"I know the hospital where the girl stayed has long been using a special medicine produced by its own doctors on burn patients. Such medicine needs to be soaked in alcohol before it can be applied on burnt skin. Doctors must make sure the burnt skin is left exposed, without any gauze or bandage covering it." However, Li Siying was wrapped with gauze when she was interviewed by the reporter. This doctor stated clearly, "This is no doubt faked. It's apparent the authorities were making up things to frame Falun Gong."

Falun Gong practitioners never oppose the Chinese government, and have never violated any of China's laws. In fact, many people within the Chinese government oppose the suppression of Falun Gong, many of those people have family members who are Falun Gong practitioners. You may have noticed on Falun Gong websites articles that fully reflects the situations of Falun Gong practitioners, all references to "The Chinese government's suppression of Falun Gong" try to make it clear that it is not China that opposes Falun Gong, but Jiang Zemin and the "610 Office."

Facing the wide spread suspicion from overseas, Jiang dares not invite Falun Gong or any other third party to investigate these cases, and did his best to blockade the news about these suspicions instead. Moreover, any individual or any activity that spreads the truth about Falun Gong will be instantly given a guilty verdict and will be sentenced under Jiang's orders.

In 1998, Ms. Han, a lady in her sixties was involved in a car accident resulting to severe injuries to her head. She was nearly reduced to a vegetative state because of the grave injury to her cerebellum. After emergency treatments at the hospital and huge amounts of money been spent, there was not much improvement and she was was simply sent back home. She could not even recognise her family members or use utensils for her daily living.

There was once a lonely old woman whose home was raided and her life's savings robbed. How would she survive in the future? Witnessing the confused look on her face, I started to question myself: "Are you helping or hurting people? Are you really the people's policeman or a robber and a bandit?"

One day in 2002, officer Li from Hezhuang Township went to Liu Rongxin's home and said, "The township government still has the 2,000 yuan bail money you paid. If you agree to slander Li Hongzhi (founder of Falun Dafa), and let some journalists take pictures and videos, we will return the money to you." Ms. Liu's family member was very angry upon hearing that; "I won't do it if you returned the 2,000 yuan; I wouldn't do it even if you give me an extra 2,000 yuan."

He continued his line of questioning. "Can you children sing?"

"Yes," the children answered in chorus once again.

"Then we'd like to hear a song." Soon, the children started to sing a song composed by a Falun Dafa practitioner. The pure sound of singing by the children astonished the officials, who quickly retreated from the classroom while saying "Good"

At the time, I was the only Falun Dafa practitioner being detained at the centre. On the second day, they played a VCD showing a series of pictures of someone slandering Falun Dafa, with the intention of brainwashing me. I couldn't watch it as I know the truth about Falun Gong. My seven years of cultivation in Falun Dafa has shown me that this a genuine practice for upgrading one mind and body. I knew that Falun Dafa is really good. Hence, all the slander that they force upon me had no effect

I had tried almost everything, from Western medicine to Traditional Chinese medicine, and various Qigong masters to local folk medicine practitioners, but all had failed to cure my illness. Because of those experiences, I was sceptical that a book and tape of exercises could help me. However, after giving the matter a second thought I decided to try it out since my friend had travelled thousands of miles to bring me this book. I was really very moved by her concern so I thought I should have some consideration for her feelings. Therefore I said to her that I would read the book and then return it to her.

Many successful high-ranking governmental officials have not paid enough attention to the Falun Gong issue, have failed to think independently, or have blindly believed Jiang's fabrications. They are deceived by the government-controlled propaganda. In fact, they are trapped by Jiang and his regime, have stopped thinking for themselves, and have passively followed or even actively helped contribute to the persecution in order to gain favour with higher officials and advance their own careers, thereby planting the seeds for punishment in the future.

My supervisor then said to me, "You have clarified to the [Communist] Party that the practice of Falun Gong has no political aspirations, nor is it harming society or anyone, but instead helps you to become better people. Furthermore, you have been working hard with no complaints, and do not care about personal loss. Why should a good person such as yourself have to write a letter to forsake the practice? Let alone being fired... we will work on trying to keep you."

I did a good spring clean at home and I organised my home inside and out. It was really clean and organised. I delivered and picked up our child, did the grocery shopping, and cooked the meals. My husband saw this and was scared. He kept insisting that I take it easy so as to not get too tired. My neighbours were also very surprised. They had never seen me so active. I now experienced a what it was like to have body without any illness, and I found the true meaning of life.

