When I received the paycheck in early August, I noticed that the company had forgotten to account for my leave. I had received an extra day’s pay. I went to the foreman again. After he listened to my explanations, he asked, “What is your hourly pay?” I said, “Ten Euros.” He said with a smile, “Mine is 20 Euros an hour. It is fine, forget about it!” Then, he returned the paycheck to me. I insisted, “Please talk to the people in the office.”

I’ve experienced tough times after obtaining Dafa. One time after I came back from Fa-study, my husband was so angry that he produced a 30cm long fruit knife. He cut my clothes and threatened, “You are lucky that you ran away. If you had been too slow, I’d have killed you with this knife.” After this, things became better. Now I’ve become more flexibility in spreading the Fa and practising the exercises. I used to feel afraid after Fa-study and think in my mind, “Oh, I’ll be scolded when I get home.” However, after changing my mind: I said to myself that I cannot be afraid. It’s sacred for us to learn Dafa. We’ll have a high level in the future. What am I afraid of?” When I have righteous thoughts, I am no longer afraid.

If there are special agents around us or some fellow practitioner is suspected of being a special agent, we should all look inward to see whether it is due to our own field not being benevolent enough, not peaceful enough, not righteous enough, or not harmonious enough. If this is the case, we should strengthen our Fa study, continue to send forth righteous thoughts, and communicate more with fellow practitioners to form a firm and solid body.

Practitioners saw him several times and he was willing to talk with them. He knew the truth about the persecution well. However, he thought it had little to do with him and that he could do nothing to help. During Jiang’s visit in Germany, one western practitioner’s human rights were infringed upon by German policemen under pressure from Jiang. When the MP was approached by this practitioner, he immediately showed an interest and said that he would write letters to the relevant police department to find out the details. I think he felt that the incident was relevant to him as it occurred in his election district. This allowed practitioners to further clarify the facts to him about Jiang’s persecution of Falun Gong.

There are some people who become anxious easily. For instance, a man who has to catch a train in the morning. Even though he uses an alarm clock he still does not sleep easily. There are other cases: A person who cannot sleep because of an exam the next day. A person who speaks without coherence and with a trembling voice in front of an audience. When busy, he rushes his work and always forgets something...

One day, when Ms. Shu Na was crossing an intersection on a Boulevard, a car hit her and as a result of the impact, she was flung 7 or 8 metres. Her body was tossed around in the air after which she landed on her right side. At the moment, she said that her mind was very clear, and she vividly remembered a similar story mentioned by Master Li. As a result, she was not scared at all.

Pure Benevolence (Shan) has no notions. It is a natural expression and the manifestation of one’s true nature. Pure benevolence is not fragile, yielding or intentional. It has no restriction or apprehension. Pure benevolence is the harmonious unification of matter and spirit. Pure benevolence encompasses and understands everything, and communicates with all matter and existence.

My husband, who does not practise cultivation, got through Customs first and kept looking at me nervously. When I smoothly passed through Customs, we held each other’s hands. I found that his palm was covered with cold sweat. I personally felt the terrible atmosphere caused by China’s persecution on Falun Gong. At all times, one has to face being locked up, sent to prison, cruel torture, spiritual persecution or even death merely because of practising Falun Gong.

Sometimes, when running into many problems at the same time, I felt very uncomfortable, as if my future was hopeless. In this situation, everything that came to my mind made me feel uncomfortable. At that moment, I just couldn’t let go of my attachments and take a further step forward. Instead, I was lost in my own feelings.

'On Christmas Eve, I was thinking about the Dafa practitioners in Mainland China who have become destitute and homeless in the bitter cold of winter. Although I live in Sweden, which is far from China, I feel my heart is closely linked with the hearts of the Mainland practitioners.'

“To put the Fa into our hearts" refers to our attitudes, whether or nor we regard our work or even our daily behaviour as part of our cultivation, or whether we put the Fa into our hearts at every moment, regard ourselves as practitioners at every moment and cultivate ourselves by the standard of the Fa. Just like the fellow practitioner said in Golden Buddha, "Doing Dafa work for long periods of time without thinking of anything else does not necessarily mean that a person is constantly in a state of mind of what a Dafa disciple should be."

For some of those who never obtained high-level education or those who had rarely written any articles, they might feel that it is hard to start writing and harder to write well. In fact it is not really so. The problem is that there is a notion that makes one feel this way. If you do not believe it, you can try to put your heart into learning to write, and then your writing skill is most likely to be better than what you thought it to be. If you feel that writing is difficult whenever you think about writing, you might indeed be blocked by your notion

One of the most notable characteristics of Jiang's persecution of Falun Gong is the spreading of lies. Jiang strives to justify, sustain and cover his persecution with outright and unchecked lies. The persecution against Falun Gong has become a plague upon the Chinese people worldwide. It is imperative and urgent for practitioners to expose the lies that justify and sustain the persecution, and to broadcast the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution, because the truth will help discourage the persecution and reduce the loss of lives.

