My classmate's father is a senior police officer. Once he learnt that I had once again been taken to the detention centre simply for practising Falun Gong, he tried everything to help rescue me. After I was released, I learnt that after I was transferred to the detention centre, he was the one who coordinated the effort resulting in my unconditional release.

Over the last five years, she has been witnessing the noble deeds of the Falun Gong practitioners around her. She has also seen her mother regain her health to the extent that she could take care of her father, who has lost the ability to take care of himself. The relationships within the family are very good and in harmony. The family's lifestyle is admired by the people in her village. The lady's right thinking interpreted these fortunes and blessings, given to her by Falun Dafa.

However, no matter whether it is called the 6-10 or "Guard Office," the title cannot cover up its crimes. The "secret" notice from the "Guard Office" in Gaocheng City, Hebei Province reveals that the CCP has not changed. The so-called "influence of education" is still actually evil mental torture of innocent people, the secret and brutal physical persecution and torture of genuine believers, as well as the impudent and shameless deceit forced on the entire population of China.

Eight out of ten families practise Falun Gong in a small village in Hebei Province. From the little children to the elderly, everyone knows that Falun Gong is great. One villager used to be well-known for drinking, gambling, beating his wife, and other bad habits. After he started practising Falun Gong, he changed completely. His wife told others, "I would rather go to prison with him than have him quit practising Falun Gong!"

The photo to the left was taken on January 1st, 1999 at Laixi City's Stadium in Shandong Province. Laixi is a small city, but the group practice that consisted of thousands of people was so spectacular that many people were attracted to watch and many more began to learn the Falun Gong exercises on the spot.

After the persecution began, many cases were reported in which husbands would beat or even murder their wives who practised Falun Gong, so afraid were they of being implicated in the anti-Falun Gong campaign. Young adults, breadwinners and even children were thrown out of houses and asked, "never to return" by parents who listened to the CCP's poison and hated Falun Gong. Family members would assist the CCP's persecution of their loved ones who practised Falun Gong.

From the very beginning, I have supported Falun Gong. It is not because of my sympathy. Rather, I look at it from the perspectives of humanity and human rights. What I am talking about are the perspectives of the non-practitioners. It is likely that these perspectives cannot touch Falun Gong students deeply, but you need to know that many non-practitioners support you. They may be silent, but there are principles and justice in their hearts.

"Light the Lamp of the Heart" really moved me. I think your compassion and forbearance are respectable, just like that described in this book. The Falun Dafa practitioners described in the book have done so well by following" Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." In my life, all that I have seen and heard claimed that Falun Dafa was not good. At that time, I doubted these claims. After reading this book, I have become clear just how evil the Jiang regime is, and I also see Falun Dafa practitioners' compassionate hearts.

The couple left home and set up a Falun Dafa materials production site, and are currently providing materials to practitioners in nine nearby townships. They buy the raw materials, and then print, bind and send the finished products to designated places. They discuss and exchange understandings and experiences with practitioners in these townships every week.

Greetings to Falun Dafa practitioners guided by great Master! Though I am not a practitioner, I always side with you! I witness you living in happiness after sacrificing everything to save people. From you, I have learned what selflessness and magnificence are. It is not true that you don't care about your families, as the evil claims. In fact, you are caring for all the sentient beings in the world. It's not true that you have no pursuit as they said--you are holding to the most sacred belief for human beings. "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" is a banner in your heart.

Recently, secret verbal orders were issued by the 610 Office (an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems) stipulating that the police, procuratorate and court organisations at all levels may not accept any charges, appeals or lawsuits brought by Falun Gong practitioners. This secret document supersedes existing laws and blatantly contradicts the Constitution.

The two policemen took out several sets of handcuffs and asked us to put our hands in them. One fellow practitioner told them, "We are Falun Dafa practitioners. We are persecuted, not criminals. Please take away your handcuffs." The two policemen nodded with a smile without saying anything. Then they put the handcuffs on the drug addict prisoners. One of the prisoners shouted at the policemen, "Why didn't you handcuff them?" The policemen said, "They are different from you."

In fact, many of people who have made great contributions to the development of human science were religious people. For example, Isaac Newton, the founder of modern physical science, was a very religious person. Albert Einstein, who proposed the theory of relativity, had a deep and unique understanding of religion and God. Some politicians, government-supported atheist scientists and "popular science writers" in China say that religious beliefs are superstition. However, they cannot explain why these outstanding scientists were very religious.

Many people feel that they are living in a desert of human relationships and it is a bitter experience. After reading the “Nine Commentaries” from The Epoch Times, I discovered that the attitude of a tooth for a tooth was a deliberate poisoning of our minds by the Chinese Communist Party. It led to being extremely calculating and giving rise to the development of enmity and hatred for others. It poisoned our hearts and spirits and was equivalent of making us swallow bitter fruit.