"I am surprised that I haven't heard more reports about a U.S. congressional resolution (H Con Res 304 with 74 co-sponsors) urging the Chinese government to stop harassing and intimidating people who practice Falun Gong right here in the United States! Chinese, who come here to avoid persecution in China, have been subject to Chinese government surveillance, death threats, break-ins to their homes, and even a car was set on fire."

Yet Falun Gong has not been knocked down. Its principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance." It has been spread far and wide in the world. It has also won more than 1,200 acknowledgement and awards. Falun Dafa books have been translated into more than 30 languages.

At least at the beginning of their practise, their purpose was to keep fit or to treat illnesses. Therefore, even if all the 1400 cases were real (which means 200 deaths a year), the death rate is only one ten thousandth, which is much lower than the normal death rate of the Chinese people.

I could hear clearly what the doctors were saying. They said that the operation was smooth and successful. What even surprised the doctors is that I am recovering especially fast, and even broke the hospital's record for the fastest recovery. The doctors recorded my entire health history and wanted to investigate further. I don't think they will learn anything from that. I know that the essential key is because I believed, 'Falun Dafa is great'."

Among Danish Falun Gong practitioners there is a new practitioner named Liu Xiaotian who has just begun his cultivation. His parents were persecuted to death because they were Falun Gong practitioners in China. At the time he was only sixteen years old. The mental trauma he suffered prevented Xiaotian from expressing himself fluently. It has taken Danish Falun Gong practitioners one year to fully understand the whole event, his pain and suffering.

On the 20th of July, 1999, under Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin's instruction, the Chinese Party (CCP) began to suppress Falun Gong publicly. At that time they thought that Falun Gong could be eradicated within one month. Contrary to their expectations, five full years have now passed. During this time, tens of thousands of people who practise Falun Gong have been sentenced to imprisonment and sent to forced labour camps where they were brutally tortured, and some have died as a result. However, those who practice Falun Gong have not yielded to the despotic power of the CCP.

Once, two students seeing Mrs. Lai read without her glasses became curious and asked her, "How old are you? How do you read without glasses?" Their mother was in her 50's yet she couldn't read without her glasses. Mrs. Lai said, "I am in my 70's." The students were speechless because Mrs. Lai looked like she was only 50. Mrs. Lai continued, "I practice Falun Gong, so my sight gets clearer the more I read this book." The two students immediately bought a copy of Zhuan Falun from a bookstore, and later came to the park to practice the Falun Gong exercises.

I have put my heart into writing you this letter today on the eve of the 20th of July, which is the day when five years ago former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin initiated the most brutal suppression of the spiritual practice of Falun Dafa, which is what I practice. It is my wish to share with you what is in my heart every moment of every day. That is: Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance.

My acquaintance also told me, "When I was burned, I experienced extreme pain. I knelt down on the floor and couldn't stand up. After arriving at the hospital, I was given an injection to relieve the pain. It's hard to believe that the alleged victim of the Tiananmen Square immolation, Wang Jiangtong, who was supposed to have been terribly burned, could just sit there calmly and enthusiastically give a prepared speech."

A friend of mine asked me, "You (Falun Gong practitioners) have been giving us free VCD's and other types of materials that obviously cost a lot of money to produce. Where do you get the money from?" I said, "I have been saving up from my grocery expenses." His eyes widened in amazement. "You must have been distributing such materials for more than four years. Does all the money come from cutting down on your grocery budget?"

In this way, my aunt stepped onto the path of cultivation. Later, she was stopped by her in-law, and received a good scolding. She only smiled without retaliating. Her relative was shocked. Formerly when she bought vegetables, she would tear away the leaves down to the core. Now she never does that. She also never adds more vegetables after paying or steals a little bit when others aren't looking. A proverb says: The leopard never changes its spots. However, Falun Dafa can easily change the most odious part of human nature, and purify polluted hearts.

Falun Gong practitioner Zhao Ming is a Chinese national living in Ireland, he was arrested while visiting his family in China at Christmas in 1999. It was then that his subjection to nearly two years of cruel torture began while detained in a labour camp by the Jiang regime. After continuous appeals by Falun Gong practitioners and people from all levels of Irish society with a sense of justice, he was finally released in March 2002.

