On February the 12th 2004, Falun Gong practitioner Li Dan, an inhabitant of Irkutsk City in Russia, received news that his forty one year-old sister Li Xia, also a Falun Gong practitioner, was kidnapped at home in Shenyang City. Over ten security guards got involved in the kidnapping of Li Xia, who is now imprisoned in a detention centre in Shenyang City.

"I am very happy that this morning the European Parliament passed a resolution regarding the preparation for the UN Human Rights Conference in Geneva. The resolution urged the European Union to initiate a motion at this year’s Human Rights Conference to condemn the human rights abuses in China and a series of other countries. In the resolution, the persecution of Falun Gong was mentioned in the text about China. Let’s see if the EU member states would make some active responses to European Parliament's initiatives."

At the end of January, dozens of Falun Gong practitioners were unlawfully arrested in Paris by French police who were apparently pressed by the Chinese authority. To raise the awareness of this incident, on February 17, German practitioners held an "Information Day" event at downtown Hamburg.

On February 6th, Italian Falun Gong practitioners went to the French Embassy in Rome to hand in a letter. The French Embassy is situated in the famous ‘Fantasia Edifice’, one of the most magnificent buildings in Rome. Followed by the instruction of the police, we showed a banner opposite the building in the Piazza. The President of the famous human rights group ‘HANDS OFF CAIN’ Mr. Delia and the Vice President Ms. Elizabeth also joined our activities.

Falun Gong practitioners held a peaceful protest outside the Chinese Embassy and the Chinese Consulate in Stockholm, to protest against the worsening of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, as more arrests and killings continue, demanding to bring Jiang Zemin and his cohorts to justice.

On the 19th and 20th of February 2004, Israeli Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front the Chinese Embassy in Tel Aviv, calling for an end to the Jiang regime’s persecution of Falun Gong. Practitioners strongly requested the chief perpetrators Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang be brought to justice.

Jiang's group has been persecuting Falun Gong for more than four years, during which time countless Falun Gong practitioners, their families, friends and colleagues were targeted and suffered various losses. As Jiang's group tries to destroy the evidence in trying to escape punishment, can they also undo the anguish and torment they caused Falun Gong practitioners and their families and friends?

In April 2001, several foreign reporters were planning to visit the Tuanhe Forced Labour Camp. The whole labour camp, from the top levels down to the lower levels, began their customary acts of deception, forcing practitioners of all groups to repeatedly watch those internally-produced video programmes entitled, "60 Questions and Answers for the Foreign Reporters." They drilled practitioners, forcing them to be consistent in speaking these astonishing lies. For example, if asked whether the detainees here were verbally abused, beaten or physically abused, the answer must be "no."

According to Amnesty International's medical advice, these drugs are not in themselves sinister. There are specific disorders for which they are prescribed, but they should be administered by qualified doctors, and their use monitored. In the light of cases of torture and ill-treatment of Falun Gong practitioners, and in the absence of evidence that they suffer from any psychiatric disorder, it is evident that the administration of such drugs are a punitive measure.

Professor Piao was a good man with great virtue. He taught many outstanding students and had many academic achievements. But such a good person was subjected to such inhumane persecution by Jiang Zemin's group until, in the end, he died in the Yanji Detention Centre with no legal recourse, simply because he believed in Falun Dafa and Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance.

The International Conference on “Genocide in the New Era”, organised by “Friends of Falun Gong Europe” and “International Advocates for Justice”, took place in Sweden’s capital, Stockholm from January 26th to January 28th 2004. This is one of the conference speeches by New York Bar attorney Theresa Chu entitled "Justice against the Crime of Genocide", which was given on the morning of Tuesday January 27th.

After more than two years of legal proceedings, the Quebec Superior Court will reach a verdict after the court will hear legal arguments from lawyers of both sides between February 23 to February 25, 2004.

Falun Gong practitioner Fu Xueying has been detained in China since the end of last October. On February 17, her family members received notice that Fu would be charged and prosecuted charging her with "undermining the execution of national law" because she distributed VCDs clarifying the truth about Falun Gong.

Canadian Falun Gong practitioner Zenon Dolnyckyj went to Taiwan in mid-February to promote his new book Coming for You. During his stay, he visited two jails and one juvenile detention centre. He talked about his positive turnaround after practicing Falun Gong and his experience of visiting China to the inmates and presented books to the jails for the inmates to read.

On February 19, 2004, Dafa practitioners in Wellington, New Zealand held a press conference in front of the Chinese Embassy and demanded to bring chief persecutors of Falun Gong Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Zhou Yingkang, and Liu Jing to justice.
