"I have received your letter to the President dated 9th Dec. 2002 regarding the legislation of Article 23 in Hong Kong that has damaged basic human rights. We are very concerned about this and have studied it carefully."

"Amnesty International is investigating the recent detention of Dr. Charles Li, a U.S. citizen, by Chinese authorities...Amnesty International is also concerned about Dr. Li's health and is seeking assurances from the Chinese government that he is not being ill-treated."

At the airport, when I was reading Zhuan Falun, someone approached me and asked, “What is this? Falun Dafa?” I replied that it was and showed him that it said Falun Dafa on my coat. He called his wife and told her with much excitement, “Look, look, Falun Dafa!”

'The Mainland Affairs Council yesterday protested what it called the "brutal" treatment dozens of Falun Gong members from Taiwan received in Hong Kong as they were denied entry into the former British colony and sent back with six of them being tied up. "Some of the (ROC) nationals were even tied up and carried onto the plane. We strongly protest the brutal treatment by the Hong Kong government," the council said about the Friday incident at the Hong Kong airport.'

"We appeal to you to allow Mr. Li the right to defend himself in a court of law, and to allow the correct judicial procedures to exonerate him from any wrongdoing, and to have him released immediately in the name of human rights."

After much effort, the school management agreed with my request to have practitioners come to the school to talk about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. On the 10th of December a number of practitioners came, and for a few hours nearly a thousand students, teachers and other staff members learnt about the persecution, were introduced to Falun Gong and saw an exercise demonstration.

Martinique people showed great interest in Falun Gong and felt shocked to learn that Falun Gong practitioners in China are not allowed to practise the exercises, and are suffering inhuman persecution. The largest newspaper in Martinique, France Antilles published two announcements about Falun Gong activities (left).

A medical investigation and study on some Russian Falun Gong practitioners was conducted by an Investigation and Study Team, composed of Professor Guluoji (MD), a well known legal medical expert in the Legal and Medical Office of the Russian Federal Internal Affairs Department, and Mr. Simingtani, the Chief Examination Doctor in the Investigation Office of the Justice Department.

Wang Fengqin was tortured to death around January 28, 2003. However, the cold-hearted perpetrators notified her family only after the Spring Festival. Wang Fengqin's family members saw that her clothes were stuck to her dead body and could not be removed. Her wrists showed clear marks from handcuffs. What she must have endured is hard to imagine. After extorting 1,000 Yuan from her family, the authorities cremated her body.

While in detention, Wang Shouhui was subjected to inhumane torture. Mr. Wang firmly resisted the evildoers by going on a hunger strike. The detention centre cruelly force-fed him, with no regard for his life, which led to his untimely death.

Afterwards, the vicious gang blocked the news. Li Guangya, Party Secretary of the China Academy of Launching Technology, and Wu Zhongren, secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, boasted of their experience and achievements in "reforming" Falun Gong practitioners in a summing-up meeting at the academy. They even shifted the responsibility for Ren Yufen's death to Falun Gong. They have chosen to follow Jiang's regime to its dead end. It is despicable and doleful.

The harmful environment and filthy language in the detention centre, as well as police's frequent beating of practitioners, mentally scarred this cheerful, pure, and innocent young girl. Already deeply hurt by her father's illegal detention, her suffering reached the extreme when faced with this violence and brutality.

There are now many international organizations condemning the persecution in China and who are closely watching the situation. We must tell people about the truth of Falun Dafa and the persecution in China. Please help us to inform more Chinese people about the truth facts of Falun Dafa." The girl said, "Absolutely."

However, I definitely will not forget the day you came to me with 200 Yuan before October 1st this year. You happily said to me, "Mom, this is a contribution for truth clarification. This month the salary given to me was larger." Do you know how happy I was? Later due to the fact that you were a good worker, you had another wage raise. You said to me, "Mom, I will take out 50 Yuan every month for truth clarification."

'The government of Hong Kong's Special Administrative Region ignores the objection of most of its citizens and insists on implementing Article 23 into the National Security Bill...this will cost the government the loss of its honesty, the bankruptcy of its credibility, and the loss of the public's trust in them.'

On February 15, 2003, the 2003 Korean Falun Dafa Experiences Sharing Conference was successfully held in Taejon City. These conferences are used to bring practitioners together and to share experiences.

Bai Juyi, also known as Bai Letian, was a renowned poet during the period immediately following the peak period of the Tang Dynasty. He lived from 772 to 846 AD. The less educated people at that time could easily understand the language used in his poems, with their explicit themes. The poems flowed smoothly and his poetic style was so unique that it became a literary form commonly known as Yuan-Bai-Ti, or Fundamentally Plain Form.
