A student from China asked some questions which practitioners answered one by one. She was curious that there were Western people practicing Falun Gong too and was also astonished to learn that Falun Gong practitioners do not receive any monetary reward for promoting Dafa outside. It is done voluntarily and free of charge.

On April 22nd,1995, Master Li Hongzhi came to Sweden in person and taught the Fa to Swedish practitioners. Since then, Falun Dafa has spread widely in Sweden. Swedish Dafa disciples gathered at the Stockholm Wasa Museum to celebrate the introduction of Falun Dafa to Sweden nine years ago and they showed many tourists the beauty of Falun Dafa.

'On June the 4th 1989, on TV screens all over the world, the Chinese Government arbitrarily slaughtered college students who called for democracy and had no weapons. After ten years, the leadership of the Chinese government again launched a brutal campaign of persecution against Falun Gong practitioners who adhere to their belief in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.'

A number of Falun Gong practitioners from all over the UK, travelled to Aberdeen in Scotland to let people know about the persecution of Falun Gong. Practitioners were demonstrating Falun Gong exercises, handing out leaflets and collecting petition signatures from the public.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Mingxiang was 46 years old and lived in Shandong Province. He was forced to leave home for four years because of the persecution. On December 21, 2003, he was arrested while distributing truth clarification materials in Duanbolan Town, Jimo City. Villagers discovered his body in a haystack on December 30, 2003. On May 25, 2004, Zhao Mingxiang's family went to the Jimo City Police Department to claim the body. The police said Zhao Mingxiang died from "hunger and cold weather." Zhao Mingxiang obviously died after suffering nine days of brutal torture at the Duanbolan Police Station in Jimo City. We assume the police disposed of his body in order to escape responsibility.

Ms. Zhou Yuqin, 59 years old, lived in Tangshan City of Hebei Province. On June 9, 2001, police officer Zhang Zhiqiang and others from the Kaiping Police Station came to her home and detained her in the Kaiping Brainwashing Centre. She was given only three and a half steamed buns each day to eat. The cruel physical and mental torture she was forced to endure made her weaker and weaker, until her life was in danger. The brainwashing class personnel feared to take responsibility, so they ordered her family members to take her home. Forty days after she returned home, all the attempts to restore her health failed, and she died on September 1, 2001.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Tian Lifu was around 50 years of age and lived in Wuhan City. In February 2000, Tian Lifu was abducted and sent to a Detention Centre in Wuhan City where he was physically and mentally tortured. Soon after, he was sent to a Brainwashing Centre where he was further abused and mistreated. His condition worsened by the day but the persecution didn't end. He was handcuffed even when he was rushed to a hospital for emergency treatment. He was sent home and put under watch. During this period, he was constantly harassed, threatened and interrogated. Tian Lifu passed away in November 2001.

Fifty -three year old Ms. Sun Qiuxiang is a farmer's wife from Huying Town, Shandong Province. Her daughter and herself were both arrested and tortured by police because they practise Falun Gong. Her daughter was pregnant at the time. She could not endure the torture and passed out. The head of the "610 Office," Li Xiaoming, beat her face and legs after she lost consciousness. Later they took Ms. Sun's daughter to the hospital for an intravenous infusion. The next day, when they saw that she was doing OK, they again brutally beat her. They were even so cruel to a pregnant woman.

Group practice and group Fa-study are the forms of Falun Dafa cultivation that Teacher has left for us from the very beginning, and are things that cannot be changed. Every Falun Dafa practitioner has followed Teacher's requirements at the beginning and has made constant progress this way. It is because my thoughts were not righteous that I had not met Teacher's requirements and my cultivation went off course.

The persecution of Falun Dafa in our area is very severe. In order to ensure that fellow practitioners get to read Master's new lectures in time, so that we are able to understand the Fa from the Fa, and do well in validating the Fa, my wife and I managed to overcome many difficulties and purchased a computer, a second-hand printer, and some supplies.

The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), in its annual report on the status of religious freedom worldwide, stated that the Chinese government continues to engage in particularly severe violations of religious freedom.