The techniques and skills that are helpful for everyday people to understand the truth of Dafa can all be utilized by practitioners to increase the attraction and strength of our writing and pictures. What is important when Dafa practitioners clarify the truth is to use our hearts. Additionally our comprehensive and thorough understanding of the truth when we write articles is also important. Therefore, we don't need to go to extremes, and rigidly use or even attach to any one thing, because the formats are always secondary. By properly using the resources we have, we can double the effect with half the efforts.

Me: "The Chinese Consulate here just avoids this topic when you mention Falun Gong. Many Falun Gong practitioners come to the Consulate day and night every day to do the exercises, hand out leaflets and display banners in order to stop the persecution. More and more people are giving support to Falun Gong and many western people also practise it. Some staff from the Consulate say words to satisfy the government on the surface but say Falun Gong is good privately."
Man: (listening all along) "We are the same actually, we have to follow the government. You should try again to speak with the Chinese Consulate and get some information through them."

In the process of exposing the persecution of Falun Gong in the past four years, many of our practitioners have gradually deviated from the starting point of validating Dafa and saving people in terms of their thoughts and actions. Strongly fluctuating thoughts on the issue of Falun Gong's welcoming Wen Jiabao among our practitioners have revealed some problems of our own, and our impure thoughts and actions have brought about an incorrect effect to society. This article aims especially at clarifying some major issues at hand, so that we can walk our future path properly, in hopes that all Dafa practitioners will pay attention to this matter.

The purpose of writing articles is to validate Dafa and clarify the truth. If you cannot get the attention of readers, then you will not achieve the powerful effect of a Dafa disciple's article. If you can take a little more time, you can write as if you are facing a group of people who are waiting to learn the truth from your words. They are not like you. You are very familiar with many basic facts, including how force-feeding becomes a torture tactic and how painful that would be. To them, these are very far away and very hard for them to imagine.

Some practitioners probably think that the persecution has been going on for four years and so has our truth-clarification efforts, so people should have had a considerable understanding of the truth by now. Sometimes, they write news report as if they are writing for practitioners who already understand the truth. Actually, for the past four years a lot of truthful information has been made widely known. However, our news articles are written mainly for people who need to understand or further understand the truth, so we need to keep everyday readers' characteristics in mind.

Attending school does take time. How could it be that it won’t impact Dafa work? However, as I gradually gave up my human notions through Fa-study, I decided that no matter how I think things should be, as long as Fa says I should do the ordinary people’s work well, then I need to attend school or go to work. From my subsequent experience of going to school, I found out that attending school will not have negative impact upon Dafa work at all. Conversely, doing Dafa work will not have any negative impact upon ordinary people’s work either.

I now understood that if the Chinese consulate wanted to stop our radio program, then it is of outmost importance that Radio Falun Gong Time continues, to explain facts about Falun Gong and the persecution. Clearly, they are very scared when we expose all what they want to conceal to the surrounding world, and they are afraid of the truth we broadcast which can reach thousands of people and change their hearts, especially now when it is possible to listen to the program live, on the Internet, around the entire world.

Using the media is a quick way to expose the evil and people on a large scale. Almost two years have passed since we established “ World Falun Dafa Radio” on the 4th of Jan. 2002 in Gothenburg, Sweden. From conception to launch, from one language to the three languages that we use to explain the facts to people, this process has not been plain sailing. Under the guidance of our respected Master’s teaching, every member of the (radio) team is strict with themselves according the standard of the Fa, in improving our character.

When doing Dafa work, I often find one situation, namely, some practitioner “gives up” on another one. In other words, when a practitioner sees another person having some attachments for a long time, he will therefore think that it’s impossible for him to give them up. Thus, when we hold activities, the practitioner who has “given up”on another might say, “If you ask that practitioner to join the activity, he will have such and such reactions. I just know him!”

One day when I was working in a kindergarten, another teacher was busy writing notices to the parents before the classes ended. Since I did not have anything to do, I decided to sweep the floor. Since sweeping the floor was actually the responsibility of this teacher, what I decided to do would make others feel it was a compassionate action. When I was sweeping the floor, I started realizing that the mind-set that led to the decision was not pure.

For a long time I had felt that the best way to clarify the truth and save people was to do it directly face to face through passing out materials, collecting signatures etc. I would even think working with websites, radio and TV was a waste of time. But now after I have gained a deeper understanding I have totally changed my view. Through being a part of the Radio program “Falun Gong time” ( A weekly program transmitted in Sweden) it has been a process for me to really get an understanding of how important and precious our Dafa media is.