I have finally found out the real reason I have hated Falun Gong in the past few years. Under the attack of the intensive propaganda these past few years, many people in Mainland China have misunderstandings and even developed hatred towards Falun Gong. The reason for their hatred is more or less the same as mine. It is funny that those in power who really hate Falun Gong cite this as their evidence of "support from the majority," but they forget that this so-called "fact" is because they have controlled the media, covered up the truth and kept people from finding out for themselves.

After practising for only one and a half month, I lost 3 Jin. I no longer feel bloated after each meal. My bowel movements are now good. All the accumulated fluid in my abdomen is also gone. I feel wonderful! I will persevere in practising even if it means more hardships. For such a good practice, why not? I feel better day after day. My mood improves from one day to the next. Before, I had even contemplated suicide because of my unbearable sicknesses.

Jiang's group has been exploiting the Communist Party's tradition of launching massive political movements. They have organised large-scale activities: groups watching movies, mass denouncement, and the Million People's Petition Drive, etc. to force the people of the whole nation to become their accomplices. Whoever doesn't support their crimes, or whoever dares to express their sympathy and support for Falun Gong will be severely punished.

I received chemotherapy in the hospital for three years. I cannot express with words the suffering I endured. Even though I kept taking medication every day, in April of 2004, my tumour came back and metastasised to the bone (bone cancer). After I went to the hospital, my doctor said it was impossible to be completely cured. The only thing that could be done was to use chemotherapy, which might ease my sickness and relieve the pain for the time being. The doctor told my family members: "She will be paralysed soon."

"The world has already spoken out against China’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong. Members of democratic society have condemned China’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong. The U.S. Congress and the European Parliament, for example, have specifically passed resolutions calling on China to stop the persecution of Falun Gong and supporting the human rights of Falun Gong."

She then clarified the truth to me, which greatly surprised me. I realised Falun Gong is not like what the TV described after all. Still, the police put good people who believe in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance behind bars. After hearing her words, I commented from the bottom of my heart, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. If everyone were like you Falun Gong practitioners, this world would be so wonderful!"

I believe that my daughter has not broken any laws by distributing Falun Gong leaflets. Falun Gong does no harm the social order or any individual. On the contrary, such behaviour of distributing the truth of Falun Gong is respectful of every citizen's right to know the facts, is helpful to the judiciary and is beneficial to uphold the dignity of law. No single piece of information in these leaflets is against the Communist Party or our government

The core of Jiang's followers' persecution of Falun Gong is to imprint their anti-Falun Gong sentiment into the minds of the Chinese public. Under this campaign of state-sponsored terror, not only Falun Gong practitioners, but also all Chinese people are being deprived of their independent thinking and right to express different ideas. People are without choice but to accept Jiang and his followers' way of thinking.

It is fairly easy to figure out that Jiang suppressed Falun Gong because he was so jealous of Falun Gong's popularity. At the same time that the number of cultivators grew so rapidly, he became less and less popular. He lost his senses due to jealousy, and this was the most foolish thing he has ever done.

Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin and his group, which masterminds the persecution of Falun Gong, accuses Falun Gong of "mind control" in attempts to justify its label of "evil cult," because only then could the nationwide campaign to crush Falun Gong ever make sense to the people of China. After all, in the years before the persecution started, the Chinese government praised Falun Gong for the great benefits it had brought to Chinese society. How could it suddenly turn to become something so bad?

I suffered from unbearable pain on account of my liver ascites (excessive accumulation of fluids), so I was unable to eat or drink anything. My face was grayish-yellow, which alarmed everyone who visited me. As my illness became more and more serious, the hospital sent out a notice informing others about my critical condition.

The persecution of Falun Gong by China's dictator Jiang Zemin's regime has lasted for over five years. During the early stages when a propaganda campaign to defame Falun Gong was launched across the country, or during the later stages with the widespread efforts to "transform" Falun Gong practitioners so as to make them give up their belief in the practice is still underway today, at all times over the last five years, the persecutors have accused Falun Gong of mind control (or thought control).

When we know that Falun Gong practitioners in China are being persecuted and there are almost daily news accounts of someone dying as a result of the persecution we would not have a clear conscience if we did not condemn the persecution and ask people from all walks of life to help stop it. Our cries for justice are certainly not motivated by money!

