44-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xu Zhicheng was arrested at his home on September 23rd, 2005, tortured, and held in the No. 2 Detention Centre. In protest for his unjust incarceration Mr. Xu Zhicheng went on hunger strike from September 26th to October 2nd. The detention centre force-fed him once a day with up to a bag of salt with corn cereal or soybean powder. They injected this paste through a nasal feeding tube. He vomited blood after they inserted the tube. At midnight on October 2nd, the inmates reported for the third time that Mr. Xu was dying. Eventually he was driven to the hospital but was pronounced dead on October 3rd.

The number of confirmed death cases of Falun Gong practitioners from Heilongjiang Province is 336. This number is 12% of the total number of 2805 death cases in China. Daqing City accounts for the persecution-related deaths of 54 practitioners (2% of the total in China and 17% of the total in Heilongjiang Province). Wang Donghua, lieutenant governor of Heilongjiang Province, directly participated and directed the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Heilongjiang Province. He cannot escape responsibility for the crimes he has committed.

On the morning of April 5th, 2005, all practitioners detained in the Third and Fourth Sections of the Second Ward of Masanjia Forced Labour Camp took off their camp uniforms to declare that they were not criminals. On April 5th, 6th, and 7th, the cells were filled with the sounds of the guards beating practitioners and the practitioners' bitter screams. Some practitioners' heads and bodies were bleeding from being beaten with metal rods, and some practitioners had internal injuries.

I am Liu Jizhi, over 50 years old and one of the victims raped by police in Hebei Province. The incident has completely changed my life. As a woman, the experience of being raped was devastating. During 6 years of the persecution, many female practitioners have suffered and are still suffering the same torture and abuse.

On December 7th, 2003, police detained Mr Zhao Xudong at a detention centre. The prison guards directed prisoners to punch and kick him. Mr. Zhao suffered chest pain for a long time because of this. He went on a hunger strike to protest the abuse under the persecution and was barbarically force-fed. Around 5:00 p.m. on February 5th, 2004, after two hours of forced feeding, Mr. Zhao was moved to a bed board and surrounded by 7 or 8 prisoners. He was in critical condition and was sent to a hospital around 7:30 p.m. Mr. Zhao was pronounced dead on arrival.

On August 18th, 2005, in the brick factory, the prison guards forced Mr. Liu Shuiqing to do strenuous physical labour. Because Liu Shuiqing refused to cooperate, prison guard led others to punch and kick him. Upon seeing how the prison guards were beating him, other prisoners joined in the beating. As a result, Liu Shuiqing's ribs were fractured. The next day the guards knew that their beating had already severely injured Liu Shuiqing, but they still slapped his face. There was also a prison guard shouting threats including, "It is no big deal to beat one or two people to death in a prison."

Ms. Fang Guiming and Ms. Wang Xiuyun were 73-years-old and 63-years-old. Bullied and threatened by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), their family members detained them at home for a long time. Ms. Fang died in July 2001, and Ms. Wang in the spring of 2003. Although she protested repeatedly, Ms. Wang's family members still kept her locked in a cabin not even 18 square metres. She was deprived of all freedom, and she suffered severely both physically and psychologically.

In the past six years, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has brutally persecuted Falun Gong. 53-year-od Ms. Wang Xiuqing was detained several times. The warden in Heizuizi Labour Camp in Changchun City persecuted Ms Wang Xiuqing using all sorts of torture methods. Her health became poor as a result. The local police and the government officials continued the persecution, however, and after being raped and having suffered unbearable humiliation, Wang Xiuqing died on November 3rd, 2005.

Whenever female practitioners shouted, "Falun Dafa is great!" the male guards and the female brigade head would pounce on them. Some of them beat the practitioners, some dragged them, some gagged them, and some handcuffed them. When the practitioners continued to shout, they taped their mouths shut, wrapping tape around the head in several layers. Sometimes they gagged practitioners with a towel; sometimes they handcuffed practitioners to heating pipes for different periods of time. Then they locked the practitioners in confinement cells.

Prior to practising Falun Dafa, 40-year-old Ms. Zhang Zhen'e had Hepatitis B. Because she steadfastly practised Falun Dafa and cultivated according to the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," she regained her health. After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Dafa, Ms. Zhang went to Beijing to appeal. She was unjustly detained twice. Because of the persecution as well as her husband's continued misunderstanding of her after being deceived by CCP propaganda, Ms. Zhang Zhen'e had been under extreme psychological stress. Consequently, her old illnesses recurred and she passed away on December 8th, 2005.

Wang Shouliang is an agent of the Quanyang Forestry Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Political and Security Office in Jilin Province. In the past seven years, he has sent 23 innocent Falun Dafa practitioners to forced labour and detained countless other practitioners. Many families of Falun Dafa practitioners are suffering financial hardship because Wang Shouliang caused them to lose their jobs. Wang also is involved in pocketing money from practitioners' "security deposits," which many practitioners' family members had to go into debt to provide.

