Recently, Israeli practitioners have started to send letters to those in the legal profession in Israel. Some lawyers have already signed the petition, and one of them was so moved by the letter that he requested to meet practitioners immediately. When practitioners met him, he was eager to help in any way he could and even asked to read “Zhuan Falun”. At the end of the meeting, there were tears in his eyes, and he hugged practitioners warmly.

Dafa practitioner Duan Shiqiong endured more than a year of incarceration, gross abuse, torment and persecution in the Chengdu City Detention Centre. None of her family members received any information about her during that period. Even in the final moments of her life, Chengdu City Detention Centre officials still did not inform her family. When her husband saw her body, it was impossible for him to recognise his wife. Her face looked completely different. She only weighed about 50 lbs.

Mr. Liu Chengjun was tortured to death on December 26, 2003. Jailed after tapping into Chinese cable TV networks and broadcasting the facts about the evil nature of the persecution, Liu Chengjun was an example of the courage and upright actions of Dafa practitioners in China as they break through Jiang's death-grip on the state-controlled media. News of his death has brought public outcry, as practitioners demand his murders be brought to justice. The following is an account of the circumstances surrounding his death

I was sent to a forced-labour camp. I was not a Falun Gong practitioner, so I was not treated as harshly as they were, but I had the opportunity to witness the brutal torture of many Falun Gong practitioners, and I also had the chance to meet with some steadfast Dafa practitioners. Chen Jingru, nearly 40, is gentle, quiet, restrained, and able to endure hardships. I have a very deep and good impression of her because of the way she carried herself.

To ease public pressure, Guizhou Police Department used propaganda to lie and spread terror. First, they spread lies in the media, saying that the Internet monitoring system was only to monitor illegal websites and would not monitor typical internet users. Second, they threatened the Internet café managers that they would be shut down if they didn't comply. They restricted access to articles on the Web that expressed any discontent about the new policy, and coerced café owners to comply with threats of fines and detention.

When I received the paycheck in early August, I noticed that the company had forgotten to account for my leave. I had received an extra day’s pay. I went to the foreman again. After he listened to my explanations, he asked, “What is your hourly pay?” I said, “Ten Euros.” He said with a smile, “Mine is 20 Euros an hour. It is fine, forget about it!” Then, he returned the paycheck to me. I insisted, “Please talk to the people in the office.”

On January 14, 2003, Falun Gong practitioners in Indonesia gathered outside the Chinese Embassy to hold a memorial for Liu Chengjun, who died as a result of torture for broadcasting documentary videos clarifying the truth about Falun Gong on the cable TV network in Changchun City.

The practitioners from the Greater New York Metropolitan Area delivered their New Year's greetings to people from all walks of life in the communities with a bright appearance and wonderful performances. They hoped to bring their sincere blessing of "Falun Dafa is good" to every one, and wished everyone good luck and happiness in the year of Monkey.
