Liu Chunye is a 36-year-old lady. After July 20, 1999, her family suffered great hardship after being fined 2000 Yuan. At the township office she was hung up with ropes and tortured, then further tortured at the Xuanhua Detention Centre. Her husband and children were terrified. She was forced to report to the village office three times per day.

While on the hunger strike, he suffered extremely brutal torture, as he had not revealed his identity. During the torture, three of his ribs were broken, and his feet were burned with a red-hot iron until they were blackened and couldn't be moved. All of his toe nails were burnt, split, and eventually fell off.

She frequently clarified the truth to people about the persecution. As a result, she was unjustly arrested again and illegally sentenced to eight years in prison. While she was incarcerated at Yangmahe Women's Prison in Jianyang City, Sichuan Province, she was subjected to brutal torture. Due to the relentless beatings, her lumbar vertebra was broken, leaving her in unimaginable pain and torment.

I'm glad to hear that your court has accepted the Genocide civil suit against Jiang Zemin filed by Falun Dafa practitioners and their relatives. My family and I, who live in Mainland China, have suffered both physical and psychological torture. Soon such unprecedented injustice will end and the truth will be exposed. The following statement is the true story of the brutal tortures my family and I have suffered, and I hope it can serve as part of the evidence for Jiang's crimes.

In July, the authorities in the Wujiabao camp increased their persecution against Dafa practitioners. The authorities said that the central committee had ordered and permitted a death quota. Within the quota, policemen could take no responsibility even if they had killed Dafa practitioners during their torture. Following this order, Wu Aidong organised more vicious tortures aimed at "reforming" Dafa practitioners in various brutal ways. Those atrocious scenes were too horrible to look at.

The pain from this unthinkable torture made me scream uncontrollably. After ten minutes, the officer was sweating from the effort required to twist and bore the crude object into my flesh, so another officer replaced him. Afterwards, the person who had held my head said that my eyes were rolling backwards. They thought I was dead.

The 70-year-old parents of Lu Renjuan were threatened and harassed by the authorities until they fell ill. The local government of Longkou City and Xiadingjia government often went to Lu Renjuan's home to confiscate her property, and they even entered the houses of her parents-in-law and sisters-in-law. Her poor mother could not endure the constant terror of this treatment and finally passed away.

The group leader, Jia Meili, said, "I want to sabotage Falun Dafa...I want to torture Falun Dafa practitioners. Don't let me find any pretext to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. I am not scared of going to hell."

One family member protested vehemently, and was finally allowed to go in after the court began its proceedings. When she cried, upon seeing her loved one, the court officials removed her for "disturbing the court". She was removed for such an excuse, when in fact she didn't even speak a word. She had only become saddened at the sight of her family member. Three other attendees were also forced out for attempting to wave at the practitioners whom they knew.

This courageous 63 year old lady had so benefitted from practising Falun Gong that she felt it was crucial to go to Beijing, to exercise her rights according to the Constitution, to stand up for belief in Truthfulness - Compassion - Tolearance. For this she was detained, and tragically passed away as a result of injuries sustained from the beatings she had received.

When the family members rushed to the crematorium, they found that Mr. Peng's originally strong body, had deteriorated as a result of over 10 days of torture. Peng Fangjian's body was emaciated, his bones were covered only by skin, his eyes were open wide and his facial expressions showed a feeling of great pain. His mouth was wide open as well;

Vicious policeman Zhang Xiaochu handcuffed female Dafa practitioners to a metal chair, took off their cotton-padded jackets, opened the windows and shouted, "I will freeze you to death. With the support of the government I don't really care if you want to sue me."

In order to cover up the facts of the murder, the cold-blooded police callously threw Chen Jianning off the 6th floor of the county police department. They wanted people to think that Chen jumped off the building. Afterwards, they changed Chen Jianning's bloody clothes. At that time Chen Jianning had 3,400 Yuan with him. Soon afterwards the police sent him to a funeral parlour for cremation.

