As Chinese people passed the display boards, they stopped to look at the photos and were surprised to see so many people practising Falun Gong in nearly 60 countries. They were also amazed to know that Falun Gong had won so many international awards and earned high acclaim in several Health Expos in China.

After the performance was over, some Chinese people stayed at the square. Upon seeing a practitioner, one of them stepped forward and said eagerly, “Please give me a VCD. I have been looking for this! Falun Gong is very good!” All of them listened to the practitioner attentively and asked questions. When the practitioner asked them why they stayed there after the performance was over, one of them said, “We are waiting to have a chat with you.”

"The freedom of the press is threatened; the business world has fears for the conditions that have made Hong Kong a foremost financial centre and channel of capital to China’s rapid development; the Catholics and other churches are apprehensive; and at the centre of the storm are the practitioners of Falun Gong, the peaceful and non-violent group that has become the victim for the most massive persecution in human history."

"Chinese people throughout the world are currently celebrating the Chinese New Year in the time-honoured fashion, with dancing displays, parades, and the customary culinary delights, which the Chinese nation is renowned for. However for the millions of Falun Gong practitioners in China, these New Year celebrations have been tainted with fear and trepidation, as they have been for the previous three years since the government began its brutal persecution of Falun Gong."

"I am totally opposed to the introduction of Article 23 legislation of the Basic Law of Hong Kong. I believe that this would violate the basic rights and freedoms which we value so much in this country and which are fundamental to any civilised society."

All of the detainees were terrified; their faces turned pale and their bodies were shaking, and even though the environment around them was noisy, people could still hear the sounds from the electric shocks and the screams from practitioners.

When my brother-in-law saw the shape of his wife as a result of the torture, he held my sister tightly and was choked with tears. Immediately he realised that the so-called "education and persuasion" proclaimed by the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp were nothing but lies intended to cover up their crimes.

If you had strong sentiments, they would make use of your family to attack you; if you were liked fame and money, they would threaten you with the government's power; if you were afraid of physical pain, they would use threats of pain and torture in the forced labour camp or the detention centre to coerce you; if you were not clear on the principles of Falun Gong, they would misinterpret Dafa to confuse you so as to shake your righteous belief.

They set up a special torture device in the form of a stretching bed in small cells where they shackled the four limbs of the practitioner, pulling them tightly in an outstretched position on the bed. An average person would not be able to endure the hours of suffering caused by this kind of torture.

As the persecution intensified, to protect his political career, this practitioner's father threatened to put his son in jail if he didn't give up his belief in Falun Gong. Having no choice, the practitioner left home and went on a very difficult journey to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to others, with only a few hundred Yuan in his pocket, a backpack full of truth-clarifying materials and a copy of Zhuan Falun.

Practitioners are withstanding the suffering silently. Please help them! Once they are detained, every one is inevitably sentenced to the forced labour camp or prison. Just for distributing flyers, they get sentences of one, two, or three years in a forced labour camp. It is a much harsher punishment than criminals receive.

I realized then that my ideas to push my activities into the foreground had been a huge attachment, to only work in my city, in my area, and to do it well. That notion was like a wall that had separated me from working together with others, prevented me from becoming part of the whole. It finally dawned on me that the others had waited for me to finally join them and become part of the whole...

"He was arrested on January 22, 2003..[and] then transferred ..to the Yangzhou Detention Center in Jiangsu Province. Two days later, Chinese authorities officially notified the U.S. consulate in Shanghai that Dr. Li will be charged with sabotaging telecommunications equipment...If found guilty, Dr. Li faces imprisonment up to fifteen years."

With practitioners standing quietly outside, Xiao Yang and his group did not dare to leave and delayed their departure time and again. They stayed at dinner for more than two hours. The practitioners didn't eat anything but stood quietly in the cold wind, holding banners and posters in their hands. In the end, the Chief and his crew couldn't delay any longer. Afraid of passing the banners if they exited through the front door, the group left the restaurant through the rear door of the kitchen...

On January 14, 2003, Falun Dafa Introductory Workshop was held in the Rotary International, Malaysia. Because of the success of the workshop, Rotary International presented a certificate to express their thanks for practitioners' introducing a "Powerful Ancient Practise To Improve Body, Mind and Spirit."

On the morning of February 1, 2003, the annual Chinese traditional cultural festival was held at Downtown San Diego...Dafa practitioners also participated and the event was quite successful.

Once upon a time, when God had seen how the people had turned away from their evil deeds, he changed his mind about the calamity he had prepared and kept the inevitable disaster from them.
