Austria: Falun Gong Books Displayed at International Book Fair in Vienna

The International Book Fair and Reading Festival was held at Messe Wien, Vienna on November 12-15, 2009. The Falun Dafa Association of Austria set up a Falun Gong book display booth to introduce Falun Gong. Practitioners demonstrated the five Falun Gong exercises and introduced the principles of the practice during the book fair. -

On the 1st of August 2009, Falun Gong practitioners from Augsburg in Southern Germany held an information day called “Protect peace for humanity, stop the persecution of Falun Gong, bring an end to the CCP’s savagery”. NTDTV: NTDTV to Appeal Court Decision on Eutelsat Case

In 2004, NTDTV began broadcasting into China from a satellite owned by French company Eutelsat. In June 2008, Eutelsat terminated NTDTV's broadcast suddenly, saying that several satellite transponders had to be shut down because of technical difficulties. One of these transponders carried NTDTV's 24-hour signal into China. Many believe Eutelsat's decision was politically motivated, with the satellite carrier bowing to pressure from the Chinese communist regime. -
FDI: Spanish Court Indicts Top Communist Party Officials for Torture, Genocide of Falun Gong

The Epoch Times: Spanish Judge Calls Top Chinese Officials to Account for Genocide
2009-11-17In a groundbreaking case, following a two-year investigation, a Spanish judge has accepted charges of genocide and torture in a case filed against five high-ranking CCP officials for their role in the persecution of Falun Gong. This is the first time that a court has recognised the campaign against the group as legally fitting the definition of genocide. If the defendants were in Spain, the Court could call them before the Judge for a hearing. -

People in Europe and China Hope NTDTV Will Prevail in Lawsuit Over Blockage of Satellite TV Signals to China
2009-11-15A Paris court held a hearing regarding the New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV) lawsuit against Eutelsat on November 5, 2009. Eutelsat unilaterally stopped NTDTV broadcasts into Asia in the weeks leading up to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The broadcasts still have not resumed. Many people are concerned about this and hope that NTDTV will see justice served. -

On Saturday 7th November, the 2009 Czech and Slovak Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference took place in Brno. About 50 practitioners from the Czech Republic and Slovakia met together to share their cultivation experiences and talk about their efforts to raise awareness of the human rights abuses against fellow practitioners in China.
