Over one hundred VIPs were invited by the mayor of Athens to attend the exhibition. President of the famous Andrea Lendtakis Foundation and former vice mayor of Athens, Mrs. Eifi Lendtakis, said in her speech: “I had come to know some time ago about the persecution against Falun Gong in China. Today, I have had the chance to talk to Zhang Cuiying directly and this makes me even more determined to continue my work for human rights.”

'On January 31, 2002, he was secretly sentenced to a heavy term of seven years in prison without the presence of his attorney or family. He is currently imprisoned in a jail in Rangoon. The illegal imprisonment of Mr. Chan is actually the result of Jiang regime's pressure on Myanmar authorities.'

On the morning of January 10, 2003, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Qunying was summoned by police officers from Caidian District Police Substation of Wuhan Municipal Public Security Bureau to come to their office building. Shortly after, she "fell" from the seventh floor and passed away.

The callous Weishui Police Chief tortured her so badly that she remained unconscious for three days, lying on the cement floor..Officers from the Hongqi Street Police Station cruelly beat her to the point where she was beyond recognition. They transferred her to Yuqiang Police Station. The police had a hard time finding a detention centre that would take her because of her terrible condition.

This practitioner had so much to look forward to – the birth of the child she was carrying. Yet her persecutors shamelessly tortured her, harming her and her unborn child – with fatal consequences. The Jiang regime treats its citizens with brutality, who only wish to practise Falun Dafa in peace and live their lives according to Truthfulness – Compassion – Tolerance.

One policeman instructed a nurse to inject the practitioner with a large amount of drugs to make him sleep. Even then, they did not remove the torture instruments. To cover the practitioners' screaming and crying from the torture, the police always shut the doors and turn on the loud ventilating fans to cover up their crimes. They also use the loud noise as a way to torture practitioners who are on hunger strike.

Many people walked by and stopped to watch the slow and elegant movements, and almost everyone accepted a flyer. Many truth-clarifying VCDs in Portuguese, Spanish, English and Chinese were handed out together with the flyers, helping people to understand Falun Dafa and the brutal persecution in China.

The peaceful setting and tranquil activities attracted a good-sized group of westerners, who earnestly began learning the exercises. Some were quick to buy the Dafa books and video materials so that they would be ready to learn Falun Gong.

'The AFP news agency said the woman, whom it named as Nancy Chen, had called her mother early on Wednesday to say she had been kidnapped.'

'Falun Gong practitioners from Australia and other countries have frequently been detained in mainland China in recent years before being deported. They have complained of brutal treatment and beatings by police.'

Also, on the high voltage wire, there hung a huge banner with words, "Falun Dafa Is Good." All the people who went to the market saw the huge banner. Some person said, "How can they make that huge banner hang on such a high altitude electric wire? It's magic."

I looked around and saw many tourists in front of the Memorial. I walked to the tourists, pulled out the banner, and held it high above my head. I shouted twice, "Falun Dafa is good!" "Falun Dafa is the righteous Law!" "Clear the name of Falun Dafa and clear the name of our Teacher!"

We had only two days to prepare for the activity. In these two days, we had to sign up, prepare the information materials and the signboards, inform practitioners, write materials, and borrow different kinds of equipment. If we were lead by human notions in this period of time, it would have been completely impossible to have had a satisfactory result with such a rush. The process was in fact a process of continuously discarding human notions.

My understanding of the difference between cultivation in Fa-rectification and individual cultivation is that it is a question of whether one can position Dafa in the right place. Those practising individual cultivation put the improvement of their levels in a higher position than the Fa, so no matter how they practice cultivation, they cannot step out of “selfishness” even if they reach the standard of consummation.
