| United Kingdom: Practitioners Take Part in Aarati “Festival of Light” in Cornwall [07.09.2008] |
On 31st August, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners from Devon and Cornwall took part in the first Aarati “Festival of Light” in Cornwall. The aim of the festival was to promote awareness of natural living. At the Falun Gong stall. practitioners demonstrated the five gentle Falun Gong exercises and introduced the practice to festival-goers.

| Germany: Falun Gong Practitioners Protest at the Chinese Consulate in Munich [06.09.2008] |
On August 24th Falun Gong practitioners staged a rally outside the Chinese Consulate in Munich in protest against the CCP persecution and organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners and in support of 41,000,000 people quitting the CCP.

| Italian News Agency Apcom: Eutelsat Blocks TV Signal for Economic Interests [06.09.2008] |
On August 6th, Italian news agency Apcom reported that the Italian Falun Gong Association exposed that Eutelsat was pressured by Beijing and interrupted the broadcast by NTDTV, the world’s largest independent Chinese TV station. From June 16th, millions of Chinese families have not been able to watch NTDTV's broadcast. Eutelsat explained that, due to technical failures on the W5 satellite, they had to shut down the transponders. |

| Russia: Falun Gong Practitioners hold Activities at a Carnival Celebration in Siberia [05.09.2008] |
On August 8th to August 18th, Falun Gong practitioners from Krasnoyarsk and Abakan in Siberia participated in the annual Vissarionovtsev religious community carnival to introduce Falun Gong and the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong in China to local residents.

| Ireland: Practitioners Condemn the Chinese Communist Regime’s Persecution [05.09.2008] |
On August 16th, 2008, Irish Falun Gong practitioners rallied at the GPO in Dublin to condemn the Chinese Communist regime’s escalation of the persecution against Falun Gong under the pretext of hosting the Olympics. They also called on international society to be concerned about the persecution of Falun Gong in China while holding the Olympic Games.

| Slovakia: Petition Campaign in Bratislava against the Persecution of Falun Gong [05.09.2008] |
On Friday, August 21st in Bratislava, in SNP Square, there was a petition campaign with the goal of drawing attention of the public to the continuing persecution of Falun Gong, which did not stop during the Olympic Games. The media were informed about recent reports from the CIPFG, which drew attention to cases of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners continues and reported about a dozen hospitals, which were investigated and which confirmed this practice over the phone. |

| Germany: "For Human Rights and for You, I Will Sign my Name" [04.09.2008] |
On the 12th of July 2008 in the city centre of Dresden, Falun Gong practitioners held an activity to support the ‘World Million Signatures' campaign, calling for an end of the CCPs persecution of Falun Gong before the Beijing Olympic Games. People who understood what is going on in China eagerly came to sign, condemning the persecution. An assistant Minister of the State of Saxony passed by and immediately signed his name; he had a conversation with practitioners about China’s human rights record. |

| Germany: Activities Calling for the Resumption of NTDTV’s Signal to China [03.09.2008] |
On August 17th, Falun Gong practitioners held activities on the streets of Hamburg to expose the Chinese Communist regime’s cruel persecution of Falun Gong. They also collected signatures calling on the Eutelsat Company to immediately resume broadcast of the New Tang Dynasty Television’s (NTDTV) signal.

On August 14th, the CIPFG (Coalition to Investigate Persecution of Falun Gong) submitted a global petition to the Belgian Prime Minister. The petition urged the Belgian government to help end the CCP (Chinese Communist Party)'s persecution of Falun Gong. | Czech Republic: Falun Gong Practitioners Silent Vigil Seen on Television [02.09.2008] |
On the eve of the Olympic Games in Beijing, the Association of Falun Gong in the Czech Republic organized a 24 hour vigil for dead practitioners of the Falun Gong meditation practice who were killed by the Chinese communist regime. The activity also pointed out that 1.3 million people demand a stop to the persecution of Falun Gong in a world-wide petition.

| Finland: Falun Gong Practitioners Join Activities at an 'Art Night' in Helsinki [31.08.2008] |
On the evening of August 22nd, 2008, during Helsinki Art Night, Falun Gong practitioners held activities in Esplanade Park to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Several young female practitioners were wearing beautiful ancient Chinese clothing as they distributed information leaflets and folded paper lotus flowers to the passers-by.

| Il Giornale (Italian newspaper): Two Falun Gong Practitioners Tortured to Death [31.08.2008] |
On August 24th, Italian newspaper Il Giornale once again reported the news of Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted to death by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The article said that two Falun Gong practitioners from Shandong Province were tortured to death in prison. 58-year-old Zhong Zhenfu was beaten to death in Pingdu police station. Liu Xiumei from Zhucheng was arrested in July, but 17 days after that Liu died mysteriously. When International News Service (INS) interviewed on these events, the Chinese local officials chose silence. |

On August 23rd, British Falun Gong practitioners held activities in the ancient university city of Cambridge to raise awareness about the facts of the CCP’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong. They hung banners reading "Falun Dafa is Good" and "Stop the Persecution", and called for help to stop the persecution.

