Germany: Opening Ceremony at the Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance International Art Exhibition [19.10.2007]

The opening ceremony of the “Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance International Art Exhibition” sponsored by Mayor Roland Kern, took place on September 7th 2007 at 7:30pm. Mayor Kern stressed in his opening speech that this incredible exhibition was discussed by the city’s officials under the theme “Art is Tolerant” and allowed to proceed by the members.

Austria: Promoting Falun Gong and Exposing the Persecution in Vienna [19.10.2007]

On October 14th, Austrian practitioners held an information day at the famous Naschmarkt, a popular market square in Vienna, to expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) inhumane persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. The Naschmarkt is where the heart of the Chinese community is, and it attracts a lot of Chinese shoppers on weekends.

Sweden: Human Rights Torch Arrives in Capital City Stockholm [18.10.2007]

On 14th October 2007, the Olympic Human Rights Torch Relay arrived in the Swedish capital Stockholm. Stockholm is the 22nd city since the start of the Relay initiated by CIPFG on 9th August. Swedish relay runner Per-Arne Brjesson took the lead in carrying the torch through Stockholm.

Germany: Support in Munich for Withdrawals from the CCP ahead of the National Day of Mourning [16.10.2007]

Setting up banners reading “Support twenty-six million withdrawals from the CCP” and laying out photos that exposed the CCP’s crimes against Chinese people during its reign, Falun Gong practitioners gathered together ahead of the National Day of Mourning to support Chinese people quitting the CCP and to welcome the re-birth of the Chinese nation.

Sweden: Swedish Practitioners Protest against the Persecution of Falun Gong at the Chinese Embassy in Gothenburg [16.10.2007]

October 1st is the day the Chinese people lost their national day. In order to protest against the CCP's brutal persecution against Falun Gong since 1999, a group of practitioners in Gothenburg gathered at the Chinese Embassy, protesting against eight years of persecution, and requesting the CCP stops the persecution immediately.

Germany: Saxony Day in Reichenbach Vogtland [15.10.2007]

Despite rainy weather, around 300,000 people went to Saxony Day. The celebrations ended with a parade that wound through the entire city. Around 100,000 people watched this parade. Practitioners from different areas in Germany came because this was a great opportunity to tell the truth about the persecution to a large amount of people.

Poland: “What you are doing today is really good, really terrific!” [15.10.2007]

During a series of events on the days preceding the European Falun Gong Experience Sharing Conference held in Warsaw last month, over 100 MPs signed a petition to support Falun Gong within one day. Besides the recognition and support from political circles and media in Poland, the support from ordinary people also touched Falun Gong practitioners from Europe. On September 21st and 22nd Falun Gong practitioners held a parade and rally in the city centre, which was given widespread coverage by the media.

Sweden: Human Rights Torch Relay Receives Massive Support in Gothenburg [15.10.2007]

On October 8th, the Human Rights Torch Relay arrived in Sweden’s second largest city, Gothenburg. MPs from seven different parties gave speeches at the event and many human rights organisations, artists and young athletes were there showing their support. They all condemned the persecution of the Chinese people by the CCP regime.

Germany: Exposing the CCP’s Persecution in Stuttgart [13.10.2007]

On September 29th, practitioners introduced Falun Gong to the people in Stuttgart. At the same time they exposed the more than eight years of persecution against Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist regime. While one practitioner demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, some visitors wanted to know where they could learn the practice.

Sweden: Human Rights Torch Reaches Malmö [12.10.2007]

On the 7th of October, the Global Human Rights Torch arrived in Sweden’s third biggest city, Malmö after leaving the Danish capital Copenhagen. Sydsvenskan (Swedish Southern Daily) TV station and many local newspapers reported on the event. Many politicians and a famous singer came to the event to call for human rights in China.

Holland: Human Right Torch Arrives in Dutch Political Capital The Hague [11.10.2007]

On October 3rd 2007, the Human Rights Torch Relay initiated by the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) arrived in the Netherlands’ political capital The Hague, which was the first stop of the Relay in the Netherlands. Among those who participated in the relay were musicians, poets and representatives from all walks of life.

Russia: Dafa Practitioners Receive Warm Welcome in Stavropoly City's 230th Anniversary Celebrations [11.10.2007]

Through participating in the city' anniversary celebrations in this special way, practitioners brought Falun Dafa's magnificence to this city. They were warmly welcomed by local residents. After the event was over, Stavropoly City's Cultural and Recreational Park Administration issued a special recognition letter to the Falun Gong practitioners in appreciation of their participation.

