“This County Council calls on the Government to use its position as Chair of the EU - China Human Rights Dialogue taking place in Dublin this month, to demand that the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China is ended and all prisoners immediately released. In particular that pressure would be put on to secure the return of Dun Laoghaire students, Liu Feng and Yang Fang, to complete their studies in Ireland and that this motion would be brought to the attention of the Minister.”

On the 5th of February 2004, Lars Lejonborg, leader of the People’s Party in Sweden, held a lecture in the Gothenburg Business University. During his lecture, Lars Lejonborg expressed a strong dissatisfaction with the human rights situation in China. He specifically mentioned that Falun Gong is suffering serious persecution in China. A Falun Gong practitioner attending the lecture handed over some information to Lars Lejonborg about the recent serious incidents in Paris, where Falun Gong practitioners were arrested because of pressure from the Chinese regime.

"We are deeply alarmed by reports that the French police have harassed and detained at least 50 Falun Gong practitioners in the Champs-Elysées area during the Chinese New Year celebrations in Paris this year for peacefully distributing Falun Gong information material, or merely for wearing yellow clothes...We are also shocked to learn that some of those people had been handcuffed like criminals. No proper reason was given for their arrest only irrational remarks like, “yellow is forbidden today.” The unreasonable action by the French authorities violates the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms."

RFI reported on the 6th of February that a Canadian court announced the verdict of libel against the Chinese Deputy Consul in Toronto.

Mr. Na became very weak as a result of sinister and cruel persecution of both mind and body in the camp. He also became emaciated. His feet became deformed and he could only walk with the support of at least two others. The labour camp authorities were afraid of taking the responsibility for their abuse, so they released him on November 17 2003. However, Mr. Na Changjian was unable to recover from the terrible abuse and died on January 14 2004.

The activity targets students in elementary and middle schools, and farmers. The plan of attack is to adopt a face-to-face approach in villages to display pictures and VCD's based on fabrications in order to slander Falun Gong. Farmers and students will be forced to watch slanderous videos and to view the exhibition. Afterwards, the students are asked to enter a contest by writing articles and speeches that slander Falun Dafa.

In July of 2002, Wang Lin attended a joint entrance exam for a provincial high school. In the politics section of the paper there was a question defaming Falun Gong. Wang Lin answered the question truthfully stating: Falun Dafa is good, and Falun Dafa is righteous. Later on officials from the Political and Judiciary Committee, Police Department and Provincial Education Committee came looking for her. Wang was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution

Miss Fu, Li's fiancée, has said that she can feel the pain Li is suffering in the brainwashing class even though she is in the US. The pain comes from being forced to do things you never want to do and from having your basic human nature altered. Li is a truthful person. He never tells lies and wants to be a good, compassionate person with great tolerance. They torture him and attempt to transform him. That is a pain no words can describe.

I wanted everything I did to be perfect. After all, didn't our words represent Dafa to the world? To some extent, this was genuine idealism, but now, looking back, I can see that my attitude was not totally righteous, as it was formed at least in part by an attachment to reputation. I could not easily accept criticism, so I would seek perfection in the hope there would be nothing for anyone to complain about. I was doing the right thing, but not for the right reason.

Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front of the French Embassy in Japan to urge the French government to immediately investigate the arrest incident in Paris, resist the interference and economic enticement from the Jiang's group, and stop similar incidents of violating practitioners' human rights from recurring.

On the evening of February 7, 2004, nearly 200 Falun Gong practitioners participated in the San Francisco New Year Celebration to display the beauty of Falun Dafa to the local people. FOX TV station and KTSF Chinese TV station broadcast the event live to millions of viewers.

"We have no ill feeling toward the French government, but we ask that you not forget the countless practitioners of Falun Gong who are suffering atrocities in labour camps, mental hospitals, and detention centres across China. We are concerned for France that these wrongful arrests have brought your country one step closer to the stark reality and practice of persecution and injustice in China. We urge you to take immediate measures to rectify this wrong and to prevent greater damage to the dignity and reputation of your country within the international community."

According to a geology professor at Tokyo University, the area must have sunk around 10,000 years ago, that is, during the last Ice Age. However, based on modern scientific understanding, human beings were still primitives, hunting animals for food then. It is unlikely they would have been able to build such pyramid-like structures. Some people believe it to be the doings of some unknown culture. One may wonder if such an advanced and prosperous civilisation really once existed. Do these undersea ruins exist only in Japan? The answer is No.
