Armed police kidnapped Wang Youcheng and held him in a detention centre. How could a person who practises Truthfulness – Compassion – Tolerance and believes in non-violence be a threat to anyone? What on earth does such a person who believes in being kind to everyone need to be detained for at all, let alone by armed police? He was tortured so badly that he did not come out alive. The shameless police have still not informed his family of his death.

On my legs are scars from when policemen kicked me with their leather boots. On my chest are scars from when the police and drug addicts' pinched and twisted me. One time, several of them simultaneously and ferociously hit me on my chest, on my back and on the back of my neck. During the family visit, the chief, guards, other prisoners -- over a dozen people --monitor the visit. Some practitioners have wounds on their bodies, so the despicable police require them to wear hats, gloves, etc., to hide the injuries.

Now this old couple is forced to face the prospect of never seeing each other again… Wang Sili asked the leader of the training centre with tears in his eyes, "Why should I suffer such terrible persecution just for being a good person?"

A Human Rights Watch World Report issued on Tuesday January 14th stated that in 2002 China is still moving to limit freedom of expression, censorship of news publications and is cracking down on dissidents.

Beginning on January 12 to January 14, in conjunction with the global appeal, Sydney Dafa practitioners held a series of activities in front of the Chinese Consulate for three consecutive days. The reason for the appeal is the increase in practitioners being murdered by Jiang's regime..

Upon learning from a Falun Dafa Website that since November 2002, 43 Falun Gong practitioners were reported to have been persecuted to death, practitioners from Vancouver and Seattle got together and participated in the three-day global appeal activity from January 12 to 14.

At that time, my younger sister, younger brother, friends, schoolmates, and neighbours all thought that it was too unbelievable that a person who had a stroke could completely recover in 20 days. It was simply a miracle. They asked me what had cured me. I told them frankly, "It is Falun Gong that saved me! [Falun Gong] gave me new life. I hope you also come to learn Falun Gong."

But let me ask you, what do you believe in? When I asked this question regarding belief of the children around me, their eyes clearly told me that they have no idea and are ignorant about this. Do you know, this kind of indifference for the meaning of life and the purpose of one’s existence and incorrect understanding is the cause of one's life feeling empty and devoid of meaning?
