"Is the [Prime Minister] aware of the various methods used to persecute the Falun Gong in China: rape, gang rape, throwing stripped female practitioners into male prison cells, using electric batons to shock practitioners' sensitive body parts, imprisonment in water cells where the practitioners are immersed in dirty water with no light, stretching and tying practitioners' limbs to the four corners of a metal bed?"

On September the 12th 2003, the District Court dismissed the suit against Jiang Zemin on the basis of his right to immunity as head of state. The public widely criticised this decision. The plaintiffs filed an appeal on January the 12th 2004 with the Appeals Court in Chicago. On Thursday May the 27th 2004, attorneys, plaintiffs and others functioning as amicus curiae will have an opportunity to verbally address the Appeals Court in Chicago and voice their views.

On May the 27th 2004, Falun Gong practitioners in Helsinki appealed at the Chinese embassy to support the legal action taken in the USA against the former President of the People’s Republic of China, Jiang Zemin. Jiang is the main responsible person in the persecution of Falun Gong and he is charged with torture, genocide and crimes against humanity.

On May the 18th, practitioners in Berlin were invited by a Berlin Police Station to hold a seminar to introduce Falun Gong. Over ten high-ranking police officers attended the seminar and the discussion which followed. Practitioners introduced the cultivation method of Falun Gong, and the brutal persecution that is happening in China.

For two Sundays Falun Gong practitioners were able to demonstrate the exercises and inform people about Falun Gong's background in a special atmosphere. Many visitors to the park were interested and wished to learn more about the gentle exercises and profound principles.

"Toward the end of 2002 in Masanjia's Second Women's Camp, the police were forcing Falun Dafa practitioners to renounce their belief, while horror could be felt everywhere. The police carried handcuffs and ropes with them. The authorities were going wild. I now stay on the first floor. This is the floor where the tortures take place. Observing the unwavering Dafa practitioners being persecuted until their last, weak breaths and until they are mentally unstable is horrifying to watch"

Falun Dafa Practitioner Diao Xihui is twenty-nine years old. His wife, Lu Yanna, is thirty-one years old. They are from Longkou City and are both teachers. Their first child was born on March 29, 2004 and only ten days later Diao Xihui disappeared, presumed arrested for telling people about the persecution of Falun Dafa. Realizing that she was in danger, and not having recovered from giving birth Lu Yanna moved out to avoid further persecution. However, she did not escape. Police from Longkou City found her and took her and her daughter back to Longkou City even though her daughter was not even one month old. At present, no one knows where Ms. Lu is.

The violent force-feeding used at Huludao Detention Centre in Liaoning Province is an excruciating torture. The guards demand that criminal inmates force-feed hunger striking Falun Dafa practitioners. The prisoners are usually reluctant to do it, and they often vent their anger on the practitioners that are to be forcibly fed. They curse, beat and otherwise abuse their victims while force feeding.

The "Legal Education Centre" in Yakeshi City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (AR) is in fact a vicious brainwashing centre.On November 4, 2002, right before the 16th Chinese Party (CCP) Congress, the police in Yakeshi City mass arrested many Falun Dafa practitioners for having firm beliefs in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." Participating personnel exerted pressure on the workplaces of the arrested Falun Dafa practitioners, and forced their workplaces to collude with authorities, send their employees to the brainwashing centre, and pay 5,000 Yuan room and board for the arrested practitioner(s) and "helpers" from the workplace. "610 Office" personnel and police officers used violence and torture on practitioners, and threatened them with forced labour and imprisonment using mean and shameless methods.

After checking out several places that we considered suitable, we found that there were already people practicing some other morning exercises there. While we were a little worried about finding a place, our most respected Teacher selected a different practice site for us. The practice site was smooth and flat, the environment was nice, and it could hold more people. After it was set up, the number of people coming to our practice site increased day by day. Within one year, the number of people practicing there increased from a few dozen to a few hundred.

I read a story about a practitioner who managed to leave a detention center after going on a hunger strike. She had barely recovered when several policemen came to arrest her again from her home. She didn't open the door, so they tried to forcefully break in by ramming her window and door. She sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the persecution against her, but they kept on fiercely hitting her window. Suddenly a righteous thought came to her mind, "The evil is not allowed to persecute Dafa." In a split second they had gone.

On May the 27th 2004, the U.S. Federal Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago will be the site for the court debate regarding the lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. This lawsuit against the head perpetrator of the persecution of Falun Gong and former Chinese president Jiang Zemin is receiving more and more attention from the international community and the general public.

On May 21st, Chinese Communist Party Secretary Wang Taihua was served with a class-action lawsuit charging him with torture, murder, and genocide. The complaint alleges that under Wang’s direction, the four plaintiffs were subjected to torture and abuse in the Female Labour Re-Education Camp and mental hospitals located in Anhui Province.