Denmark: Human Rights Torch Arrives in Copenhagen [11.10.2007]

On the 6th of October, the Human Rights Torch was passed from the Netherlands to Denmark’s capital Copenhagen. It was a rare sunny day during autumn. All present wore yellow ribbons in support of lawyer Gao Zhisheng, who has lost his freedom due to persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and is still being persecuted in China.

United Kingdom: Falun Gong in Leeds City Centre [09.10.2007]

Been a busy Saturday in one of England's largest cities there was a lot of people passing-by the area where the activity was been held. This in turn gave many people a chance to learn about the practice and to sign their names on the petition to show their support against the persecution.

Belgium: St. Niklaas is Fourth Stop for Human Rights Torch [09.10.2007]

October 1st is the National Day of Mourning in China. On this day, the Human Rights Torch Relay arrived at St. Niklaas City, the fourth stop in Belgium, where the sixtieth Peace Festival was just celebrated. The Mayor decided to let the city hall become the recipient of the Torch as a part of the Peace Festival, to express support from the city for human rights in China.

Chinese Regime Interferes with Hamburg's Fesitval of Culture [09.10.2007]

Although the police has been advised in advance about this and the activities were approved by the organisers of the event, Falun Gong participants were informed, just before the parade neared the Chinese market, that they could not distribute flyers like other groups and two banners were confiscated, claiming that the information on the banners was politically motivated.

United Kingdom: Chinatown Chorus Calls on People to Quit the CCP [08.10.2007]

Local choir Tian Yuan Chorus gave a performance in Chinatown, London. This event was to encourage UK people to show concern for the Chinese people in mainland China who have been suffering under a brutal communist dictatorship, and was also to call on the Chinese people to quit the CCP and its related organisations.

Germany: Tourists in Ritterhude Concerned about Organ Harvesting in China [08.10.2007]

German Falun Gong practitioners held an activity in the German town of Ritterhude. Many tourists were horrified after looking at posters and fliers about the state sponsored, although carefully concealed, forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners that is happening in China, just before the start of the Beijing Olympics.

Belgium: Human Rights Torch Relay Arrives in Ostend [07.10.2007]

Ostend’s MP Wouter De Vriendt and Great Flanders’ MP Gino De Craemer held the post of ambassadors of the Human Rights Torch Relay in person. They started from the city centre, Wapenplein Square, ran along a big coastal road to today’s main meeting field Deli Harpers Sculpture and attracted the attention of many tourists.

Bulgaria: People Enjoy Learning about the Falun Gong Principles and Exercises [06.10.2007]

During “Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance International Art Exhibition” in Sofia, Bulgarian practitioners organised a presentation of Falun Gong and a demonstration of the five sets of exercises in the club “Photo reporter” in the Ministerial Council. Several hundred invitations were sent out and detailed information was sent to the media.

Germany: Participants Share Their Thoughts at the Global Torch Relay for Human Rights in Munich [06.10.2007]

The torch relay is to protest against the Olympic Games being held in Beijing when such terrible human rights abuses are happening there and among other issues demands the release of adherents of the peaceful meditation practice Falun Gong. A United Nations report regarding torture revealed that 66% of torture victims in China are Falun Gong adherents. According to reports, these people are systematically murdered in Chinese slave labour camps for their organs, which are traded for economic profit in world markets. The torch relay is meant to put pressure on the Chinese Communist regime and bring hope to the people in China.

Belgium: Global Human Rights Torch Relay Reaches Brussels [05.10.2007]

The Human Rights Torch arrived in Brussels on the 28th of September 2007 after passing through over ten cities in Europe. Belgian senators, athletes, representatives from human rights organisations and citizens gathered at Schunman Square near the European Union to greet the arrival of the Human Rights Torch and witness this historic moment.

Belgium: Human Rights Torch Arrives in Antwerp [04.10.2007]

After a morning of heavy rain, the torch from Brussels in the hands of two torch relay messengers led the supporters of the relay, which started from St John Square and finished at the venue of the rally Queen’s Square near the railway station. The route covered the biggest China town in Belgium and attracted local people’s attention.

Spain: The People of Madrid Support the Withdrawals from the CCP [02.10.2007]

October 1st is the date that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) seized power and began governing China. On September 29th, before “China’s sad day”, the Service Centre for Quitting the Party in Spain held an activity at Puerta del Sol in Madrid to support the 27 million Chinese withdrawals from the CCP and collected signatures.

Denmark: Supporting Lawyer Zhisheng Gao and Protesting against the Persecution of Falun Gong [03.10.2007]

In the afternoon of September 29th, Danish Falun Gong practitioners appealed for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP and rallied to support the Chinese Human Rights Lawyer Zhisheng Gao. On the September 20th, Lawyer Zhisheng Gao published an open letter to the US Congress and was subsequently persecuted by the CCP.