I feel the prevailing viewpoint that fellow practitioners hold about secret agents is still confined to the attitudes of everyday people such as “wickedness”, “injustice”, and “defence”. There is no intention of saving them at all. The best way to improve an environment is to improve ourselves. While some people say the society is a big dye-vat, we should ask ourselves why, after such a long time, we still fail to dye those secret agents with the beautiful colors of truthfulness, benevolence and forbearance.

In Year 2001, the Gothenburg Fa Conference marked the beginning of the practice of holding two pan-European Fa Conferences per year, i.e., after the Geneva Fahui in the Spring, a further one is held in the summer or autumn of the same year. In 2002 we were in Copenhagen, this year we gather in Berlin.

If one does not seriously consider one's readership before writing an article, the article will reflect this, and as a result, the article might not be understandable to all readers. There might be some words for practitioners, some words targeting everyday people, and some targeting those misguided people who persecute us. Consequently, the article may not have the greatest effect because it doesn't focus on one type of reader.

I immediately became aware that this was the Fa working. We then considered the idea that the leaflets could be spread throughout Ireland, and if we were diligent in our cultivation and maintained a state of righteousness and righteous thinking, then everything would fall into place. It was obvious that a system of library distribution was up and running in each Irish county and it was wide open to be tapped into.

In recent times, a series of xinxing problems arose, and I didn’t conduct my character well. Because I hadn’t upgraded my character, the tribulations became bigger and bigger. I indulged myself in small things, gradually they developed into bigger problems. For several times, I didn’t pass the tests. I lost my rationality, hence I indulged myself in demon nature; only then did I became gradually vigilant and start to examine myself deeply and look inward deeply.

I knew that Falun Gong was being persecuted when I was in China and my parents do know that Falun Dafa is good. However, Jiang’s regime persecutes Falun Gong, and has also spread slanderous rumours throughout the world. Under this pressure from the Chinese government, I didn’t get a chance to learn more about what Falun Gong was. Then I got a visa to come to Ireland. I knew a lady when I was in China and her daughter was in Ireland, so she asked her daughter to look after me when I arrived. I was moved by her warm-heartedness, I think she really is a good person. When I arrived in Ireland, she came to collect me from the airport. Since that second I felt I had a special predestined relationship with Ireland and didn’t feel lonely at all. Both this lady and her daughter are Dafa practitioners.

I remember at the beginning of my entering the college, most of the Chinese classmates had never met with Dafa disciples. When I wore my Dafa clothes on entering the classroom for the first time, everyone went dead silent, quietly looking at me. I knew I needed to use my concrete actions to validate Dafa in the near future. Everyday I arrived the classroom a couple of minutes early, cleaned the blackboard and tidied up the desks and chairs in the room. I always warmly greeted my classmates first upon meeting them. I never got cross with them even if they did not respond to me.

With the extensive media coverage, Hsiao-kai Lin, who was illegally detained by China, was eventually released. However, many mainland wives of Taiwanese citizens are still being illegally detained in mainland China. They are just good people striving to live up to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. It is unbelievable that these people are being treated as criminals.

The French Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference was held in Paris on the 26th of October, 2003, with more than 150 practitioners in attendance. The auditorium was sacredly decorated. In the background Master’s portrait was displayed, with two colorful Falun emblem banners hanging on either side.

When reading classical Chinese literature, such as Shijing (Also called “The Book of Songs,” this is the earliest collection of Chinese poems including 305 poems of the Zhou Dynasty, 1122-256 B.C.) and Shen Xian Chuan (A collection of stories about celestial beings in ancient China) I found that ancient people chronicled events with a peaceful mind. They seldom used words and expressions steeped in emotion. No wonder Confucius said: “Among the three hundred poems, one sentence can cover all of them, i.e., the thought must be pure and righteous.”

It is my personal understanding that whatever problem we come across and no matter what the situation, it is likely to be linked to our own attachments. I have found myself more frequently in situations in which I was constantly being criticized. Though it was hard not to become upset by it, I did learn to become more patient as fellow practitioners pointed out my attachments according to their perspectives.

Mother's health was getting better day-by-day. She insisted on leaving the hospital. I asked my brothers, sisters and other relatives and they also hoped to get mother out of the hospital. So I went to the doctor again. He also noticed the changes in my mother and said he would decide when the X ray test results come out. When the test results came out, the doctor was very surprised. The cancer tissue, which had earlier spread to the lungs, had now disappeared. The lung X-ray was clear and the cancerous bump had disappeared.