To repress such a group of people, the methods used would certainly be evil, such as, "beat them to death and claim that they committed suicide, then send them to be cremated without verifying their identity,", "police can rape female practitioners, or the wife and daughter of male practitioners and they won't be reported." In a word, all sorts of inhumane and offencive conduct is protected and encouraged under the name of "Cracking down on Falun Gong."

Edward never wanted to make the tiger bench. Standing under the shade of a tree overlooking the anti-torture exhibition held in London on Sunday 18th July, he is almost in tears as he recalls the process of bringing himself to make the mock-up torture device. “Actually you know the tiger bench is very infamous. We heard about it before, when the Communist Party was condemning the previous regime and how they tortured their people. I didn’t know what kind of pain it could inflict. It is ironic that they now use the same thing to torture other people.”

As a result of this heroic action, the kindhearted doctor was detained at a brainwashing centre run by the Military Commission of the Chinese Communist Central Committee. This organisation is under Jiang's control, the same individual who reaped the benefits of the massacre on June 4, 1989. Dr. Jiang Yanyong has captured the world's attention. Even so, Jiang's group still abducted him and has forced him to be subjected to brainwashing without the restriction of laws or moral principles. This case reflects the brutal nature of Jiang Zemin's group.

As a result of the campaign in schools, many student or teachers who practice Falun Gong are expelled from school, detained or even sentenced to prison terms. Another result of the campaign is that a huge number of students are deceived to harbour hatred towards Falun Gong.

First, this announcement totally violated the Chinese Constitution that guarantees freedom of belief, association, and assembly. The Constitution also guarantees that Chinese citizens have the right to appeal and to defend themselves. The Constitution is the fundamental law of China. The announcement from the Public Security Department violates the Constitution, so it doesn't have any legal effect.

On the anniversary of the five year persecution of Falun Gong in China, we as Falun Gong practitioners in Latvia, stood in our practise site in Riga Park to remember all the Chinese People in the world. We would like to express our support and respect for Falun Gong practitioners in mainland China who firmly believe in Dafa.

In his letter, he said frankly, "I have been in contact with these practitioners for a few years. In the past, I also had misunderstandings about them and I even participated in the persecution. However, as time goes by, I see hope and a bright future in them. ... As a policeman serving the interest of the people, if I do not step forward to say a few words to uphold justice, I would indeed have a guilty conscience."

Before I finished speaking, he said to me loudly, "Peng You, Peng You." After repeating it twice, I realised that he was calling me "friend" in Chinese. I was very surprised and he said, "You can put them wherever you like." Afterwards, he took me around his stand and pointed to all the places where I could post the pamphlets and also said that I could cover all the spaces. I then asked, "Can I really put them anywhere?" The owner replied, "As long as you think this is important."

Over the past five years, Jiang's regime has abused the psychiatric field to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. This has been a two-pronged campaign. First, they falsely attributed heinous crimes committed by mentally ill people in society to Falun Gong practitioners. Second, the authorities labelled mentally healthy practitioners as mental patients so that they can send them to mental hospitals and institutions to persecute them.

In August of 2003, Liu Gongping the deputy head of the Xincun Police Station who personally controls the persecution of Falun Gong went with other officers to arrest Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Hu Wangxiang. Ms. Hu lives in the Yuanyi Residential Area. People who observed this incident became outraged. Under pressure of from the public's anger, Liu Gongping left two people behind to monitor the area and left with the other policemen.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that everyone is entitled to various rights such as: the right to life, liberty and security of person, the right to recognition everywhere as a person before the law, the right to own property alone as well as in association with others, the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion, the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and association, and the right not to be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.

A Native American Chief from Arizona said to Falun Gong practitioners, "I represent many Native American tribal people in the U.S. and am a witness to this most evil persecution in human history. So are the sky, the sun, the moon and the stars. In the divine world, we live on this motherland in harmony and peace. The persecution brings hurt and sorrow to my heart. We wish the Great Spirit to be together with you and your country to end this persecution. Let's step onto the beautiful homeward journey."

Fortunately, the majority of Falun Gong practitioners have persisted in their belief of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, including some who went astray under the Jiang regime's violent brainwashing but later returned to practice Falun Gong once again. These practitioners are putting on displaying the power of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance with their words and actions, and they use various methods to clarify the truth to people. Jiang and his followers are faced with total failure.