U.K. Falun Gong Practitioners Send Greetings to Respected Master Li on the Moon Festival [02.10.2007]

Lithuania: Human Rights Torch Relay Lights Up Kaunas City [01.10.2007]

Local human right organisations gathered at Unity Square in the centre of the city to welcome the Torch. Donning traditional costumes, two Lithuanians and representatives from human rights organisations escorted the human rights torch ambassadors to the National Independent Monument to ignite the Human Rights Torch in front of the Monument.

France: Falun Gong Practitioners Expose Organ Harvesting by the Chinese Communist Regime [30.09.2007]

On September 8th, 2007, French Falun Gong practitioners spent a day in downtown Paris distributing flyers to local residents and tourists. They wanted to expose the Chinese communist regime’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong as well as organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. Upon learning the truth, many people signed their names condemning the persecution.

Holland: Falun Gong spreads in the Kingdom of Flowers [30.09.2007]

Before starting to practise Falun Gong, Mrs. Zhu suffered greatly with breast cancer and lost the will to live. “I was dying then. But at the end of 1994, a friend of mine posted me the Falun Gong book. When I read the book, I was moved. Later Zhuan Falun was published. I read Zhuan Falun frequently and within a week, I felt much better.

Turkey: Falun Gong Practitioners Wish the Founder of Falun Gong, Mr Li Hongzhi, a Happy Moon Festival [30.09.2007]

We assure you that we will follow your instruction to be more studious and thorough in our efforts of studying the Falun Gong teachings and coordinating with one another to do the three things well so as to keep up with the pace of Fa-rectification. We will also cultivate ourselves steadfastly and strive forward diligently to fulfil our prehistoric oaths and live up to your compassionate salvation.

Switzerland: Renowned Cellist Performs at Ceremony for the Human Rights Torch Relay [29.09.2007]

At a ceremony marking the Human Rights Torch Relay in Geneva, a cellist’s excellent performance won high praise from the audience. The musician was none other than Christian Benda, a renowned cellist in Switzerland and the chief conductor of the Czech Prague Republic Symphony Orchestra.

France: Falun Gong Practitioners Call for an End to the Persecution [29.09.2007]

China and Europe have just concluded a four day human rights dialogue in Strasbourg, one of the two meeting places of the European Parliament. One of the most important topics that was discussed is the eight year long persecution of Falun Gong in China. Falun Gong practitioners from France and Germany came to Strasbourg to distribute leaflets and call for an end to the persecution and were encouraged by Edward McMillan-Scott, vice president of the European Parliament.

Poland: Falun Gong Practitioners Hold a Large Scale Event in Warsaw [27.09.2007]

On September 21st, the Polish version of Zhuan Falun was formally published. Zhuan Falun is the main book by the founder of Falun Gong, Mr Li Hongzhi, and it has been translated into over thirty languages. To coincide with the book's publication practitioners gathered in central Warsaw for a series of activities.

United Kingdom: Falun Gong Practitioners at the Birmingham Art Festival [26.09.2007]

UK Falun Gong practitioners took part in the UK's biggest free arts festival. This was the sixth year that Falun Gong practitioners have been invited to join As well as manning a stall, practitioners also joined stage performances, performing a couple of traditional-style dances. Falun Gong practitioners in Chinese traditional dress also demonstrated the five Falun Gong exercises on the stage.

Germany: European Divine Land Marching Band performs in Cologne [26.09.2007]

On September 16th, 2007, the European Divine Land Marching Band performed in Germany’s famous tourist town, Cologne. Once spotted, the band made up of Falun Gong practitioners immediately drew a great deal of attention. Having seen the performance, a German lady said, “I believe justice will win over evil. Good luck!”

Belgium: Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in the ‘Retrouvailles’ in Liège [25.09.2007]

Falun Gong practitioners have been taking part in this event for the last few years to raise awareness about the practice and expose the brutal persecution of practitioners in China. People stopped to read the information on the banner and showed concern for all the atrocities. They expressed their wish that they would end soon.

United Kingdom: “Please give me a leaflet!” Raising Awareness about Falun Gong in the Centre of London [25.09.2007]

St. Martin’s Square in the centre of London is an important place where Falun Gong practitioners from the UK raise awareness about Falun Dafa and the persecution to people in the UK. In recent years, Falun Gong practitioners in London have come here many times to talk to people in the UK face to face, letting more people hear and see the facts about Falun Gong and learn about the cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the evil Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and calling on civilians in the UK to help end the persecution.