Around April and May in 2001, she went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa and was arrested and held at a detention centre in Tianjin City, where she was subjected to brutal torture. She was once stripped of all her clothes and tied to a metal bed [commonly known as the "death bed"]. The police then heaped ice cubes on her body, forcing her to disclose her name and address.

Meng Guiying firmly resisted the persecution and refused to give up "Truthfulness-Compassion- Tolerance." She also protested the illegal persecution with a hunger strike and continuously clarified the truth with great compassion and tolerance. The police force-fed her,with no regard for her life and the feeding tube ruptured her lung, causing a lung infection.

The news also said the jail official claims Lan Hu wrote an appeal letter in which he "accused the top person in the government." Lan Hu's mother asked to see this letter but the jail official refused. An official from Changlin District People's Prosecuting Office refused to provide answers to the question, "Why did Lan Hu suffer circulatory and respiratory function failure after only four days on a hunger strike?" He said, "Ask the jail."

During the time Li was illegally detained and tortured in the labour camp, her life was endangered many times. Her health deteriorated to the extent that all of her vital systems began to shut down, yet the labour camp refused to release her.

Some practitioners really could not withstand the pain and thus signed the statement to agree to be "transformed." In the end, they were badly beaten until they agreed to "take the initiative to be transformed." The base rehabilitation police, however, told the family members of the Dafa practitioners who had inquired about them, "They are better off here than at home. They eat their fill of three meals everyday."

They claimed that Yang's muscles were atrophied and that he needed a "massage." Shortly after, Yang's miserable screaming could be heard by the entire Education Team. The guards' laughing and loud speaking could also be heard...What had actually happened was that the guards pushed Yang into an empty wardrobe used by the inmates, closed the door, and then beat him with batons and sticks. Poor Yang Lidong was beaten so badly that he lost control of his bowels.

Upon regaining consciousness she still did not cooperate, so the wicked police asked two drug addicts to drag her back and forth on the floor like a mop. She was nearly tortured to death. Once, the heartless police tied her up for five days. When she finally fainted from tremendous pain they untied the ropes, only to tie her up again when she regained consciousness.

On the morning of October 1st, around 8 a.m., I unfurled a 5-meter-long banner that said, "Falun Dafa is Good!" Several dozen police began beating me, some with long iron bars hidden in their sleeves to strike my head repeatedly. My head and entire body were bleeding. My clothes were soaked with blood. I passed out on the spot and was carried by the police to Beijing's Qianmen Police Station. The police threw me in a quiet place while I was still unconscious and left me for the night.

Practitioner Cao Xianghui was sent to the "attack team" twice. The first time she was tortured severely, to the point where she could not move her lower body. Later she was once again sent to the "attack team" for staging a hunger strike in protest. They tortured her day and night, and her cries of pain could be heard from her cell constantly. No person with any sense of humanity would not be moved by such scenes of horror.

Ms. Xu Lijuan and her husband are both laid-off workers, and are therefore in considerable financial difficulty. They have had to spend close to 10,000 Yuan to treat Ms. Xu, [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China] who remains listless, and has lost part of her memory. She cannot take care of herself. Because Ms. Xu's husband has to take care of her and also their daughter, who is in school, he cannot go out to work to earn money. He is extremely distressed and exhausted. The family has to rely on the financial help of their relatives in order to survive.

Demonic police in the detention centre also stapled Dafa practitioners' hands, stabbed their hands with toothpicks and then tore out the staples and toothpicks. They enjoyed torturing the practitioners and called it "acupuncture." We caution the perpetrators that justice will prevail for the crimes committed against Dafa practitioners; "what goes around, comes around."

Ms. Liu was an employee of the Shuangcheng City Beer Factory in Heilongjiang Province. On February 6, 2003, while peacefully distributing a New Year greetings card with the characters "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance" on it to a passenger in their own mini-van, she and her husband were reported to the police, who then unjustly took away the couple and their van. How could it be a crime to honour the values of Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance?

It wasn't until the noon of October 14 that the perpetrators notified Xiong's family members that she was dead. In order to escape responsibility, they lied to Xiong's family, claiming that she suffered from a high fever due to influenza and that they were not able to resuscitate her in time. When Xiong's family saw her corpse, her teeth were clenched tightly, her whole body was covered with bruises and injuries and her wrists showed deep marks from being hung with iron-chains. The state of her body was the proof of the vicious treatment she had been subjected to.

