If we only look at a moment in history, often we feel the victim is too weak to oppose the persecutor. However, if we look at the entire history, we find that the victim often defeats the persecutor. The reason is that what determines the outcome of the battle is not the power, but which side gains the world's support. The Roman Empire was once very powerful; however, its persecution of Christians led to its destruction. Now Christianity is in prosperity. Hitler killed Jewish people, but now Nazis are despised everywhere and Jewish people are prospering.

After that, the employers at my company saw that I had a serious disease and sent me to recuperate at the Tanggangzi Clinic in Anshan, Liaoning province. In the third month of recovery, I returned home because of my heart disease. Soon after I arrived, I became paralyzed and could not lead a regular life by myself. My legs were swollen and bruised. If you pressed on the leg, at that point a depression would form. If water was poured into the depression, it would be absorbed.

The graphic make up and the mock-up torture devices of the anti-torture exhibition outside the Houses or Parliament on July 18th had a profound effect not only on the intended audience of tourists who passed by, but also on the participants. For Zek Halu, a Falun Gong practitioner from London, participating that day continued a process which had begun when he read the story of a Falun Gong practitioner who’s face was destroyed through seven hours of repeated shocks with electric batons

After these five years, people are surprised to see that Falun Gong has tenaciously survived the most barbaric, most vicious and most over-powering persecution in the history of human civilisation. Falun Gong practitioners never did anything wrong; not only that - Falun Gong is widely practised in China and in many other parts around the world. This is the only civilian organisation that the CCP hasn't been able to destroy in all of its political movements.

The hiring of murderers by the Jiang-Zeng clique in South Africa may be related to silencing the international community and exploiting the weaknesses in a country's internal affairs. Those countries that fall prey to the Jiang regime's economic handouts and lies, so as to avoid human rights condemnation, those countries that don't speak out for human rights, are in fact indirectly perpetrating further these evil actions.

On July 20, 1999, Jiang Zemin launched the persecution of Falun Gong out of personal jealousy and envy. The persecution has lasted five years so far, and Falun Gong practitioners' anti-persecution efforts have also lasted five years. For others, five years may not be a very long time, but for people who constantly suffer as a result of such persecution, five years is a very long time.

The Constitution maintains that citizens have the right to appeal. The number of people appealing does not change the legitimacy of the appeal. In addition, Falun Gong practitioners went to Beijing to appeal because the matter could not be solved in Tianjin, and the State Council in Beijing is the direct supervisor of the Tianjin government. Therefore, the Falun Gong practitioners' appeal was a not one that skipped levels in between.

Inside China's forced labour camps, people sentenced to forced labour are not allowed to learn Falun Dafa, lest they face heavy punishment. However, quite a number of these people are taking up cultivation practice without any fear after they learn the truth about Falun Dafa.

During some international large-scale activities, I met a wheelchair-using practitioner from Northern Europe many times. I imagined how difficult it was for her to participate in these activities. Last May I was happy to see her again in the famous Stephen Square in Vienna, while she was practising Falun Gong exercises in her wheelchair along with other Dafa practitioners. I managed to talk to her and asked her some questions.

July the 20th 1999 was a shameful day for mankind, because on this day Jiang Zemin began persecuting Falun Gong. From that day on, Jiang's villainous group began a thorough, public and cruel persecution of Falun Gong and Falun Gong practitioners. Overnight, 100 million Falun Gong practitioners were deprived of their basic human rights. This persecution has now lasted five years.

"The persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999. It has now been going on for five years. Looking back, this period of time passed in just a blink of an eye. It feels like July 20th, 1999 was just yesterday. I have such a feeling because in the past five years we Falun Gong practitioners have been persistently doing one thing: following "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance", resisting the persecution and explaining the facts to people."

Since it was introduced to the public in 1992, Falun Dafa has been like a clear mountain spring washing away the mud and dirt it encounters along Its way. It has enabled tens of millions of people to regain their health, to recover from stubborn illnesses. More importantly, Falun Dafa practitioners have been conducting and cultivating themselves according to Falun Dafa’s cultivation principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

On the third day, Li left her bed and walked to the living room. She lit three sticks of incense to thank Teacher. When her neighbours heard about this, they all came to see this miracle for themselves and were truly amazed; some commented, "Falun Gong is unbelievable. It can revive people from their deathbed."

