From 2000 to 2002, Zhao Ming, currently studying in Ireland, and Chen Gang, currently staying in the United States, experienced cruel spiritual and physical torture at Beijing's Tuanhe labour camp because of their belief in Falun Gong. On November 21st 2003, they met again in Europe and gathered with thirty nine other Falun Gong practitioners from various countries to sue sixteen Chinese government officials.

Ireland student Liu Feng was detained in Dalian Forced Labour Camp because he is a Falun Gong practitioner. Recently, practitioners received information that Liu Feng has been released but is in hospital. This only occurs when a labour camp detainee has been tortured close to death and prison authorities intend to shift the blame away from themselves.

Ms. Geng Xiulan was arrested while she was distributing Dafa truth-clarifying flyers a few days before the 2001 Chinese New Year. Chief Li Cai and his teammates forced Ms. Geng to provide a list of practitioners who participated in this event by beating her, using an electric baton and wrapping wire around her two fingers to electrically shock her. As a result of being tortured with electric shock, her cardiovascular system was damaged, she now has constant seizures. Later, police handcuffed her onto heating pipes. She had to keep a position of half-way squatting on her heels and half-way standing.

On January 6, 2004, the Shulan City Court brought to trial four Dafa practitioners without due process. Two policemen dragged practitioner Fu Hongwei into the court, whose legs were seriously injured due to torture. Because family members saw through the attempt by the court to secretly hold a trial for the four practitioners, they immediately requested permission to be spectators. In the court, Fu Hongwei shouted: "Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is the righteous law! Restore the rightful reputation of my Teacher!"

In the Shizishan Labour Camp for Drug Addicts in Wuchang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, the authorities have resorted to the basest methods to torture Dafa practitioners into giving up their belief. Police even instigated drug addicts to put heroin paste and other poisonous drugs into practitioners' food. A Huangshi City practitioner who exposed their crime publicly was sent to a mental hospital for further persecution, on police orders.

Falun Gong practitioners from Auckland participated in the local Chinese New Year Celebration. This activity was organized by Auckland Overseas Chinese Association and it is a large scale Chinese New Year event that have many government officials and political leaders show up every year.

Canadian practitioners of the exercise- and meditation-based spiritual movement will hold a joint press conference this morning on Parliament Hill. Along with representatives of the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong, they will make public their recent co-operation with Canada's Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Program in bringing to justice the persecutors of the Falun Gong. The program can bar from entry, deny a visa, deport and prosecute the perpetrators of crimes against humanity.

What should we call this ability to read with the hands? Those who are familiar with exceptional abilities call it a supernormal ability. In countries such as China, research has been performed to verify the existence of supernormal abilities. Reading with the hands is believed to be one such ability. Professor Sicen Li of Taiwan University has been active in researching this ability since 1993. His friend brought an 11-year-old girl named Qiaowu Gao to him as a subject.
