Liu Chengjun should be applauded as a human rights hero, who has peacefully defended his faith and unveiled a web of deception spun by Jiang to hide his gross crimes against humanity. Mr. Liu used his life to clarify the facts to the public and to resist this evil persecution. History will remember the selfless and tremendous sacrifice Liu Chengjun has made for the world.

On January the 2nd, Belgian Falun Gong practitioners went to the Chinese consulate to protest against the atrocities committed by the Jiang regime against Falun Gong practitioners, and to mourn the death of Changchun practitioner Liu Chengjun, who was brutally persecuted to death several days ago.

On International Human Rights day, Swedish Dafa practitioners gathered together at Gustaf-Adolf square in Gothenburg. In order to let more people know about Falun Dafa and understand the facts about the persecution, practitioners handed out leaflets to passers-by.

While in the hospital, the captain of my unit, Li Jirong, was transferred out and another woman named Li took his place. She came to the hospital and threatened me, saying, "You'll be released soon. We will exchange opinions with the Japanese Embassy. Even after you return back to Japan, we can still extradite you back to China." She also made other threatening remarks. Without the help of the Japanese government and overseas Falun Gong practitioners, I don't know what might have happened to me. I suppose I might be dying in the labour camp right now, or at least have to suffer a longer term of confinement.

Ms. Liu Shuyun and Ms. Shi Xiuhong are practitioners from Yanbian Korean Ethnicity Autonomous Region, Jilin Province. After being illegally detained for two years, they were once again sentenced to ten years in prison. They are currently detained at Heizuizi Female Prison in Changchun City, Jilin Province....Incited by Xiao Bin from the security team, Jin Yongyi, Jin (the most notorious for cruelty), Huang and Piao employed barbaric methods to brutally torture the two women.

According to Chinese law, a person who is not in agreement with a forced labour sentence can appeal within 60 days. At the time of their detention all Falun Gong practitioners appealed in writing, demanding to be set free unconditionally, but their requests were categorically denied....A staff member named Sui Ziqiang said, "We cannot help it. The higher authorities ordered us to do this."

On the morning of April 27, 2001, the Xingtai Public Security Bureau and the Special Case Investigation Group again came to Junshan's home. This time they did not find him at home. Not satisfied, they abducted his daughter as a hostage, even though neither Junshan's son nor daughter practised Falun Gong. Junshan's wife had to ask people who had connections with the police to secure the release of their daughter after more than two days of detention and another 1,000 yuan in extortion fees. But the harassment did not end there.

It is very urgent that we stop the persecution and murder of innocent and kind-hearted people conducted by Jiang Zemin and his gang of followers. The Chinese people have the right to know the truth about their own countrymen being maltreated and wrongly persecuted. They have the right to know through TV and other public media the truth about Falun Gong practitioners being tortured to death.

At noon on January 2, 2004, in spite of the rain, Falun Gong practitioners from San Francisco Area held a news conference outside the Chinese Consulate to expose the so-called case of "Chen Fuzhao, homicide by poisoning", which was twisted by the Jiang's regime to frame Falun Gong and deceive people. Practitioners also demanded that Jiang Zemin, the prime criminal of the persecution, be brought to justice.

"We wish to celebrate the New Year practicing the exercises and informing people that right now in China, tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners are being brutally persecuted for persisting in their beliefs."
