As the general election is about to begin, the Germany political parties have organized many election activities, which also provide Falun Gong practitioners good opportunities to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to government officials.

"If we go along with Jiang Zemin’s leadership approach we are guilty of helping to create a dangerous situation for the future of the democratic countries. As you are aware of, Chinese officials are already pressing European governments to infringe upon the rights of Falun Gong practitioners in Europe. There are many such examples. This situation is extremely serious."

On June 29, 2002, Swedish and Austrian Dafa practitioners were invited to introduce Falun Gong at the collaboration meeting of Croatian conventional and frontier medicines. This meeting was held in Zagreb. Many medical doctors and physicians attended the meeting.

On behalf of the Falun Gong Association of the United Kingdom I am writing to respectfully request your assistance in serious matters of utmost importance for the future of the people of Ukraine. I call on you to use the executive powers bestowed on you by the virtue your ministry to stop what appears to be a two-year history of persecution of the practitioners of Falun Dafa in Ukraine.

The three practitioners asked the officials to urge the Cambodian government to admit their mistakes, help free the two Falun Gong practitioners in China, and ensure that this would never occur again. The officials expressed their total agreement with what the practitioners said and replied that they fully understood why the practitioners had such concerns and requests. They promised that they would convey the practitioners' concerns to their government.

"Those who know the truth of the persecution are routinely shocked by the lengths the Chinese government go to torture its own people and we are saddened when those who fail to investigate the practice for themselves echo the actions of the Chinese Government. Do not tarnish your countries international reputation but instead join the righteous voices that are condemning this illegal persecution."

"We are writing on behalf of all Falun Gong practitioners in Austria and respectfully ask you to urge the Chinese authorities to release Falun Gong practitioner Mrs. Yoko Kaneko in your visit in China."

One lady received us warmly. When she understood about the truth about Falun Gong, she firmly expressed that Jiang Zemin’s dictatorship government suppressing Falun Gong is something that cannot be tolerated by any democratic party and democratic country. Before leaving, we just found out that she is the new chairman of the Christian Democratic party for this province.

"The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will be subjected to pressure from the Chinese Embassy, to compel your Government to take a tougher stand on Falun Gong. We applaud the fact that justice in Ukraine is impartial. We hope it will be the same in the political field and that this young democracy will remain always upright, even when confronted with a giant like China."

That evening when we arrived in Dresden, the city was experiencing a heavy rainstorm. We found the spokesman from the Ministry of Domestic Affairs in Sachsen State, and talked to him for two and a half hours.

The general public still vividly remembered the overly tight security measures during Jiang’s visit to Goslar. Not only did they regard it as something inconceivable, but they were also angry with the matter. When we told them that a female student from China had been detained for nine hours without decent reasons they were shocked and said that they didn’t know the situation was so serious.

We met many visitors from China. A lady from Tianjin thanked us for giving her handouts that clarified the facts and said, "During this overseas trip, I met Falun Gong everywhere. Your actions are very touching. I think the Chinese government should objectively face the Falun Gong issue, listen to the voice of the people and not spread shameless propaganda every day on TV."

"It is appalling that Jiang Zemin can dictate the actions of an independent state like Ukraine and that Ukrainian authorities would be subject to decrees from as far away as Beijing. Through a series of recent events, we are witnessing a systematic expansion of Jiang’s persecution of Falun Gong in Europe..If Ukraine wishes to aspire to the best European standards, then upholding the freedom of belief and association will be one of the basic building blocks."

"This detention, that reminds us of the practices of the “red terror” to which citizens of your own country were subjected not that long ago that are still in our memory, should never have occurred, and could not and would not have occurred in any democracy around the world. The facts of this case are clear: the Ukrainian police were acting under pressure from Jiang's regime."

"Mr. High Commissioner, we appeal to you to urge Cambodia to assure the safety and other basic rights of these two people and others who practice their belief in Truth-Compassion-Tolerance and face the danger there. We appeal to you to condemn the Chinese government’s wrongdoing and ask the Chinese government to release Mr. Li and his wife who are now detained in China."

"We know from the UN news that you are now in the trip to China and Cambodia. Your enormous effort on improving human right in China is highly appreciated...We believe these recent developments are serious enough to catch the attention of the United Nations and all democratic countries because many of these are beyond the Chinese border and affect citizens of western democracies."

On August 12th and 14th, Italian Falun Gong practitioners went to the Chinese Consulate in Milan, to reveal Jiang Zemin’s cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and appeal to stop the sham trial in Hong Kong.

We went to the Crimean Peninsula to clarify the truth to the people of Crimea. On the first day, a lady came to our display and looked over the pictures. When she saw our Falun Gong exercises, she felt that it was what she had long been searching for.

"We learned that the Cambodian police, under pressure from the Chinese Embassy in Phnom Penh, have on the 9th of August deported a Chinese couple who were Falun Gong practitioners and living and working in Phnom Penh with U.N. Refugee Certificates. We are certain that, upon knowing the truth and facts of the persecution, you will do everything possible in this matter and do all that you can to safeguard the rights of those holding UN refugee status."

The presenter of the programme took great pains to get her facts right regarding the case, talked to me at length before we went on air and was very sympathetic and aware of the negative effects of this trial for Hong Kong and her citizens.
