This event was an appeal to the good people of the UK to support the campaign to release practitioners Bao Lian Zhu and Yongjie Zhu who are illegally imprisoned in China. The event was a huge success and many signatures on a petition to free these practitioners were collected from the local community.

It would be a shame if the United States Government were not able to protect its own citizens. Therefore, I urge the United States Government to apply maximum pressure on the Chinese Authorities so as to enable Mr. Li´s immediate release and safe return to the United States. If Mr. Li is rescued the American people will benefit.

A practitioner heard from his friends that a German seminar would be held in Darmstadt City in central Germany. After some discussions, several practitioners decided to join the seminar in order to tell people about the benefits they have received from practising Falun Dafa.

"The Concern Group regrets the determination of the SAR Government to ignore the clear call for a White Bill and to commence the legislative process of Article 23 legislation without any proper public consultation on the precise language of the proposed legislation. The political and time constraints of the current legislative environment will mean that the public including the legal community will find it difficult if not impossible to effectively contribute towards the enactment of this most important piece of legislation."

"Any form of organisation that holds a critical attitude toward the government will be relentlessly suppressed. Other organisations, which comment on Tibet or Taiwan are also oppressed. We all know that Falun Gong is being cruelly persecuted in China. This indicates the seriousness of the persecution there."

The policemen started to torture Dafa practitioners there. One after another, practitioners were singled out and beaten mercilessly by five to nine thugs. It was a bloodbath! More than 20 practitioners suffered from the torture. The thugs shocked Liu Zhikun with electric batons so brutally that his whole body was covered with blisters. His chest, and arms were badly burned. The excruciating torment he endured is beyond description.

The labour camp adopts such cruel means to torture Dafa practitioners, yet they claim that what they do is for the good of practitioners. One of the prisoners who participated in the torture said, "It would be treated as an accident if I really beat you to death. I am still fine after beating seven or eight practitioners to death." Using abusive language, they threatened to beat Yuanlong to death.

A "solemn declaration" is a person's public statement declaring that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. As more and more people in China learn the truth about how they have been deceived and lied to by the Jiang regime, many people who don't practise Falun Gong are submitting "solemn declarations."

I had never spoken out in front of so many people before, so I did not pull out my banner right away. Time passed by quickly while I hesitated, trying to decide whether or not to raise my banner. When I looked at my watch, I saw that it was nearly noon. At that time, there were many tourists on the square. I thought to myself that I shouldn't miss such a good opportunity

My little cousin though, did not yield to this emotional blackmail and firmly answered, "I want Falun Dafa. I can't give up Falun Dafa for the reason of my friends. However, I don't believe I will lose my friends just because I practise Falun Dafa!" Just as she said, several days later, her classmates came up to play together with her. They folded paper together with her to make paper-cranes and even asked her for Falun Dafa books.

Senator Larry Pogemiller met with Falun Gong practitioners to discuss the rescue of a Falun Gong practitioner's mother, Chen Jingjiang. The Senator expressed that if he was to visit Wuhan City this summer, he would hand-deliver a letter to the leaders of Hubei Province.

Many people came over to the practitioners' stand to talk with us about the lawsuit against Jiang. Some Chinese still had a misunderstanding toward Falun Dafa due to Jiang regime's lies and slander, but the lawsuit against Jiang and the establishment of the International Organisation to Investigate the persecution of Falun Gong have greatly encouraged the deceived people to learn about the truth and speak up with courage.
