in Heilongjiang Province where she suffered all kinds of torture and as a result almost lost sight in both eyes.
