In Paris on January 24th, during the Spring Festival, the French Falun Dafa Association obtained permission for a peaceful parade in front of the Sacre Coeur, one of the largest tourist attractions in Paris. When passers-by and tourists and the people of Paris, including the city’s police officers, learned the facts about this persecution, they all warmly showed their support and encouragement.

"Currently the verified number of deaths of Falun Gong practitioners is almost nine hundred, but the real death toll is far more than that. Over 200,000 people are being unlawfully detained; over one hundred million people are being made victims of this large-scale persecution. So far the persecution has lasted for four and a half years and is still continuing. Many renowned lawyers around the world came to an agreement that this is the largest and most evil genocide ever since World War II."

It has been confirmed that two male Falun Gong practitioners from Yangquan City, Shanxi Province have been tortured to death in labour camps. Guo Jifang, over 50 years old, died from brutal abuse two years ago in the Tuanhe Labour Camp in Beijing. Li Huiwen, a young Chinese medical doctor, was tortured to death a year ago in the Xindian Labour Camp in Shanxi Province.

Ms. Hou Youfang was a 49 year old Falun Gong practitioner and a teacher at Xipuo High School in Jinchang City, Gansu province. She was taken away by police in August 2002 for distributing truth-clarifying materials to people. She resolutely refused to write the so-called "Repentance Statement". So the police began to cruelly beat her. She died on November 29, 2002 because of the torture. It was said that she suffered from internal bleeding. Her rib cage and pelvic cavity were broken as a result of the beating.

...Policemen from the National Security Brigade left nothing in the Suns' home untouched, and the floor was strewn with objects the police had thrown around. These policemen kept cursing and uttering nothing but profanities while they ransacked the Sun's house, and they then knocked down the wardrobe. Finally, the police abducted Mr. and Mrs. Sun, and left their 13-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son alone at home with no one to care for them...

The former head of the Weifang "610 Office"* Song Jiwu, in collaboration with the Weifang Forced Labour Camp, has been holding brainwashing sessions since March 15, 2001. Over 100 Falun Dafa Practitioners have been brutally tortured and persecuted in these brainwashing sessions. The deputy head of the Forced Labour Camp, Zou Jintian has been directly involved in the brainwashing. The Head of the Camp's Second Division, Ding Guihua has also directly arranged the persecution of practitioners.

My parents-in-law are not practitioners but they respect Teacher very much and they think that Falun Dafa is good. A few of my relatives had formerly listened to the regime's lies and were manipulated by the media, but now they are also practising Falun Gong. They often tell me their experiences in practising Falun Gong. Even my elder brother, who had objections for a long time, also knows that Falun Gong is good.

Displaying banners reading, "Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice," "Bring Luo Gan to Justice," "Bring Liu Jing to Justice" and "Bring Zhou Yongkang to Justice," practitioners appeal the persecution in China outside the Chinese consulate in Chicago.

On February 3, 2004, the Ontario Superior Court in Canada reached a verdict in the libel lawsuit against Pan Xinchun, the Chinese Deputy Consul General in Toronto. The judge ruled in favour of Toronto Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Joel Chipkar. The court also ordered Pan Xinchun, who failed to show up in court, to compensate for damage incurred by his libel.
