"The Ombudsman has basically approved all the arguments from the Government for its unacceptable actions of denying entry of peaceful Falun Gong practitioners, compiling and distributing and using a blacklist of practitioners, detention of practitioners and other wrongful treatments...This goes against the proud traditions of Icelandic democracy and the overwhelming wishes of the modern Icelandic people. This must be corrected, for the sake of Iceland and its people as well as justice for practitioners involved. We call on the Ombudsman to re-consider his conclusions as urgently as possible."

On the morning of the 17th of December 2003, around 40 Falun Gong practitioners from France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, and Switzerland, gathered in front of the European Parliament to hold a peaceful appeal to bring Jiang Zemin, the prime culprit of the campaign of persecution against Falun Gong, to justice in a court of law.

On New Year’s Day, we introduced Falun Dafa and clarified the facts in a well known district of Prague. At every intersection, tourists gathered and practitioners handed them materials. There were also some people who had not learned about Falun Gong, but when they heard the facts they were shocked and wished practitioners success.

They first locked the practitioners in a room and then, one by one, took them to another room to try to force them to sign a letter renouncing Falun Gong. Those who refused to do so were electrocuted with cattle prods and beaten with batons. Outside, loudspeakers boomed threats against Falun Gong practitioners throughout the camp. The report says the electric buzz of the cattle prods, the shouting of the torturers, the screaming of the practitioners combined with the threats belted out from the loudspeakers covered the camp with a sense of fear and terror.

For refusing to renounce her belief in Falun Gong, 55-year-old female Falun Gong practitioner Yu Guizhen from Chengguan Town, Pingdu City, Shandong Province was sent to a mental hospital against her will. Officials from the local "610 Office" are responsible. Mental hospital staff injected her with drugs that (when improperly administered) destroy the central nervous system, which lead to psychosis and death.

Chen Guijun was a 59-year-old lady who lived in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province...Chen's family of five all practise Falun Gong and all her family members have been subjected to persecution to various degrees. In 2001, her husband Zhu Yu was arrested and detained in the Xinhua Labour Camp in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. During his detention he was persecuted so badly that he almost lost his vision in both eyes.

Never believe the words that attack Dafa on the fabricated apology letters as shown on TV. They have deceived many people into believing that former Dafa practitioners are very regretful. But no one knows of the cruel reality behind each of the letters. Those words were written under extreme mental and physical torture and when one was forced to act against one's own will.

A so-called doctor punched and kicked her until her forehead was bruised and swollen and she eventually fell unconcious. She only awoke after being administered oxygen and emergency treatment. Her teeth were loose and her body was covered with bruises and swollen. She is very ill, vomitting and discharging blood as a result of being tortured by authorities and doctors.

Jiang Zemin has never followed any law in dealing with Falun Gong. All of his actions in the persecution were illegal. The Chinese legal system is not at all unbiased, and the so-called law is only the dictator's butcher knife. If tapping into a TV system is illegal in China, it's the same as saying the dictator is allowed to kill, but the people are not allowed to cry their voice.

On December 11, 2003, Australian citizen Esther Wang's elder sister Wang Wei was released from the Jiangbei Forced Labour Camp in Chongqing City of Sichuang Province, prior to the expiration of her term. This was achieved with the support of the appeal of an overseas rescue campaign. Upon her release, she was much thinner than before her imprisonment, but she was in good spirits.

In 2003, seven family members of Canadian residents who had been illegally detained in China for practicing Falun Gong were released under rescue efforts. They are Yang Yueli, Lin Mingli, Wu Zhanzhong, Lu Xiuzhen, Yuelei, Liu Baoxing and Chen Yinghua. 2003 is the year that saw the most rescued family members since July, 1999.

The Sunshine Plaza came alive with song and dance, as the ‘Petals of Peace' Cultural Event, showcasing the beauty of traditional Chinese dance, music and Falun Dafa exercises delighted shoppers at the Sunshine Coast's largest Shopping Centre on Jan 3, 2004.

"Many details of subsequent human evolution over the period of the ice ages remain unclear, but one certain finding from both anthropological and genetic data is that there was no later time when the size of the human species became small again," says Hawks. "So the 'Eve theory' of modern human origins, which states that modern human populations very recently arose as a new African species that replaced all other indigenous peoples such as Neanderthals, can be put to rest."