For Falun Gong practitioners who have endured brutal torture and cruel mistreatment, the past five years have been very significant.

Since Falun Gong practitioners filed lawsuits overseas against those high ranking CCP officials who have been actively involved in persecuting Falun Gong, whether one has been sued overseas has become a major issue among high ranking officials of the CCP. Also, the fact that those officials have been sued or are being sued while visiting abroad has deeply upset the CCP's top leaders.

Before I started to practice Falun Dafa I was illiterate, now I can read the whole of Zhuan Falun. I write down the few new words I came across on a piece of paper and ask my children the meaning later. I can also recite Master's Hong Yin [A Collection of Poems] and all the new articles. It's the compassionate and great Master who gave me a second life, still Jiang's followers have told many lies to deceive everyday people, poisoning the minds of living beings and persecuting good people.

What does it tell us when the most powerful state machine and most brutal torture methods couldn't change a group's belief? We can imagine, during those excruciating 7 hours, Gao Rongrong spent every second in excruciating pain throughout her body, spirit, and heart. We may ask what helped her to defeat the agony, intimidation, desperation, and humiliation.

Throughout history, the official system designed to change people's way of thinking by force has been unprecedented. No matter how awful some governments have been, most have never done something as evil as creating a system to forcibly change citizens' ways of thinking. But the Chinese Communist government has done that. They created a complete institution to forcibly change people's beliefs. That is, "Re-Education through Labour."

Just thinking about the discomfort I went through then makes me fearful. After the chemotherapy treatment, I developed a high fever that would not return to normal, causing a lot of bad reactions, such as pneumonia, headaches, and bleeding from my ears and nose. I was treated from morning until 10:00 p.m., but still my high fever did not recede. My mother was so anxious that she wanted to throw herself from a building.

A policeman leaning against the door began teasing them, saying, "Move! Move! We'll see how long you can cross your legs!" Suddenly, there was a metallic rattling noise as the handcuffs of one of the elderly practitioners sprung open. Just then, another practitioner's handcuffs also opened. Practitioner "H" thought, "My handcuffs should open too." As soon as she had this thought, her handcuffs immediately opened as well.

The practitioner described the Chinese person’s behaviour to us afterward. After some discussion, we realised that this was the Consul of the Embassy in Edinburgh. As he often comes and goes by car, we seldom see him. We were all shocked by his behavior, how could this kind of person be sent abroad as a diplomat?

These killings are different from shooting someone with a gun (although guns have been used against practitioners). Most of the deaths are as a result of torture behind closed doors. Although torture may be different than outright killing, its cruel murderous nature is the same. The hidden torture deaths are more brutal since they make the victims suffer longer and endure more pain. If the international community can give more support, it will bring Jiang to justice earlier and stop this persecution sooner. Let us work together even more. Helping kind people is also helping ourselves.

I was deeply shocked after hearing the news on June the 28th of Australian practitioner David Liang being shot in South Africa, and that the heel bones in his right foot were shattered. I kept seeing David's face in my mind. Knowing David, I can tell you that he is a kind-hearted and upright person. Seeing the photos of his blood-stained feet, taken while in the hospital, I thought of his two young children and aged parents, especially his mother who is confined to bed and needs constant care. All his family depend on his income as a taxi driver.

“Falun Gong gives you more inner peace, It helps you let go of the concepts which are blocking you. I have learned not to be so critical of myself. And also before I had no specific reason for making music, except that it was fun, of course. I now have more reason. I have something to write with an important message. I try to write things that are in line with what I practise, with what I realise and what I have enlightened to in the practise of Falun Gong. What I have learned. About life. Also about the persecution.”

An evaluation of the shooting incident on the night of June 28 in South Africa shows that there were five Falun Gong practitioners in the vehicle, yet only the driver, David Liang, was wounded in both legs and the car was damaged. There are some people who apparently do not take exception to an incident like this. In fact, if the details were to be carefully considered, one would see after calm and sober deliberation, the sinister and shocking nature of this crime.

He told me the following things. "I know what the TV said is all false. It is so obvious that the "Tiananmen immolation incident" is staged. I have been an assistant director in the "610 Office"(1) for two years and I know very well that those who practice Falun Gong are all good people. One time we brought thirty practitioners back from Beijing. No one said anything bad about Falun Gong. There are three bureau chiefs in our county who practice Falun Gong.