The mother then asked her husband, a senior engineer, if he could eat up the leftovers of mine. The husband also agreed. I felt ill at ease about it and tried to take back the leftovers. The three practitioners and my mother said, “Don’t worry. Falun Gong practitioners just don’t want to waste food. Our respectful teacher, Master Li, has also taken the leftover of practitioners in some occasions.” This was the first event that moved me on the trip.

Lord Moyne and Sue were a couple. We called Lord Moyne by the name of Johnson, which is his real name, Moyne being the title conferred on him or possibly inherited. When they came to Dublin, they would often stay at where we lived and eat what we ate, and were very easy-going. Lord Moyne practised Yoga. As a man of over 70 years old he could still do a handstand. He mastered four languages, both spoken and written; his other languages were also very good.

He was no longer the happy-go-lucky person. The trees were cut and the grass and flowers were pulled because they were considered signs of capitalism and had to be eradicated. He fell into a deep sorrow over the plants and trees that he had so lovingly cared for over the years. His crippled leg worsened and he frequently wandered on campus like a lost child. One day, he secretly tried to plant a few bunches of crape myrtle on campus. The Red Guards found out, pulled the plants, and beat him. The suffering was too much for him and he fell ill. He struggled for a couple of days in his small dark room, and then left this world in sorrow.

Several Falun Dafa practitioners have learnt that the government of China has threatened Chinese tourists travelling overseas. The travel agencies that organised such trips were also intimidated. Threats of imprisonment were declared for persons accepting any materials from Falun Gong practitioners during their travels.

In his open letter, Mr. Gao reveals that, in dealing with Falun Gong practitioners, "The attitude of law enforcement in China is to view the law to be as worthless as a pair of worn-out shoes." What they are doing is against the law, but yet they are doing it in the name of the law. The whole legal system, according to Mr. Gao, "Has become numb toward the law, human nature, and human dignity. They are completely irresponsible and deal with everything randomly."

Xu Guangchun was one of those high-ranking officials. The amount of money involved was astounding. After the exposure of his crime, Xu displayed increased loyalty and flattery toward Jiang, even removing money from a special fund with the help of Zeng Qinghuai in order to promote a certain female singer, known to be favoured by Jiang. As a result, Xu was able to avoid legal punishment with Jiang's protection, and maintained his official title.

I read a report entitled "Falun Gong Concocted 30 Tortures, Fabricated Lies and Invented Fake Photos to Vilify the Government by Accusing It of Persecuting Falun Dafa Practitioners" on the news page of the Chinese Business View. Reading this report, I felt a surge of emotion, as memories of both my own torture and those suffered by other Falun Gong practitioners I have known leapt into my mind. In order to help my fellow countrymen and other kind readers make clear distinctions between right and wrong, and to safeguard your legal right to know the truth, I couldn't help but take up my pen to write a brief account of my own experiences with words found deep in my heart.

It was an unforgettable meeting. I was called out to meet some visitors at around 10 a.m. that morning and was surprised when I saw the students' faces on the TV monitor. They began to cry as soon as they saw me. I could not control my tears either when I saw their crying faces. We were only allowed to communicate in writing. Seeing me in my prison uniform with an unshaven face and having lost weight, the student who was writing cried harder and had to let another student take over. They expressed their condolences one after another.

According to his requirement, I took him home and mentally prepared myself for being cursed at by his family members, and to make compensation for all his losses. Unexpectedly, when we got to his home, his family members not only didn't beat or curse me but also didn't ask for any compensation. They even treated me politely. I was surprised that there are still such high level, kind, and nice people in today's society.

At the beginning of the persecution, many Falun Gong practitioners, including me, thought that the reason for the persecution was simply because some individual leaders didn't understand Falun Gong, and that as long as we made it clear to them what Falun Gong was, the persecution would just stop. This unrealistic way of thinking was the result of the fact that although we were in China, we did not have a clear understanding about China's "general condition."

Since practising and cultivating Falun Gong, this man has never smoked again and remains in good health without requiring any pills or injections. Although he is over eighty years old, this gentleman's eyes are clear, his hearing is good and he walks as if full of energy.

The labour camp cemented ten rows of handcuffs to the ground, which were used to persecute Falun Gong practitioners on a large scale from 2002 to 2003. They still keep the ground handcuffs inside a one-story house right now in order to persecute practitioners and they have hired criminals Chang Jinliang and Fang Bao to maintain it. In addition, Fang Bao also privately raised five to six ferocious dogs. The dogs have already bitten and hurt many people, but the Labour Camp still sends detainees to feed them.

