In January 2004, Jiang's regime, who are responsible for the brutal persecution of Falun Gong, lied to and exerted pressure on the French police who were blind to the truth. The police were instructed to harass Falun Gong practitioners. Thereafter, Falun Gong practitioners took the initiative to tell the truth to people at all levels of society, demanding those involved to admit administrative responsibility and apologise.

The seminar tour of Scandinavia regarding the current human rights situation in China was in Finland, on Thursday May the 13th 2004. Separate hearings organised by the Finnish Parliament's human rights group and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were held successfully in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. A news briefing for the media was also held. Speakers included Falun Gong practitioner Ms Jane Dai from Australia and the executive director of the Association for Asian Research, Mr. Erping Zhang,

I called my classmate in China just now, and was told that one of my best friends was imprisoned and eventually tortured to death simply because of practicing Falun Gong. I am not a Falun Gong practitioner, and don't have much knowledge of Falun Gong. But I do know my best friend very well, he was a truly righteous and honest person. I really cannot understand and rationalise why China would even regard having a belief as illegal. I feel really very sorry about it. My beloved motherland, when can we have true freedom?

On the final day of the 2004 Scotland Car Tour, the four Falun Dafa practitioners taking part in the tour visited one of Scotland’s best-known cities: Glasgow. The practitioners handed out leaflets in the city centre. Many people were interested in finding out more about Falun Gong and were keen to learn the exercises. One old Chinese man told the practitioners that he had the Falun Gong books at home and that he already knew about the lawsuits against Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin.

While Mrs. Wang was practicing the sitting meditation on campus at Germersheim, she was afraid that few of her classmates could imagine the situation of practitioners after Falun Gong was announced to be illegal on July 22nd, 1999. Although Falun Gong has no political objectives, practitioners were still arrested and detained in Labour Re-education Camps, prisons, and psychiatric hospitals, where they were shocked by electric batons, brainwashed, raped and abused by torture.

60 year old Dafa practitioner Ms. Zeng Lingxiu,, was a farmer from Sichuan Province. At around 5:00 a.m. on March 17, 2004, she was beaten to death on the road close to her home by some police who had been monitoring her activities. When her son learned of this, it was already past 8:00 in the morning. Zeng's body had already been taken to the crematory. When her son arrived there, he wasn't able to recognize his mother from her appearance. He could only tell it was his mother from the clothes. One hand and one foot were broken due to the beating. The police claimed that she died of a car accident. However, witnesses, who happened to pass by the scene of the beating, said that the police dragged her feet and pulled her along the road. The scene was too horrible to watch.

Mr. Wang Chuanping, 53, was a laid off worker from the Third Oil Extraction Factory in Heilongjiang Province. He was unjustly detained several times for appealing for the end of the persecution of Falun Gong. In June 2001 he was sentenced to 8 years in prison and jailed in Shaoxing Prison, where he was brutally tortured. As a result, he developed liver problems and had swelling all over his body. The police didn't release him until he was in grave danger. He passed away at the end of April 2004.

In the past several years, simply because of practising Falun Gong and telling the truth, Zhao Yulan's family was fiendishly persecuted by perpetrators from the Qinghai Provincial government. Their homes were frequently and unlawfully searched and their money and belongings were taken away. "610 Office" personnel detained, sent to forced labour or sentenced to prison four people from their family. Within less than half a year, Zhao Yulan's older son and daughter-in-law died as a result of torture. Her younger son has been detained in the labour camp and has been subjected to forced brainwashing.

Dafa practitioners at the labour camp are forced to transcribe letters prepared by the guards, renouncing their practice and denouncing Falun Dafa. The guards brutally torture those who do not comply, using sleep deprivation, forcing practitioners to stand for long periods of time, and hanging them up by ropes and shackles. The also tie up practitioners into positions that cause severe pain. They have exhausted their means of torturing determined Dafa practitioners. Even Ms. Pang Lihui, a practitioner who is over 70 years old, has also suffered these tortures. Guards took her to the notorious so-called "Guangzhou City Law Education School." They covered her mouth with strong, wide tape, wrapping it around her head about eight times. Ms. Pang could not breathe.

The genocide occurring in China over the last nearly five years has been exposed to the international community through the lawsuits filed against Jiang Zemin around the world since October 2002. Jiang and his followers have been facing more and more trials, not only in the courts of law but also in the courts of morality and in people's hearts.

In November 2003, I listened to Teacher Li's Falun Gong lectures. After that, my body got better every day and all the symptoms went away. On the 15th of the Chinese New Year of 2004, the eye with cataracts could suddenly see again. Later I was able to see letters on playing cards, which I used to play. Now, I feel that my body is light and I am extremely happy. I would like to use my personal experience to tell everyone in the world that Falun Dafa is good!

The lawsuit against Jiang helps stop the persecution. The lawsuit is against Jiang's regime, not the Chinese government. Falun Gong practitioners hope that the Chinese government stops being the Jiang regime's tool and actively help end the brutal persecution. We hope that everyone, including the government and law communities, will lend their support and voice on behalf of justice and condemn the Jiang regime, bring the perpetrator of murder and torture to court and end the large-scale persecution.
