Dafa practitioners in Austria gathered at the Chinese Embassy on January 6th to mourn the death of fellow practitioner Liu Chengjun. They appealed for the arrest and severe punishment of his murderers. The brutal killing of Liu Chengjun indicates the vicious and callous nature of the persecution in China and shows that the evildoers are scared that their crimes will be exposed.

On Christmas evening 2003, Liu Chengjun, a Falun Gong practitioner who was brutally tortured in a labour camp, died at the Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital in the Chinese city of Changchun. Liu’s name was on Amnesty International's Urgent Rescue list. Dafa practitioners from several cities in Latvia gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy in Riga to peacefully appeal and call upon society to severely punish the wicked people who persecute Falun Gong practitioners.

During the Christmas and New Year holidays, UK practitioners held a retreat in London. After Fa study, practitioners shared their experiences and understandings about cultivation during Fa-rectification. Some practitioners gave specific accounts of their situation and understanding about cultivating themselves, sending forth righteous thoughts and validating the Fa.

It has been verified through a news source in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, that Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Shen Lizhi was tortured to death on March 3, 2002 at the hands of perpetrators from Chengdu City "610 Office," who also forced his wife to abort her eight-month-old foetus. The news source revealed that police officers Tian Xinming and others from the Chengdu City "610 Office" are directly responsible for taking these two innocent lives.

The prison doctor furthermore force-fed him poisonous drugs. When the drugs took effect the pain and itch on his chest was so unbearable that he scratched it severely until it was bleeding. Before the prison doctor did the force-feeding, detention centre Director Zhao ordered the doctor to give him an injection of poison. The doctor cautioned that such injection might be too dangerous, so they decided to force-feed Xie Guichen with poisonous drugs instead.

In 2002, all employers of Falun Gong practitioners had to pay 20,000 Yuan per employee per month for the brainwashing class. In 2003, the employers were forced to pay 5,000 to 6,000 Yuan per employed Falun Gong practitioner per month. They not only sent gangs to beat up practitioners, but also ordered them to steal farmers' harvests in the fields at midnight.

Over the past four years, out of loyalty to Jiang Zemin's Regime, Wang Shuchun has carried out Jiang's genocidal policy of "ruin Falun Gong practitioners' reputations, devastate them financially and destroy them physically." Under Wang's plotting and conniving, with his instructions and direct participation, hundreds of practitioners were monitored, abducted and detained. Over a dozen Dafa practitioners were sent to labour camps, two were sentenced, numerous practitioners were fined and their homes were searched.

In the last four years, under the brutal persecution, practitioners have behaved according to Dafa's principles of "Truth, Compassion, and Forbearance" and used compassionate, peaceful and tolerant hearts to clarify the truth to people who are under the influence of the Jiang regime's slander campaign. We hope people can have a clear mind to tell the truth from the lies and the kind from the evil.

On December 31 2003, St Louis Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference at the famous Gateway Arch. While commemorating Liu Chengjun, the practitioners also called for punishment for Jiang Zemin and Liu Chengjun's murderers.