Since July 20th, 1999, the CCP has used radio, TV, and cable network to spread its slanderous propaganda about Falun Gong to every household. The broadcasting network has become a tool of the CCP to spread lies to poison sentient beings. When practitioners tapped into nationwide cable TV networks to broadcast the truth about Falun Gong in 2002, government officials were seriously panicked. They issued orders at every level, from provinces to cities, districts and streets to implement every possible means to prevent the broadcasting network from being tapped.

When more and more people have seen through the lies of the Chinese Communist Party, they will no longer willingly participate in and perpetuate the persecution. Then even fewer people will be deceived by the actors in the staged self-immolation incident. Since the Chinese Communist Party is so adept at deception, it, too, has become deluded by its own lies and fiercely maintains them.

Recently I read Thoughts and Moral Education (tenth volume), an elementary school textbook which was printed in November 2003 for the third time. There is one chapter, chapter six, that uses the staged Tiananmen "self-immolation" incident specifically to slander Falun Gong. It also uses the words of twelve-year-old Liu Siying, who was burned in the incident and who later died under mysterious circumstances, to incite children's hatred and fear of Falun Gong.

As a former leukaemia patient, I was given a second life because of Falun Dafa. It was Teacher Li who saved my life when I was on the verge of death, made me a healthy person again, and taught me how to become a person with great morality. "Today I can't betray Falun Dafa just because you attempt to place me under pressure," I thought. "Doesn't CCTV educate people to be honest? Do you want me to tell the truth, or to lie?" I asked. "Tell the truth, of course," both the reporters and my bosses answered. "Good. You're asking me to tell the truth. Now I want to tell you 'Falun Dafa is good', do you dare to videotape it and broadcast it to the whole country?"

The boss at one of the family's workplace is also a practitioner. Thanks to the boss' tireless efforts outlining why the persecution against Falun Gong is fundamentally wrong whilst also extolling the benefits of Falun Dafa, one of his employees realised the truth and began to practise Falun Dafa. Then, this person went home and passed on Falun Dafa to the parents, brothers, and sisters.

Ten years of Cultural Revolution completely destroyed traditional Chinese culture, and the society was turned upside down. The economy was completely paralysed. Although we were still shouting slogans, we knew in our hearts that we were heading toward inevitable destruction. The whole country resembled a desert and a war zone. More than 20 years of life experiences helped me see the true nature of the CCP, and I began to think about the meaning of life.

For a long time, leaders in autocratic governments could abuse their power at will and get away with murder. However, the arm of the law will bring them back into the reach of justice. In recent years, the United States government has promulgated a series of laws that effectively frighten those that carry out persecution of innocent people when these perpetrators come to the United States, they are charged with breaking moral and legal laws as set forth by the civilised world.

My mother started practising Falun Gong in 1996. At first I thought that Falun Gong was just a qigong exercise that helps one to get rid of illness and maintain health. But after my mother studied the books and did the exercises for some time, I found out that Falun Gong is a form of high-level cultivation that teaches one to be compassionate and strive towards being a good person.

This is why they stand there in Grönsakstorget in Gothenburg, far away from China. But the distance is reduced, as one stands here outside the Chinese Consulate. Today the number of people present is unusually large because it is the memorial day of the Holocaust that occurred during the Second World War. During such a day there are many people who express words such as “the Holocaust shall never happen again”. Many people talk about this, yet one question remains: who is making sure that such a thing shall never occur again. So far, the practitioners of Falun Gong have not seen anyone take the responsibility. Thus, they have taken action themselves.

The Chinese student attending the judiciary examinations answered: “Falun Gong is a kind of spiritual belief. It’s an exercise that benefits both people’s mind and body. Only in China, the Chinese government regards it as cult. Incredibly even in France news reports mention it each time as a cult as well. But according to what I’ve learned from the behaviour of various activities of the people that I know, there is no evidence whatsoever to support the claim that it is a cult or a religion. I don’t understand why that is so.”

The reason the labour camps and prisons are so wicked in killing the steadfast practitioners is because they follow the former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin and his regime's order: "'Transform,' if not, 'cremate' (torture to death)." They aim to eliminate those who practise Falun Dafa. Another reason is because they are afraid that steadfast practitioners can leave the camps alive and expose their vicious crimes. Hence, they want to kill the practitioners in the labour camp, or torture the practitioners until they can no longer survive or speak their thoughts. Then they inform the practitioner's family members and let them die in their homes.

The truth and the circumstances surrounding the Falun Gong plaintiffs in the first lawsuit brought against Jiang Zemin have been revealed after over four years. As reported by a Falun Gong website on January 3rd, 2005, two Falun Gong practitioners sent out their appeal in August of 2000 to the highest Procuratorate of the People's Republic of China in Beijing to sue Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, and Zeng Qinghong for illegally banning and suppressing Falun Gong.