The means they used are a collection of various nation-wide evil methods, all of which are very vicious and base. Last June, a Dafa practitioner was killed at Ward No. 7 in the Dabei Women's Prison. At the end of 2002, over 10 Dafa practitioners had been persecuted to death. But the criminals who killed those practitioners are still protected by Jiang's power and haven't been punished yet. They still conduct crimes out of their desire for political self interest and monetary gain.

The next morning he dropped his disguise of a smiling face and revealed his vicious, real self. He continually slapped my face for the entire morning until it was all swollen. As he hit me, he snarled, "Will you be transformed or not?" I sternly replied, "I will not!" "If you are not transformed I'll hang you under the persimmon tree in the courtyard. In the past, they [he was referring to other Falun Gong practitioners] were all hung under that tree. Or I'll lock you up in a solitary room." When he saw that I was not intimidated, he sent for an electric baton and started to shock me with it.

Liu Shufen and Zhang Dezhen were being tortured together. Liu Shufen was the only witness to Zhang Dezhen's death. At that time, Liu Shufen was beaten until she lost consciousness. The guards deliberately sent her for brain surgery, saying that something must be wrong with her brain and forcibly carried her out of her cell. According to several Falun Dafa practitioners who witnessed the scene, she was breathing normally and her body temperature was also normal. She had just temporarily lost consciousness due to the beating. Liu Shufen died as a result of the surgery.

The police's slogan is: "As long as they are still breathing [referring to practitioners], the criminals can do whatever they want to torture them. But they should leave little or no trace on the surface of practitioners' bodies."… Some practitioners were tortured several times per day; some suffered more than one hundred heavy lashes a day. Practitioner Wang Jun was subjected to over two hours of beating and slapping every day. So extreme was his torment! Sub-human criminal Li Zhongqi said, "However intense is your pain, so too is my pleasure. I love torturing you each day."

This kind of behaviour is not only to persecute Falun Dafa, but also to insult those who wish to travel from this station. Perhaps the police have come to understand that this behaviour is not right, as they now hide out of sight to observe what is happening. They are no longer as blatant in their actions as they used to be, when they acted without any ethical consideration whatsoever. Their actions now show their fear.

The evil guards pressed him onto the floor and cuffed his arms and legs to the table's legs. Three to four guards shocked him using electric batons. Soon the entire hallway was filled with the stench of burnt skin and thick smoke. Such frightening scenes occurred often. About 20 other practitioners were tortured in the same way.

If the practitioners were sent into the section due to hunger strikes and other reasons, the police would apply excruciating persecution and torture on them as long as they did not give up Dafa. The amoral police would force practitioners who were supposed to be released from the camp to guarantee that they would never tell anyone what had happened in the camp before releasing them from the "severe watch section."

They have used all sorts of base methods, such as lying, putting pressure on the practitioners, and using material gains as bait. After being brainwashed, some practitioners, sadly, succumbed to the intense pressure and torture and became accomplices to the police officers in their conspiracy against their fellow practitioners. This is a great tragedy in this vicious persecution of Falun Dafa.

Zhang Ruixia has been unjustly and undeservedly sentenced to 8 years in prison, though she has not yet recovered from previous torture. Both legs are injured, and her health has suffered from the long-term detention and bad food. In the detention centre she has difficulty standing, and sometimes has to crawl to the washroom.

...My neck was swollen to the size of my head, my face was full of bloody blisters. My ears extended because of swelling. My lips were swollen and turned to the outside. When I took off my clothes, all the people were so stunned that many of them burst into tears and dared not look at me. On my breasts and under my armpits, were bruises and scars from wounds strung together like beads. My breasts swelled up and were too painful to be touched, my nipples were burnt black.

In order to get the "honour" of being named "civilized labour camp," the guards used faked guarantee letters for obeying camp regulations written by criminals, as if they had been written by Dafa practitioners. Every time when higher authorities came to inspect the labour camp, the guards carried severely injured Dafa practitioners away and hid them in cellars or pig pens.

