Ms. Wu Bilin, 62, Arrested Again and Sent to Chenjiaji Brainwashing Centre in Wuhan City

On March 10th, 2011, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wu Bilin was once again arrested at her home by Wuhan City police officers. She has been sent to Chenjiaji Brainwashing Centre. Over the 11 years of persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Ms. Wu has been arrested 13 times. Previously Ms. Wu was detained in the brainwashing centre for seven months. During this time, the Jiangan 610 Office (an organisation of special agents just for persecuting Falun Gong) head Hu Shaobin personally directed the mental and physical torture of Ms. Wu. He was unable to “transform” [forcibly renounce Falun Gong] Ms. Wu, so he used many cruel ways to torture her. -
Song Sisters Fengjiao and Caijiao from Tianmen City, Hubei Province Arrested
2011-04-16Sisters Ms. Song Fengjiao and Ms. Song Cuijiao were recently arrested by the police because they practise Falun Gong. The Song sisters gave Falun Gong materials to a household in Xiongjiadawan, Songda Village on March 23rd, 2011. The owner of the home was a village official. He had been out drinking. When he returned home, he saw a Falun Gong brochure and called the police, who arrested the sisters. That night the sisters were sent to the Tianmen Second Detention Centre where they are still detained. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Yu Zhujiang Tortured in Baoding Prison
2011-04-16Practitioner Mr. Yu Zhujiang was sentenced to ten years in prison in 2009. He was taken to the No. 11 section at Baoding Prison, where he was once handcuffed to a tree for refusing to do hard labour. In order to try to force him to give up his belief in Falun Gong, the guards took Mr. Yu to the No. 20 section in 2010 and brutally tortured him. Then, they ordered six inmates to closely monitor him around the clock and not let him talk to anyone. The instructor also instigated inmates to take turns beating Mr. Yu every day. As a result, his face became swollen and was covered with bruises. -
Jinzhong Guards Ordered Prisoners to Brutally Beat Mr. Wang Zhigang, Resulting in Blindness
2011-04-15Mr. Wang Zhigang started practising Falun Gong in 1996. Because the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been persecuting Falun Gong since 1999, Mr. Wang was arrested in 2008. He was sentenced to a three-year prison term and detained in Jinzhong Prison. This once healthy man became blind in his right eye and the sight in his left eye became blurry after brutal beatings by prisoners. -
Li Yi from Shenyang City Dies as a Result of Brutal Persecution
2011-04-15Falun Gong practitioner Li Yi was arrested and imprisoned many times after the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Gong. He was in critical condition twice. Mr. Li was finally taken home from the detention centre by his family, and died on March 26th, 2011 at age 42. In the Weigong Police Station five police officers tortured and interrogated Li Yi in an attempt to obtain a “confession” in April 2006. They did not allow Mr. Li to sleep for an entire day and night. They cuffed Li Yi's hands behind the back of a chair, and forcefully pressed his head down until he was sitting on the ground. The police put his legs together and began forcing his body into a stretch on the ground by pulling up on the handcuffs. Officer Yang Hai stomped on Li Yi's legs and kept his shoes rolling back and forth. An officer even tried to sit on top of Li Yi's back and used the heel of his shoe to kick his lower back very hard. His wrists were broken and he could not straighten his back or walk without help. -
Ms. Mao Xiulan from Gangu County, Gansu Province Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison
2011-04-15On January 28th, 2010, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Mao Xiulan was arrested from her home by National Security police officers from the Gangu County Public Security Bureau. She was detained at the Gangu County Detention Centre and later was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Ms. Mao is currently detained at the Jiuzhou Woman's Prison in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. Mao Xiulan has suffered two heart attacks during the imprisonment. The guards do not allow her family members to bring her anything during visitation and do not allow them to see Ms. Mao in person. -
Jilin Domestic Security Police Carry Out Break-ins and Arrests, Woman Left in Coma
2011-04-15Around 3 p.m. on November 15th, 2011, police officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Yushu City Police Department, Jilin Province broke into Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Ma Changqing's home. They confiscated over 30,000 yuan arrested him, and took him to the local detention centre. The stress of the sudden intrusion caused his wife Ms. Mu Chunbo to have a stroke. She has been in a coma for over four months. Medical expenses for her care total over 50,000 yuan. -
Daughter Calls for Justice After Father Is Persecuted to Death
2011-04-14February 26th, 2011, while the happiness of the Chinese New Year celebration continued, was the darkest day of my life. It was on this day that I received news that my father, Qin Yueming, was persecuted to death in Jiamusi Prison. My mother, sister and I sat still in disbelief. My father was very healthy, how could he die? I am most saddened that my father died so tragically and we didn't even know how he had died. His facial expression was very pained. His lips were purple. When we turned him, blood came out of his mouth and nose. His neck, back, waist and legs were dark and purple with areas of scars, as well. -