On August 24th, 2008, the UK Falun Gong Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference was held in Cambridge, practitioners from all across the UK travelled to attend. About twenty Chinese and western practitioners gave speeches to share their experiences on studying the principles of Falun Dafa well, improving their character and raising awareness about the persecution.

| Sweden: Swedish Human Rights Organisations Protest against the Persecution of Falun Gong at the Chinese Embassy [21.08.2008] |
On August 8th, 2008, 1 pm, a rally was held by Reporters without Borders, several Swedish NGOs, as well as MPs. They were there to protest against the Chinese Communist Party’s human rights abuses in the lead-up to the Olympics, including violating the promise about freedom of speech it made to the International Olympics Committee.

In the days leading up to the Olympics, Croatian practitioners contacted local media in order to let them know the the truth about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution. Prompted by a documentary shown on Croatian National Television ( HRT ) in which Falun Gong was referred to as a "sect", directly repeating the Chinese Communist Party's slanderous propaganda, the practitioners immediately focused on intensively contacting the Croatian media in order to expose the CCP's lies and allow the Croation people to hear the truth. |

On August 8th, Norwegian Falun Gong practitioners went to the Chinese Embassy in Oslo to protest against the CCP using the name of the Olympic Games to kidnap large numbers of Falun Gong practitioners. They also called for an immediate end to the CCP’s ongoing crime of removing live Falun Gong practitioner’s organs and selling them. From June 7th to June 30th, illegal cases of arresting Falun Gong practitioners have numbered over 8037. |

The European Tian Guo marching band performed in Cambridge on July 27th to raise awareness about the severe human rights abuses that practitioners of Falun Gong have endured for the past nine years. All of the 70-piece band are Falun Gong practitioners, hailing from different countries in Europe.

On July 26th, Falun Gong practitioners from Madrid gathered at the Chinese Embassy to protest against the CCP's nine years of cruel persecution. All passers-by could see the banner reading “Stop the persecution of Falun Gong” and many of them passed across the road to accept flyers and view the torture exhibition pictures.

| Ireland: Irish Students call on the International Community to Rescue Their Parents [31.07.2008] |
On July 19th, after the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been illegally persecuting Falun Gong practitioners for nine years, Tang Liang, a student who majors in Finance at Cork University in Ireland, exposed that he had witnessed in his own eyes how his parents, who practise Falun Gong were illegally arrested when he spent his summer holiday in China. At the moment, his father is still being detained in Jin Shui brain-washing Class, Zhengzhou city, Henan Province and his mother is facing a three to seven year illegal sentence. |

On July 18, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners in Holland gathered at the Chinese Embassy in The Hague and protested the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) nine-year-long persecution of Falun Gong. Falun Gong practitioners held a stall in the Cornish town of St. Just. Every July, the town is filled with colour and music on Lafrowda Day, a celebration of community arts in the area. From June 28th to July 3rd, 2008, over thirty young practitioners from Northern Europe went to Gotheborg, along with their parents, to take part in activities there. An eight member Chinese delegation headed by Harbin City Mayor Zhang Xiaolian, encountered a protest when they visited the city government of Arhus, Denmark’s second largest city, on July the 6th, 2008. The protest was organised by Danish citizens to expose the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Harbin.

| Germany: Falun Gong at the Cultural Festival in Augsburg [17.07.2008] |
Various political, cultural, charity and human rights organisations and groups from more than ten countries attended the annual Multi-Cultural Festival in Augsburg, including Falun Gong practitioners from Germany and Austria. It was the fifth time that Falun Gong had been invited to attend the festival, and the organisers were happy to see them.

On July 5th, 2008 Falun Gong practitioners held activities in the square of St. Michaels Church, in the busy business district of Munich, to expose the nine year persecution of Falun Gong and support the 39 million Chinese people who have quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organisations. Many people signed their names on a petition condemning the persecution.

Falun Gong practitioners organised a 'Falun Gong Information Day' in Titi See in the Black Forest. They hoped to raise awareness about the Chinese Communist Party's nine year persecution of Falun Gong and to support the wave of Chinese people quitting the Chinese Communist Party, as well as the affiliated youth and young pioneers.

On July 4th, Falun Gong practitioners from Slovakia visited Poprad, a city in eastern Slovakia, in order to inform people there about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Although the weather was not very favourable in the beginning and it even rained a little, the passers-by were not discouraged. They stopped at the petition table, read the information material and signed the petition. |

On July 5th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners from Helsinki made use of the weekend break to go to the railway station. They went to raise awareness about Falun Gong and inform them about the ten years of brutal persecution endured by Falun Gong practitioners at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party.

On May 17th, 2008, when the French city Nancy held a meeting regarding the persecution of Falun Gong, French MP M. Roland Ena, a former minister and present aid to the Mayor of Nancy, wrote to the French government asking for protection of Falun Gong practitioners’ rights and ending the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

On July 5th, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners held a “Falun Gong Information Day” in downtown Passau, Germany. They collected signatures from the public expressing support for bringing the Chinese communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners to an end before the Beijing Olympics.

On July 5th, 2008, practitioners held activities in Düsseldorf and Mülheim in Nordrhein-Westfalen, German. They raised awareness about what Falun Gong is, and informed local people about the cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party during the past nine years.

In the run-up to "Global CCP-Quitting Day", activities supporting the 39 million withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organisations were held in nine cities in Germany on June 28th, 2008. Many people signed a petition urging the Chinese Communist regime to put an end to the persecution of Falun Gong before the opening of the Beijing Olympics.
