Groups of people watched the exercise demonstration and chatted with practitioners about Falun Gong and the persecution. Afterwards, many showed a great interest in Falun Gong and went directly to the library to borrow Falun Gong books.

"China has signed international agreements to uphold human rights, but now is the darkest period in China’s glorious 5000-year history. Human rights are non-existent as Jiang Zemin attempts to rule the country through terror and violence. Many millions of innocent people are suffering. I am very concerned for the safety of Li Xiaobing and Li Xiaomei...."

The police of Mudanjiang City force fed Dafa practitioners with mustard oil, one bottle per Dafa practitioner. Right after force-feeding, the police would cover practitioners' heads with plastic bags tightly. Unable to breathe, practitioner's lives were in grave danger. Falun Dafa practitioner Li Hongmin died as a result of this inhuman torture.

She looked dignified, upright and compassionate. In our simple conversation, she showed her steadfastness as a veteran practitioner. Listening to her talk in a sincere and forthright tone, I deeply felt her determination and maturity as a practitioner... this short talk we had became our unexpected farewell.

A responsible member of Lanzhou City's Political Consultative Committee was stripped of his position, arrested numerous times, detained and his wife forced to become homeless. Had he committed any crime? Had he become corrupt? Did he abuse his position? No - He aimed to live a virtuous life and to conduct himself according to a high moral standard, as the principles of Falun Dafa require. For this he was punished in a despicable way, and his family torn apart.

Practitioners have had their sense of security and belonging to their communities torn away. At any given time their homes can be invaded by lawless police, intent on doing malicious damage to their property, and inflicting pain and torture at will. They are persecuted in this way to try to force them to give up their innocent belief in Falun Dafa's principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance.

Japan Falun Gong practitioners were invited by the Twenty-First Century Japan and Korea Committee of Friendship and Peace to attend their first gathering for peace and friendship this year. The Secretary of the Committee said in his speech that he hoped to rescue Ms. Yoko Kaneko as soon as possible.

One practitioner held his court verdict and said, "I am sentenced to one year in forced labour camp. Since two months have passed already, I can go home in ten months." He also held the other practitioner's court verdict and said, "Take a look at yours. You are sentenced to three years in forced labour camp." The other practitioner said steadfastly, "I am not going to look at it, they have no right at all to sentence me to a forced labour camp...I truly believe that instead of three years I can go home in three days."

One day, my colleague, 'A', came to ask me for Falun Gong information to read, so I gave her some information including the "Minghui Digest" newsletter. The next day, I saw 'A' discussing the true facts of Falun Dafa with a few other people. Colleague 'B' took the materials for reading after listening to 'A'. When I went to her for the materials, I saw that she was telling a few other people about a touching story that was mentioned in the newsletter.
