In November 2003, 41 Falun Gong practitioners from Europe, North America and Australia sued sixteen Chinese officials in Germany. Among them, Zhao Zhifei, Deputy Chief of Public Security for Hubei Province, was sued overseas by Falun Gong practitioners for the second time on charges of Genocide, Infliction of Cruel Torture and Crimes Against Humanity. This article reveals how persecution in Hubei Province destroyed an innocent family of Falun Gong practitioners.

After the Christmas break, on December the 27th, the shops re-opened and shoppers flocked to the high-streets for the sales. Welsh and English Falun Dafa practitioners seized this precious opportunity to hold a demonstration of the Falun Gong exercises right in the centre of the Welsh city of Swansea.

Dafa practitioners taught the five sets of exercises for one and half hours and the atmosphere was very peaceful. Many of the people there already knew about the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in Mainland China. Dafa practitioners also answered any questions they had. Many people said that they were glad to have the chance to learn the practice.

The "Fixed-Bed" torture is conducted in 3 steps: Step 1: Person's four limbs are bound to the 4 corners of the hard bed; Step 2: Once limbs are bound to the bed, the body is lifted high in the air and is stretched in all four directions, causing severe pain; Step 3: After the body is lifted and stretched, a rolled up quilt is forced under the body to hold the stretching position. The body is then continuously stretched in four directions and then the body is pressed down to cause the maximum pain.

My blood pressure was very high and my heart was not good as well. My brain wasn't getting enough blood supply, and I was often in a semi-conscious state. I even lost consciousness and was in a serious condition. My complexion was dark, my lips were blue and I was emaciated. I had extreme oedema in my feet and legs, so bad that I could not even wear shoes. My feet and arms became black and purple from serious blood capillary haemorrhages after my feet and arms were handcuffed for a long period of time.

Mr. Zhang said to his mother, "They tied up my hands and feet, and injected some drug in the top of my head. After the injection, I was not aware of anything." His mother went to tell the doctor that her son did not have any problem or history of mental illness. She asked the doctor to tell her what drug they injected her son with. The doctor's chilling reply was, "Something to clear up his mind. Once his mind is clear, everything will be fine."

I didn't want to sleep at all that cold winter night. Usually, police officers are regarded as protectors of the people, but what happened in the police station office, in front of many police officers, sent chills down my spine. No one ever came to me and offered to talk about the assault. Sooner or later, the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong will be exposed clearly in the public eye. One day, I will take legal action against this deranged perpetrator who sexually assaulted me.

Practitioner: We can tell from the high quality that the incident wasn't videotaped accidentally. The cameramen must have been well prepared. Did you know there would be an immolation incident happening in Tiananmen Square?
Policeman: We might have known that. Therefore, we got prepared to videotape it.
Practitioner: Then why didn't you stop the immolation? Why did you still let it happen?
Policeman: (With a smile of embarrassment.) We needed the shocking effect.

At the end of the day, the practitioners said they felt quite physically tired, but their hearts were full of joy and energy. They saw so many people learn the truth about Falun Dafa and take the side of the righteousness to support Falun Dafa that they felt happy.

Macao Falun Gong practitioners held a candlelight vigil on the evening of January 2, 2004 at the park opposite the Chinese Liaison Office to commemorate Liu Chengjun and several other Dafa practitioners who were tortured to death because of the TV-tapping incident in Changchun City. They called upon more people to show concern over the brutal persecution of Falun Gong that is currently happening in China.

Indianapolis Falun Gong practitioners took the opportunity of a college basketball game to take to the streets and introduce Falun Gong and the persecution to the American people. They also collected signatures calling for the release of American citizen Charles Li from incarceration in China.
