We wish Master a Happy New Year! Time flies. Under Teacher's earnest and tireless guidance, we have passed through four difficult years. In this new year, we will firmly keep Master’s words in mind, strengthen our coordination and cooperation, improve as a whole, do the three things well, and walk every step well during the Fa-rectification.

With righteous thoughts and righteous actions, we will accomplish well the historic task of saving people, fulfil our pledges, will not disappoint Master’s expectations, and will walk every remaining step well on the path of Fa-rectification.

During the new year, all German Dafa practitioners gathered together to study the Fa, share their experiences, and improve as a whole body. All German Dafa practitioners respectfully wish our compassionate and great Master a Happy New Year!

Master’s earnest and tireless teachings direct the path on which we strive forward. Master’s immeasurable compassion has opened a future for all sentient beings. We thank Master for his infinite grace. We will certainly follow our Master closely. We will walk our path of Fa-rectification well, and not disappoint Master.

The claims put forth by Xinhua in this story follow a pattern of fabricated reports that have – under the orders of former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin – been faithfully churned out by China’s state-run media over the last four-plus years in an attempt to legitimise the persecution against Falun Gong, or at least dull the interest of would-be critics around the world.

The support from the people of London touched the practitioners’ hearts. Many people received a leaflet revealing more about the exercises of Falun Dafa and the persecution against this peaceful practice in China. Practitioners also handed out beautiful handmade paper Lotus Flowers with labels reading exactly what one of the official parade announcers told the audience: “The world needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance!”

Following the news of Liu Chengjun's death, on 31st December, Irish Falun Gong practitioners held a peaceful appeal outside the Chinese Embassy in Dublin. Like similar appeals around the world, they demanded those responsible for his death to be brought to trial and punished for their crimes.In an article, entitled China Protest, The Irish Examiner explained the reason for the appeal:

The lawless policemen were enraged and brutally beat Mr. Xuan repeatedly. Wang Xinmin and Zhu Yongjun poured cold water on Mr. Xuan after beating him. When he awoke from unconsciousness, they beat him again. They continuously beat him until they killed him. When Mr. Xuan died, he was face down, lying on the cement floor covered with muddy water and blood.

Ren Mengjun stated that all the materials he was forced to write denouncing Dafa were invalid. As a result, he was brutally beaten up by five or six on-duty police for a long time. His buttocks and thighs were black and blue, and his internal organs were severely injured. Several days later, he was unable to eat and his life was in great danger. To avoid responsibility, the labour camp rushed him home. About two weeks later he passed away.

On April 8, 2003, the Jinshui District Court put Song Xu on trial. Only a few government officials from the police, procuratorate, and legal system showed up. Under strong protests from Song Xu, they hurriedly proceeded with the trial. They held the trial secretly and did not allow him to have a lawyer or the ability to appeal. He was unjustly sentenced to 11 years. His family never received any notice from the court.

In the station, several policemen handcuffed Mr. Sun Baoyu behind the back and forced him to squat by a wall. Then they pressed a stool on his head, sat by his side, and put their feet on the stool. They tried to force him to tell his name, address, and the source of the Dafa truth-clarifying materials. He resisted the persecution with righteous thoughts and started to clarify the truth to them, and the policemen started to beat him. Several policemen kicked him in his chest, then took turns fiercely kicking his face and head. They slammed his head against the wall and it bounced back. This continued for more than 20 minutes.

I thought of my motherland – China, where people are deprived of this kind of spiritual aspiration. In the Great Cultural Revolution 30 years ago, all kinds of pursuit of spirituality and ancient culture were banned. Buddhists, Daoists, Christians and so on were all demanded to transform their faith, to believe in the the Party, and it’s doctrines and ideal such as “Communism liberates people heavily burdened under Capitalism”,

On the first day of the New Year, some national security agents and police officials (non-practitioners) from Beijing, Liaoning, Shandong, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan, Chongqing and some agents working overseas sent their New Year's greetings to Mr. Li Hongzhi and expressed their respect to Master Li Hongzhi.

On December 30, Falun Gong practitioners in Calgary came to the Chinese Consulate in Calgary to commemorate Liu Chengjun and demand an immediate end to the persecution against Falun Gong. Practitioner's peaceful protest attracted attention from local media.

On December 30 and 31, practitioners held candlelight vigils in front of the Chinese Consulate in Osaka to commemorate Liu Chengjun and demand that Jiang Zemin and the murderers of Liu Chengjun are brought to justice.

On December 13 the Chicago International Association for Near-Death Studies held a monthly symposium to discuss spiritual matters. Falun Gong practitioners participated in the symposium and clarified the truth of the persecution to more than 100 participants.