David Liang is an Australian citizen who has never been to South Africa before, so it is impossible that he has any personal enemy in South Africa. It is evident that the gunmen’s motivation was not robbery either; otherwise, they wouldn’t have fled from the scene without trying to take anything from these Falun Gong practitioners. Third, David Liang, the only man who was gunned down in this shooting spree, was also the only man who wore a jacket with a Falun Dafa insignia.

Could it be my good friend I had come to know I was reading about? I opened my eyes widely and read on. It was then that I learned her full name, He Xiuling, and the sad news of her death on March 11, 2004. Another kindhearted person was now dead as a result of persecution at the hands of Chinese police officers. There was no one nearby when she died, and she didn't even have on any clothes. Instead, she wore a handcuff on one of her hands that locked her to the sickbed and a bandage wound around her waist.

In the Tiananmen self-immolation incident, before police had even begun to investigate the case, Xinhua News Agency immediately claimed that Falun Gong practitioners were involved. In the South Africa assassination attempt, before the South African police had even begun an investigation, a Chinese Embassy spokesperson in South Africa issued a statement and asserted "the Chinese government has nothing to do with the incident."

I read a book that described all sorts of execution methods used throughout the world's history, many of which are pretty horrifying. Most victims of these brutal killings have been innocent religious believers. These execution methods and those people of faith who conquered their fear of death make me think of Falun Dafa practitioners today. Maybe their experiences are not as visibly horrifying as the scenes of early Christians being fed to lions, but the amount of their suffering is actually greater.

Jiang Yan told me seriously, “In China, thousands of Falun Gong practitioners were illegally arrested, sent to forced labour camps and tortured brutally. A lot of them have already been tortured to death. Falun Gong taught people to be truthful, compassionate and tolerant at all times. The Chinese government should not persecute these good people.

These are the first gunshots fired at overseas Falun Gong practitioners by Jiang's followers, who have been using all possible means in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Looking at what has been happening in mainland China, one will find that shooting freely has been one of the many ways the Jiang regime has been persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. This incident in South Africa is most likely just an extension of the Jiang group's state sponsored terrorism to overseas countries.

I was born in Beijing. I originally lived in Picai Lane in Xidan, Beijing, but in 1958 my family moved to Shenyang, Liaoning Province. I remember once, when I was very young, that one time my father was very upset. My mother told me that my father's second eldest brother died of esophageal cancer. That was 1962. From that point on, I became more and more acquainted with this horrible disease - cancer.

Jiang Zemin's head political butler and most trusted minion Zeng Qinghong did everything possible to please Jiang Zemin in order to become a member of the Politburo's Standing Committee and gain more power. He played a large role in the planning and executing the persecution against Falun Gong in order to advance his political career. He became a main accomplice for Jiang's persecution of Falun Gong.

Since Jiang's regime started the persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, the "610 Office" increased it's surveillance of Professor Wang, who is a Falun Gong practitioner. The methods they used to monitor him included internal control, monitoring his residence, confining him in a detention centre, and sending to him to a forced labour camp.

Jiang's rule is based on terror. During the past five years of persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, Jiang and his followers, including Zeng Qinghong and Bo Xilai, have abused the law and manipulated various government departments in order to brutally persecute Falun Gong practitioners. As of today, 996 practitioners are verified to have died of torture and other acts of persecution. Over 100,000 people have been sent to forced labour camps, and thousands sent to mental hospitals to be injected with drugs that damage the central nervous system

I am now 63 years old. I once suffered from esophageal and gastric cancer. I was a fruit merchant. I dealt with money the whole day and was addicted to doing business. Although Falun Gong practitioners often sent me Dafa truth-clarifying materials, my karmic relationship was not mature yet. I was not able to recognise that there is a profound Great Law...

It turned out that there was a tumour in my oesophagus, and a black scar in my stomach. My cancers were already in the late stage and an operation would not help, but my children wanted to give their best attempt to save my life. They went to the surgery department to discuss my case with the director, Yang. Yang responded: "That would be a major operation. We will need to ask a professor from Tongji Medical University to do it."

She helped her daughter-in-law take care of her three-year-old grandson without feeling tired. After a year, most of the fistulas disappeared and Sun Fengqing completely recovered. When she went back to her hometown, her neighbours were startled saying, "Aren't you... you are well now?"