I remember that I had all kinds of deep and apparent attachments in the beginning of my cultivation. The relationship among my family members and my colleagues was very tense, and it seemed that I was in trouble all the time. But at that time I treated Dafa cultivation with a very sincere and pure heart. My only wish of cultivation was to return to my original, true self. With the gradual elimination of my attachments, my interpersonal relationship was getting better, and it was getting easy for me to create harmonious atmosphere.

As particles of Dafa it should be only natural to do so and from that perspective there should not be a need to push or pressure each other into doing so. It is my understanding that Master has never pressured us into anything, so why should we practitioners act differently when it comes to this? We all should be aware of the importance of the things we are doing today, but we cannot forget to cultivate ourselves in the midst of this.

Mr. Zheng, a Dafa practitioner, was arrested and imprisoned for raising awareness about the persecution. Upon entering his cell, the head of the cell immediately expressed his greetings, "All other cells have Falun Gong practitioners in them. I heard that Falun Gong is quite marvelous. Our cell is the only cell that doesn't have Falun Gong practitioners. How come they are just so unfair to our cell? It's wonderful now that you are here. Hurry up and teach me the exercises."

A simple Chinese character contains a lot of information. For instance, the Chinese character for “busy” is constructed by the character for “heart” on one side and “death” on the other. The character indicates that when a person gets “busy”, his or her “heart” tends to become “dead”. A man with dead heart is inclined to get into trouble. The Chinese word for “hurry” depicts a picture of a messy wasteland blanketed with weeds.

Usually we think from the "me" perspective, on an I-would-like-to-do-this-or-that basis. Unconsciously, our priority becomes our own understanding, cultivation state and feelings. By following this pattern of thinking, we then mistakenly consider what we have done, based on our own wishes, as done according to the Dafa standard and requirement. In other words, this kind of thought pattern, albeit with good intention, would make us try to get what we want from the "me" perspective.

It has been one year since I started practicing. As soon as I read Zhuan Falun I knew this book could really guide me to higher levels and all the way, I had no doubt about it. Sometimes I have really had a tough time, even wondering whether I can do this at all - if I really can manage to continue cultivation. At that time I have always felt that I just had no other choice but to continue, because this really is the path I want to take.

For me, the wish to get rid of attachments, stubborn desires for material gain preceded good results in terms of improving my physical and mental health in relation to practicing Falun Dafa. In a single month’s time all of my symptoms that I had due to an enlarged prostate were gone (it was 5 times its normal size previously), which allowed me to stop taking the medications that I had been told I would have to continue taking for the rest of my life. In a month’s time I stopped going to the chiropractor whom I usually saw weekly, because the pains in my leg and back disappeared.

The children were asked to name all the things they can think of when they hear the words “Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance”. It was very touching to see how the children were thinking about these simple, pure truths, about which, due to the unfavorable circumstances, they had very few opportunities to think about. They surprised us with their deep understanding, and even taught us some things.

My current understanding in proceeding with the lawsuit is to clarify the truth to as many people as we possibly can in a controlled way. I mean we can use one aspect of the persecution to clarify the truth to one person and another part to clarify the truth to another person, but every practitioner should be using this lawsuit to clarify the truth to as many people as possible each day

I would never have imagined that just after beginning to practice and read, my physical condition significantly improved. My family members all noticed that I was getting better every day. The symptoms of my illnesses disappeared one by one, and day by day my energy level rose. In a brief two-month period my health had all but returned. Even an egg-sized tumor that was growing in my armpit totally disappeared. I was immensely happy, and my whole family witnessed my healing process.

If you recognize that conflicts are caused by some attachments of yours or caused by the bad effect brought about by yourself, then why don’t you find the courage to take a step further and tell others about your shortcomings and hope everyone can advance together? In conflicts, in addition to daring to truly search oneself, one also needs to be honest from the bottom of one’s heart. See what will happen if one really has the sincerity to resolve conflicts?

When the police attempted to forbid her from practising Falun Gong, she said to them, "I am unable to live without Falun Gong." On the night before the sentence was going to be pronounced, she dreamed that she was wearing white clothes and lying on a bloody road. A gentleman came and helped her up. He told her that she would not die. The next day at the sentencing she was granted a reprieve. This sentence was totally unexpected.

"Selfishness" penetrated my whole cultivation practice; recently I could see my selfishness in a lot of areas. When encountering problems, I knew to look inside myself, but a lot of times I always stopped at blaming myself and still found an excuse for holding on to the remaining human attachments. Sometimes a word from other people or an event touched my remaining attachments and shook my heart, causing me to become angry.

For most practitioners, although we aren't directly involved in specific details of the legal work, our understanding of the lawsuit and the overall Fa-rectification process truly plays a decisive role. This is because our lawsuit is not an ordinary case. Its real driving force comes from our righteous thoughts. The judge's ruling is only a true reflection of Dafa practitioners' overall state.