They psychologically manipulated and tortured practitioners into making the repentance statement, and into slandering Falun Gong and the founder of Falun Gong in front of a video camera. When these friends and family visited, they were forced to express hatred, hostility, and opposition toward Falun Dafa. Otherwise, they were refused their right to visit these practitioners.

About 10 pm on February 9, 2002, Shuangcheng police went to his home to arrest Fu and his wife. The police tricked them by saying that they wanted some information, and would let them come back shortly after, but the couple has not been seen since then. Now, only the three children are at home, having to fend for themselves! The eldest one is 14 years old, the middle one is 5 years old, and the youngest is only 3 years old.

She was inhumanely tortured for a long time. A non-practitioner was locked up with her, and when this person came out, she told another Dafa practitioner how good Wang Fengwei was to her, and how Wang Fengwei cared about others. She saw with her own eyes how Wang Fengwei was severely tortured. Her body was extremely weak, and she could not manage to go to the toilet by herself. But the evil people did not care if she died or lived, and continued to shackle her for an extended period of time.

In order to force Zhang Xingyan to wear the jail's uniform, the depraved police tore his clothes (including pants and vest) into pieces. He was naked and held down by two criminals, while others assaulted him. He also suffered the wind blowing in from the open window while the temperature was --20 degree Celsius [-4oF] for three consecutive days and nights. He fell unconscious from the cold.

The practitioners also told the police officers that those who persecute practitioners would not avoid the consequences of "what goes around, comes around". The policemen did not take the kind advice from Dafa practitioners; instead, they said the practitioners were cursing them. After the practitioners were arrested and taken to the police station, all were inhumanly tortured, without mercy.

Practitioner Liu Guangqing was beaten and kicked by a guard named Zhang Yan for reciting Teacher's articles. He was kicked in the groin so viciously that the entire area turned black, blue, and purple colour, and he was in so much pain that he swayed back and forth. But police officers Zhu Zhenlai and Meng Xianliang actually said Liu was pretending.

Wang Fengqin was tortured to death around January 28, 2003. However, the cold-hearted perpetrators notified her family only after the Spring Festival. Wang Fengqin's family members saw that her clothes were stuck to her dead body and could not be removed. Her wrists showed clear marks from handcuffs. What she must have endured is hard to imagine. After extorting 1,000 Yuan from her family, the authorities cremated her body.

While in detention, Wang Shouhui was subjected to inhumane torture. Mr. Wang firmly resisted the evildoers by going on a hunger strike. The detention centre cruelly force-fed him, with no regard for his life, which led to his untimely death.

Afterwards, the vicious gang blocked the news. Li Guangya, Party Secretary of the China Academy of Launching Technology, and Wu Zhongren, secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, boasted of their experience and achievements in "reforming" Falun Gong practitioners in a summing-up meeting at the academy. They even shifted the responsibility for Ren Yufen's death to Falun Gong. They have chosen to follow Jiang's regime to its dead end. It is despicable and doleful.

The harmful environment and filthy language in the detention centre, as well as police's frequent beating of practitioners, mentally scarred this cheerful, pure, and innocent young girl. Already deeply hurt by her father's illegal detention, her suffering reached the extreme when faced with this violence and brutality.

Then they handcuffed my parents and forced them to go to a detention centre. It was a frightening scene! I didn't want them to go, but the strangers didn't listen. It's been two months since then. I miss my parents very much! My uncle went to the detention centre to try to get my parents to come home, but he was told, "Both were sentenced to forced labour education for three years.

When I was force-fed, I was pinned to the ground by four or five inmates. Such pressure on top of me made me feel like my internal organs were going to rupture. After the force-feeding, my whole body was usually covered with blood. From my own experience, I could imagine what kind of torment D3 must have endured.

The schools force all students to buy the books that slander Dafa. Taking advantage of the young students' lack of ability to differentiate between fact and fiction, the government takes all means to plant the seeds of hatred toward Falun Gong in their innocent minds.
