Before the final group performance, we expressed a hope that the spectators had enjoyed our presentation and that it had helped them feel the grace and peace of this traditional and spiritual meditation practice. On behalf of all Falun Gong practitioners everywhere, we wished them a Happy Chinese New Year and a bright and happy future!

One Chinese person who had been engaged in human rights work in the past, said from his heart, “I experienced a lot in my life. I have been in jail several times. And I have not wept like this for a long time. During the human rights conference in Geneva last year, when I saw so many Falun Gong practitioners sitting in meditation, I could not hold back my tears. What I really want to say is, ‘Falun Dafa is good!’”

The following story is true and every name is real. It is a story about a successful businesswoman who was illegally imprisoned for nine months in one of China’s most brutal labour camps – Wanjia. It is a story of beatings and torture, of survival and perseverance, and it is a testament to the power of her beliefs.

The literal meaning of "Germany" in Chinese is ‘the country with morality and justice’...When the Chinese dictator is persecuting innocent and kind-hearted people, the government of the country with morality should take the lead to speak up for the kind-hearted people.

The children had a lot of fun and an opportunity to study the Fa and do the exercises together on their own terms. They also made a painting with a Happy Chinese New Year Greeting to all children in China.

They made many threats to the practitioner's life, and claimed nobody would know anything even if they killed him. "Nobody in Hailun City knows you are here, and we asked about you at your work place and your family. Already, the police station, the linen factory and Department of Economics are looking for you." Chen Jingming also said to him, "You have never seen people thrown into a smelting pit, right?"

In December 2002, he was put on trial and sentenced to eighteen years' imprisonment. Such an unjust sentence! His act was most courageous and selfless. His wish was to broadcast the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution to the Chinese people and to break through the propaganda that has shamefully deceived them for almost four years.

Not wanting to get implicated, she brought her three-year-old daughter with her to initiate divorces papers. The "610 Office" in the Gangcheng District and the court visited Junsheng in detention centre in order to compel him to sign the divorce papers, but he refused. Nonetheless the court still went through with the divorce procedures without his consent.

With the instigation of the guards, several inmates wrapped him up with thick blankets and forced their weight down on him simultaneously. The inmates took turns beating him and used thick needles to stab his body because he refused to write the "repentance letter." He has more than one hundred excruciating needle punctures marks on his body from the torture. The prison guards didn't give him any food and didn't allow him to sleep for days.

In the end, the police told the prisoners, "None of you could change them, so from now on, you should not beat them any more." As time passed by, the prisoners in the cell were all touched by their great compassion and tolerance and never again restrained them from practising the exercises anymore. Just like this, Aunties Liu and Wang practised the exercises every day with dignity.

On his own, he has kept up with clarifying the truth in China. He clarified the truth to his friends and classmates. The teacher in charge of his class was very verbally abusive to him and even beat him, so he said with a calm assurance, "Falun Dafa teaches people to be good, and I have been learning Falun Gong for so many years." Xiao Gang wiped away his tears and did not give in.

I made some notes of a few simple and clear points to remind me. No matter what would happen, I would keep calm. I wanted to let the Chinese citizens realise that we were aware of what the Chinese government did to Falun Gong practitioners. We were making it clear that they should not assist in the persecution of innocent people.

One day I saw the girl (with whom my husband had had the affair) across a crowded shopping street and was overcome with compassion for her and for him. They seemed so lost in delusion but still trying to find a way out, albeit in a deviant way. I saw that all sentient beings are indeed suffering.

In the past three years, representatives of Macao's police department have been following practitioners, seriously violating Macao's laws and human rights. The surveillance is escalating. On February 8th 2003, while practitioners were practising the exercises, plainclothes police began videotaping them.

With the collective efforts of the Global Mission to Rescue Persecuted Falun Gong Practitioners and all Dafa practitioners around the world, Dafa practitioner Chen Ruichang in China, the former Deputy Chief of the Editor-in-Chief's Office at Guangdong Province TV Station, was released on January 15, 2003 after being illegally detained for two years.

On February 3 2003, New York Dafa practitioners held a Journey of Falun Dafa photo exhibition and a thank-you party in the New York State Capital. Twenty-five photos exhibited the grace and solemnness of Dafa, and some other photos showed the upright and selfless character of Dafa practitioners as they faced the persecution.

Clearly, we can not allow the People's Republic of China to mistreat a citizen of our nation. At this crucial juncture, it is absolutely essential that we send a clear statement to the Chinese government that the United States will not accept their blatant disregard for the rights of Falun Gong practitioners.

Wild ginseng is found in northeastern China. The remote Changbai Mountain in Jilin Province is especially well-known for growing wild ginseng roots that are hundreds or even thousands of years old.
