To celebrate the Chinese New Year, Chinese students attended an evening of music and dance at York University. Falun Dafa practitioners from Scotland and England also attended the performance in order to give the Chinese students the opportunity to learn about truth about Falun Gong and to expose to them the slanderous nature of all the media reports on Falun Gong in China.

In early October 2002, Dafa practitioner Wang Dawei was taken away from his home by police. Five days later, he was beaten to death. Shortly afterwards, two other practitioners, a woman in her 60's and a man in his 30's, were also beaten to death by police in Hu County. Since the police have been blocking the news tightly, we did not learn of the news until recently.

Mr Yu Tianyong, started practising Falun Gong in 1996. On January 1, 2001, police officers from the Taiping Police Branch illegally arrested him. He was sentanced for 10 years but became very sick while imprisoned and was released temporarily for medical treatment.ever, the police arrested him again and transferred him to Wanjia Forced Labour Camp Hospital, where he died in January 2003.

Ms Fu Guilan, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, started to practise Falun Gong in 1996. She was arrested and illegally detained for nine and half months after going to Beijing to appeal on July 20, 1999. The Nangang Station police arrested her in April of 2001. She was sentenced to two years in a forced labour camp. On May 5th of 2002, she was again abducted by police. She continued her hunger strike until she died on December 29, 2002.

Some practitioners lost teeth due to brutal beatings. Some had their arms broken by beatings and became disabled. Some police used plastic shoe soles to beat practitioners' faces and mouths, leaving shoe marks all over their faces. They did everything in their power to torture Dafa practitioners and try to break their will.

During an English lesson for 6th grade students at a primary school, the students were not well behaved and were very noisy. The female teacher at the lectern sternly told the students, "Everyone please sit down quietly, listen to the lesson seriously, and behave peacefully--just like a Falun Gong practitioner." This female teacher is not a Falun Gong practitioner but perhaps she has experienced the peace and goodness of Falun Gong's Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Although many fellow practitioners are still being persecuted and Falun Dafa is still being slandered, I truly believe the principle that evil can never overpower righteousness, because the origins of all living beings are from "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." Kindness is the nature of living beings. Truth and Righteousness can never be defeated.

George Smitherman, the first Member of Provincial Parliament who stood up to support Falun Gong, said that he would follow "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" as the guide of his life, and he was happy and hoped to attend more such activities. Member of Provincial Parliament Michael Prue said, "Besides congratulating the Chinese people on the year of sheep, I also come to express my support for Falun Gong practitioners, telling them the Canadian people are with them."

It would be of great support and benefit not only to this family but to the whole of the Falun Dafa community in China and across the world if the Australian Government were to show that it considers Falun Dafa not to be threat of any type against any government or organization or person.

One late night, Hua Tuo was reading some books under a light, when he suddenly heard a woman crying. He raised his head and saw a beautiful grieving woman in tears, in the hazy moonlight, outside the window. Hua Tuo was somewhat puzzled and went out to the front yard, but there was no one. On the spot where he had seen the woman he found a peony plant. The thought occurred to Hua Tuo that the woman was the Peony, but almost immediately he shook his head and laughed at his silly idea.