Ms. Wang Yufang, Paralysed Following Forced Drug Injection, Regains her Health After Continuing Her Practice of Falun Gong
2011-04-14Ms. Wang Yufang, once a colon cancer patient, recovered her health through practising Falun Gong. After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to persecute Falun Gong, she was arrested numerous times. Forced drug injection at the Jamusi Detention Centre led to her paralysis and memory loss. After release, Ms. Wang resumed practising the Falun Gong exercises and regained her health. “When I attended a Falun Gong experience sharing conference at Sifeng Mountain in June 2000, police arrested and took me to the Jiamusi Detention Centre. They forced me into a metal chair. An agent grabbed me by the hair with one hand, and struck my neck hard with the other hand. The pain was beyond description. They also tortured me with a method called 'Flying an Airplane.' “The torture made me have a heart attack." -
Authorities at Jiamusi Prison Refuse Medical Parole for Seriously Ill Mr. Fu Yu
2011-04-14In early March Jiamusi Prison informed Mr. Fu Yu's family that Mr. Fu was eligible for medical parole. Mr. Fu Yu's brother was asked to sign a statement that accused Mr. Fu Yu of having committed a crime. He refused to sign it, and told them that Mr. Fu Yu is a good person. On March 21st, Mr. Fu Yu's brother was allowed to see him. Mr. Fu was emaciated. The court sentenced Mr. Fu to a five year prison term in 2009 for telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Recently three practitioners were tortured to death in Jiamusi Prison: on February 26th, 47-year old Mr. Qin Yueming; on March 5th, 48-year old Mr. Yu Yungang; then, on March 8th, practitioner Mr. Liu Chuangjiang was persecuted to death. -
The Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Ding Suping from Xiangyang City, Hubei Province
2011-04-14Ms. Ding Suping started Falun Gong practice in late December 1997, and has been harassed and arrested multiple times since the onset of the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999. Police arrested her in October 2000 and took her to the Qilindian Brainwashing Centre. Two male guards pushed Ms. Ding down and made her kneel on the ground, and then kicked her in the buttocks and lower back, slapped her face, and grabbed her hair and hit her head against a wall. This prompted Ms. Ding to jump from the third floor. She sustained a commuted lumbar fracture, a ruptured liver, a ruptured gall bladder, and a fractured right wrist. Surgeons removed two-thirds of her gall bladder. She has not yet completely recovered, although ten years have passed. -
Older Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Sun Fudi Dies as a Result of the Persecution
2011-04-13Ms. Sun Fudi was arrested on the morning of June 23rd, 2009. She was given a two-year sentence and taken to the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp. She was brutally tortured and suffered excess fluid in her abdomen as a result of the persecution. In order to avoid being held responsible for her poor health, camp officials released Ms. Sun on April 20th, 2010. Ms. Sun passed away on the afternoon of April 2nd, 2011 at the age of 57. She had been arrested and incarcerated numerous times. -
Older Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Song Huilan Faces Amputation after Torture and Administration of Unknown Drugs
2011-04-13Ms. Song Huilan, 60, was again taken into custody by police on December 13th, 2010. She was injected with unknown drugs during the two months she was detained at the Tangyuan County Detention Centre. When her family came to take her home Ms. Song was in terrible condition, her body was stiff and her eyes were dazed, she could not speak, and her hands and legs were rigid and had lost all feeling. She was tortured to the point of losing her memory, and her legs and feet became black and necrotic. She is now facing the risk of amputation. -
Falun Gong Practitioner Mr. Sheng Yanqin Dying from Brutal Tortures at the Suihua Forced Labour Camp
2011-04-13Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Sheng Yanqin suffered from persecution at Suihua Forced Labour Camp from late 2009 to early 2011. He was tortured brutally. He began to have blood in his stool, swelling of his body, lost consciousness numerous times, and was on the verge of dying. To shirk responsibility for his condition, labour camp authorities ordered his family to take him home. -
Many Practitioners Recently Arrested In and Around Shijiazhuang City
2011-04-13According to a police insider, after the recent National People's Congress (NPC) and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (the two meetings are held at the same time and serve as the annual political convention for the Chinese Communist Party), the district and county police departments in and around Shijiazhuang City in China's Hebei Province received orders from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP): Every police station was to arrest at least one Falun Gong practitioner. Officers from 7 police departments harassed at least 24 families. At least 23 practitioners were arrested at home; nearly 20 of them are detained.