In order to clarify the facts, Falun Gong practitioners living in Shijiazhuang City called the Yanzhao Evening Post editorial office and asked to speak to Su Shan and Li Ming. The person that answered the phone claimed, "The newspaper office does not have any contact information for these two people." When the practitioners asked whether the article had been investigated and its authenticity verified, the person replied, "These articles are not ours. The provincial 6-10 Office arranged to have a full page for their own publications." The newspaper office staff was polite but powerless.

After the rape of Wei Xingyan was exposed, people around the world paid enormous attention to this case. The 6-10 Office and Chongqing University sealed off all documents about Wei Xingyan and related information about the case. The 6-10 Office also ordered the university to claim that there was no such student named Wei Xingyan and that there was no such major of High Voltage Direct Current Transmission and Simulation Technology. They even removed information about Wei's department from the university website.

Zhao Zhizhen was the head of Wuhan TV Broadcast Station. At that time, the public security department asked the head of Wuhan TV Broadcast Station and reporter Song to make TV programs critical of Falun Gong and to defame Falun Gong's founder Mr. Li Hongzhi. Therefore, making this TV program was based neither on freedom of speech nor on the freedom of the press. It was carried out as part of the plan to persecute Falun Gong and based on the needs of the political persecution.

The police chief nodded in agreement, and borrowed a book containing the core teachings of Falun Gong, Zhuan Falun and another book, The Great Consummation Way of Falun Dafa from the practitioner. One week later, the two met again. This time the police chief had a rosy complexion and was in very good spirits. He told the practitioner happily, "Teacher Li is taking care of me. I just studied the Fa (law or principle, the teachings in Falun Gong) for several days, and the illnesses that had haunted me for years all disappeared. Falun Dafa is so miraculous! It's so good!"

During the nine-hour flight from Europe to New York, I had the chance to tell the people sitting on both sides of me about the persecution of Falun Gong. One of them agreed that even from a Christian perspective, every human action provokes a good or bad reaction (retribution) in life and wished me luck and success. He also admired the practitioners who volunteer weeks and months of their time, to explain the truth about the persecution in New York.

Those who are familiar with the Chinese Communist Parties history, from its inception to its taking power, know that the CCP considers itself the master of history. It follows the dictatorship philosophy that "whoever goes along with me prospers, and whoever goes against me perishes." Because of this characteristic, the CCP not only cannot tolerate any opponents who want to replace it, but also cannot tolerate any different kinds of thinking or any independent groups, either outside or inside the CCP.

One businessman from China whispered to a Falun Dafa practitioner, “A policeman in my district wanted me to pass on a message to you: Please can Falun Gong practitioners outside China be more careful when contacting practitioners inside China. Last time, one of your practitioners from a city in central Europe entrusted someone to pass on money to a practitioner in our district. When this practitioner got the money the police arrested him, causing unnecessary persecution to a local practitioner. I hope you will take more care in future!”

Why does Zhao Zhizhen try to pose as a protector of science? This is because science has already become the mainstream thought in modern society, and has absolute authority. To pose as a protector of science, 1) there is no risk, 2) he can obtain support from others, and 3) he can claim this accusation is against the whole scientific community, instead of just against him, so that the whole scientific community will share this hatred and fight with him. But the accusation against him is exactly due to his instigation of hatred, which is totally against the spirit of science.

In China secret orders about Falun Gong have been sent from the top down, one after another. The orders have disturbed administrators at all levels, causing them to pay serious attention to them. Each level is now requiring its inferiors to write a Guarantee Letter that Falun Gong practitioners will be closely monitored to ensure that no problems arise in their workplaces. One recently issued document stressed that Falun Gong practitioners who still insist on practising are to be dismissed from their positions and those who are members be expelled from the Chinese Communist Party.

My friend Wu Weibiao is a young assistant professor at the University of Chicago. Being on the faculty for three and a half years, he has published more than twenty academic papers. Recently, he won a Career Award granted by the National Science Foundation. He was born in the countryside of China. He is honest and simple--no different from most other diligent and honest Chinese youths who study in the US. What distinguishes him from other overseas young people who study in the US is that for the past five years, he has not been able to go back to his homeland to see his parents, because he practices Falun Gong.

Before the persecution against Falun Gong and those who practise Falun Gong started in 1999, the benefits of Falun Gong were well known to people. There were so many amazing stories of physical and mental changes in the lives of practitioners that one would be truly touched upon listening to them. After the persecution began, people who follow Truth-Compassion-Tolerance were labeled as "evil" - by the most evil regime in human history, ironically - and people have been incited to hate and beat them and throw them into prison where they can be abused further.