She told people how good Falun Gong is, and told them that "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance" is the Buddha Law. She put Dafa materials in the store to let customers read and they would talk about them in the store sometimes. Some people told her, "We believe that your store is a good place to publicise Falun Gong. You are performing a good deed."

She asked for the phone and said, "I have to thank you both!" Then my wife said, "If you want to thank someone, thank Master Li and Dafa!" She replied, "Since you left last time, I started to recite 'Falun Dafa is good', and my husband has done the same. We also read a few Dafa books. Our illnesses are much better now. In the past, we spent all the money our children gave us on medicine and did not have money to buy meat or fish. Now I enjoy good food and I can rest well. I don't need to take all that medicine any more. Falun Dafa is really good."

The editor told this friend who practises Falun Gong, "I have experienced this before. During the Cultural Revolution, good people were made to accept forced labour that attempted to "reform" them. The present situation is actually very bleak, yet they claimed it to be 'the best of times.' They label good people who practice Falun Gong as bad people. This is just like the Cultural Revolution era! This will not last for long. Falun Gong's reputation will eventually be restored."

When it was dinner-time, my dad held me up and sat behind me to support me so I would not fall down. Although I didn't need anybody to feed me, I was just barely able to put the food into my mouth. At that time, I was taking a lot of medicine. Nothing could help me, and my condition was becoming increasingly worse. I had to take a lot of painkillers to ease the pain. Because of the side effects of the medicine, I was in a nearly comatose condition most of the time. I almost forgot who I was.

We introduced the great benefits of Falun Dafa to our relatives and sent them truth clarification materials about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. We thus helped them know that Falun Gong practitioners are all striving to be good people, to be considerate of others in every way they can, to be selfless, altruistic and to assimilate to the standards of the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Our relatives gradually got to know about Falun Dafa and they all support Dafa.

I used a louder voice and chatted lively with her about the persecution of Falun Gong. After a short while, I heard many sighs from behind me. When I turned around I saw many pairs of eyes gazing over their cubicle walls. They were all looking at me. Because a pillar was in the way, a new colleague even got out of his cubicle and was leaning on the cubicle wall listening intently. As he saw me looking at him he said at once, "Don't worry, I am not going to report you. I just want to hear about it." I replied, "I am not worried. Our workplace doesn't have such a tradition. We are all good people!"

People automatically went to practitioner's homes seeking information on the truth Falun Gong and some even started to practice Falun Dafa. This atmosphere also encouraged local Falun Dafa practitioners. More and more practitioners have been able to put away self-interest and go out into the community to clarify the truth, saving sentient beings. Practitioners cooperated together to form one harmonious indestructible body. This also influenced and encouraged fellow practitioners in the surrounding area.

All the major US newspapers published pictures of the US soldiers' abuse of the Iraqi prisoners. Does Jiang's group dare to publish in Chinese newspapers the bloody pictures of Falun Gong practitioners who have been tortured? During the nearly five years of this persecution, some western reporters have taken pictures of Chinese policemen cruelly persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. They have been arrested and had their film confiscated. This kind of thing happens all the time!

White Dove is a very pretty and adorable little girl. Her whole family was persecuted severely by Jiang's regime because they had the courage to step out and validate Dafa under any circumstance. After her father was illegally sent to a labour camp, a police officer from the local precinct would follow and harass her every day even though she was only an eight year old first grader at the time. The policeman was trying to pressure her to disclose her mother's whereabouts so that he could arrest her too, and soon, her school also began to pressure her.

We dared not take any flyers. If we had not gone abroad, we would not have known that Falun Gong is so popular overseas." I asked him, "Why not take any Falun Gong flyers?" He said, "All governors who are going abroad have to receive training. We are told that one has to stick to the rules in order to go overseas. One of the rules is that whenever you see Falun Gong flyers, you should never read, spread, listen to, or believe them. Even though I want to know more about Falun Gong, I dare not risk my title and my future."

He came across Falun Gong through an acquaintance, and this was the second time he had attended Teacher's lectures. The whole family went up on to the stage to present Teacher with the banner. As soon as he got on to the stage, he cried out excitedly, "Gone, gone, all my sicknesses are gone!" Loud applause came from the audience. The man then gave a self-introduction. After the introduction, the banner was presented and photographs were taken. And then, there was another big round of applause from the audience.