Germany: Raising Awareness about the Persecution of Falun Gong with a Photo Exhibition at the Hamburg Cultural Festival [23.09.2007]

Falun Gong practitioners held a photo exhibition with the title "The Journey of Falun Dafa" at their local university after participating in the Hamburg Cultural Festival's grand parade. The exhibition of photographs and text depicted the benefits of practising Falun Dafa and exposed the Chinese Communist Party's brutal persecution.

Russia: Introducing Falun Gong in the Altai Krai Border Area [23.09.2007]

Some of them asked, ''Who pays you to distribute these materials?'' Yola replied, ''Nobody gives me money to do this. The money I used to obtain these materials came from my own savings. I have come here especially for you, so that you can understand these fact. I know that you do not have the opportunity to read these materials in China, so it's hard for you to know the facts. Now that you have the opportunity, please just take them to read when you have a moment of free time.''

Switzerland: Falun Gong is Supported in Geneva, the Human Rights Capital of the World [22.09.2007]

On September 15th, 2007, Mr. Patrice Mugny, Mayor of Geneva, received the Human Rights Torch. The torch had just arrived from its last stop in Slovakia. In his speech, he voiced his support for Falun Gong practitioners. Mr. Mugny is a member of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) in Europe. Mr Mugny said that he came to know about the use of torture by the Chinese Communist Party in March 2006, from a report by the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Torture.

Switzerland: The Mayor of Geneva Takes Over the Human Rights Relay Torch in Molard Square [20.09.2007]

The ceremony to pass on the Human Rights Torch was held in Molard Square. Geneva is the ninth stop of the Human Rights Torch Relay. Today’s host was Dr. Charles Grace, the Vice President of the European chapter of the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) and the Secretary of an international multi-religious organisation.

Denmark: We can’t allow the persecution to go on any longer” [20.09.2007]

Falun Gong practitioners from Copenhagen went to the new square in the city centre to raise awareness about Falun Gong and the Chinese Communist Party's eight years of evil persecution of the practice. They displayed pictures depicting Falun Gong's growing popularity around the world and how practitioners are being tortured in China.

Sweden: Raising Awareness about Falun Gong in the Small Town of Gråbo [19.09.2007]

Falun Gong practitioners from Lerum and Gothenburg held an activity on the central square in the small town of Gråbo in the southwest of Sweden on Saturday September 1st, to introduce Falun Gong to local people. Practitioners demonstrated Falun Gong's five exercises and distributed information about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong.

Finland: Raising Awareness about the Persecution of Falun Gong with an 'Anti-Torture Exhibition' in Helsinki [16.09.2007]

On September 8th, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners from Helsinki gathered beside the railway station to hold an anti-torture exhibition, exposing the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong and the atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.

Ukraine: Raising Awareness about Falun Gong During a Town Festival [16.09.2007]

The town of Krasniy Liman celebrated the 340th anniversary of its establishment. Local residents gathered in a downtown park where groups offered various cultural and artistic festivities. Ukrainian Falun Gong practitioners made use of the opportunity and exposed to festival goers the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese communist regime

Russia: Paper Lotus Flowers Raise Awareness about Falun Gong [15.09.2007]

On the 1st and 2nd of September 2007, Falun Gong practitioners in Russia held two consecutive days of Folding Paper Lotus Flowers to Convey the Truth in the Square at Lenexpo Exhibition Centre, the largest of its kind in St. Petersburg. The place was packed with people and practitioners could hardly cope with the number of onlookers.

Finland: 'Anti-Torture Exhibition' Depicts Hidden Brutality of the Chinese Communist Party [15.09.2007]

On September 8th, 2007, Finnish Falun Gong practitioners gathered in Helsinki city centre to conduct a reenactment of torture methods used to persecute Falun Gong practitioners in Chinese labour camps and prisons. They also exposed the atrocity of organ harvesting from living victims, appealing to local people for support to bring the persecution to an end.

United Kingdom: Showing the Beauty of Falun Dafa in Truro Carnival [15.09.2007]

Practitioners from Cornwall in England, supported by practitioners from London and Brighton, took part in Truro carnival for the first time on 8th September 2007. The Falun Dafa float, decorated with beautiful pink lotus flowers, Falun symbols and heavenly clouds, carried practitioners demonstrating the peaceful Falun Gong exercises.

United Kingdom: Practitioners Raise Awareness about Falun Gong During the Conference Weekend [13.09.2007]

On the weekend of August 25th, the "UK Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference 2007” was held. The day before the conference, many Falun Gong practitioners living outside London went to one of the capital's parks to demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises and raise awareness about the persecution. Many people were attracted by the peaceful exercise music.
