Ex-Chancellor Mr Kenneth Clark expressed his doubts about the Hong Kong authority’s claims regarding the proposed proscription mechanism. He said, "The Hong Kong Secretary of State claims that the proposals are not aimed at particular groups, but we must all await the actual draft of the Bill's wording before we can rest assured on this immensely important part of it."

A teacher in Switzerland learned about Falun Gong and the persecution in China through a local practitioner. This teacher invited us to his class to present a report. This was his Christmas present to his grade 8 students. Everyone in the class, including the teacher and his friends, practised the exercises together.

He was kidnapped by Chinese officials and taken to the so-called "Law Education and Training Centre" in Hebei Province. The centre is nothing but a brainwashing centre in disguise. The centre used every way in order to forcibly brainwash him. Wang suffered four months of severe mental torture and anguish.. He frightened and panicked the authorities by clearly and succinctly exposing the lies broadcast by the programme.

In the detention centre, Liu Bangxiu was tied up so that his arms and legs were outstretched and then force-fed through a tube. The malicious authorities left the tube in him for an extended period of time, which led to the walls of his intestines sticking together….Every day an intravenous infusion maintains his life. Such a waste of a good man!

A female practitioner continued to practise Falun Gong after being kidnapped by the police and taken to the centre. Five or six policemen fiercely beat her up. Even the gate guards secretly admitted that those policemen were acting like beasts. She would not give up her belief in Falun Gong, so the police poured cold water on her in the freezing weather. At midnight, the police brutally tortured her and people often heard her horrible and painful screaming.

Later, the police made us watch propaganda videos defaming Dafa and tried to force us to write "thoughts after watching" articles to defame Dafa. Those who refused to write the articles were not allowed to sleep. When the policemen tried to force me to write one, I refused and said loudly, "The cultivation of Dafa is completely voluntary and is never forced, yet you try and force me to write articles that attack Dafa. Isn't it clear who is good and who is evil?"

'In July 1998, Zhang's superiors at the nursery school at which she was employed decided to have her declared mentally ill after a prolonged dispute regarding mainland China's child birth regulations, leading to her confinement to a mental hospital...During her period of confinement, Zhang said, she has met more than 30 other normal 'patients' who have been forced into the mental hospital.'

'Falun Gong's U.S.-based information center said in a statement eight other practitioners were recently given sentences of up to 13 years in prison for tapping into local television and radio signals in the eastern province of Anhui.'

You may ask, “Why isn’t a patient in an emergency situation sent to an emergency room, instead of to a Chinese medicine doctor who can only inspect the tongue and read the pulses? Does this not endanger the patient’s life?” People usually misunderstand that Chinese medicine is capable of only treating and curing chronic illnesses.

On the way back, the deputy kept asking me how I was able to leave the police station when all the doors were locked. I told him that a small police station is incapable of holding a Falun Dafa practitioner!

This person now knows the truth. After searching, he saw the deception and manipulation with his own eyes. Now he is taking a stand for justice and telling the truth he learnt...from his own heart, he is letting people know the truth.

“Mum, don’t yell like that. It’s not good to do that. If Dad is wrong, please tell him nicely. Yelling’s not ok.” I blinked and sensed that my son was right and this is what I had taught him before –tell someone nicely if he does something wrong. Do not get angry. Do not fight or we are also wrong. That is what I had learned from reading Teacher Li’s book.

Through talking with each other, practitioners can discover their own problems, some of which are XinXing [the nature of the mind or the heart, moral character] problems and some are things overlooked in work. When practitioners remind each other of their shortcomings, mistakes can be corrected in a timely manner and less unnecessary steps need to be taken.