Ms. Liu Guiying was a 43-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner. Because someone betrayed her to the local police department in March 2002, she and another practitioner were arrested while she was walking down a street. Ms. Liu was held in the Mishan Detention Centre where she died from force-feeding on October 24th, 2002. Against the wishes of her family, her body was cremated on October 26th, 2002. This is her story.

Ms. Han Guangmei from was arrested on November 26th along with 18 other practitioners. Ma Zongtao, a 610 Office official beat Ms. Han for an entire night until she was at death's door and could not move her body. Her left leg was about twice the size as her right leg. Ma Zongtao said in a menacing voice, "I will certainly beat you to death tonight."

Former principal of a primary school fabricated the story that Falun Gong had caused Zhang Lieju to lose her mind and suffer a mental disorder and to meditate in the classroom. He made up a hoax by saying that he heard this from students' parents. He also accused Ms. Zhang as "not being responsible to students." Previously, Chen had often praised Ms. Zhang Lieju, "I never need to follow up on the work I give Ms. Zhang Lieju." Ms. Zhang used to be praised as an excellent teacher. But overnight, she was framed as suffering from mental disease, and this caused a negative effect on Dafa. Since then, wherever she went, people always tried to avoid her.

The Falun Gong practitioners in the newcomer group were managed by several criminals designated by the guards. They were forced to take off all their clothes before the two hundred detainees, and their clothes and luggage were searched. The Falun Gong practitioners were also forced to admit to the crime of "disturbing social order." Otherwise, it resulted in them being tortured. The Falun Gong practitioners also would undergo torture until they were "transformed" as required by the designated criminals. The torture methods included: remaining in a standing position for long periods of time, "taking a shower," sitting on a bench for long periods of time, and squatting while facing a wall for long periods of time.

On December 31st, 2003, I went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa and unfurled a banner that read, "Falun Dafa is Good." I was then sent to a Detention Centre where I was sentenced to one year of forced labour. I was then detained in the Chatou Forced Labour Camp, where I suffered from various types of torture such as physical punishment, humiliation, and psychological persecution. Among the tricks used to brainwash Falun Gong practitioners, they forced Falun Gong practitioners to sing, "The Same Song." If you refused to sing this song, it would be construed as being confrontational. Those who were "transformed" by force had to sing this very song.

After the Chinese New Year, a new official came to my prison team. She told me her thoughts when she monitored me, "All these years, the higher authorities asked us to 'reform' practitioners. After many years, I realized that we should educate and save people, yet we are persecuting you. You are actually very outstanding. We found that once you give up the practice, it is as if your spirit is destroyed. Therefore, some kind police officers on our team do not want to 'transform' you. But because they did not cooperate with the requests from officials, they were transferred to other teams without Falun Gong practitioners. Those who remained are all vicious."

Ms. Han Guangmei, a Falun Gong practitioner from Shandong Province, was arrested on November 26th, 2005, along with 18 other Falun Gong practitioners. Ma Zongtao, an officer from the Junan County "610 Office", tortured her severely for an entire night. She was not able to move, and her left leg was swollen. Ma Zongtao also threatened her by saying, "I will definitely beat you to death tonight."

A virtually unknown persecution incident took place at Northeast Normal University (NENU) in 2001 in Changchun City, Jilin Province. Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Guan used to work in the editorial department of the university's publication "Physics Experiments." Following his detention, people noticed that he always had his head bandaged and that he could not speak coherently. Still, the authorities did not stop persecuting him. He was later found dead at the base of a building. We are not certain at this stage how he fell and hope those who know will provide more information.

Ms. Zhao Fenglian suffered brutal persecution in the Lanzhou Women's Prison in Gansu Province. Because of torture, Zhao Fenglian was unable to eat for over four months before her death. The jail wardens nearly killed her during force-feeding of concentrated salt water, causing her to fall into unconsciousness. She passed away on December 22nd 2005.

The most critical brainwashing methods of the Centre are used. For example, the practitioners are forced to watch TV news, write "homework," take tests and recite 36 laws and regulations each day. They are also forced to watch a Dafa-slandering TV series and sing propaganda songs. Guards gave "law classes" that mostly slander Dafa. Zheng Tao wrote questions after the lecture for practitioners to take back to their room to discuss among themselves. Each practitioner is forced to give his standpoint, which is recorded by the completely brainwashed group head. The answers must conform to the brainwashing standards the Centre considers to be correct.

In a remote district of Chenzhou City in Hunan Province, there was a young fellow who reached eighteen years old and wanted to join the army to serve the county. At his first physical exam, he easily passed all the tests because he had a very good body and was 6-feet tall. However, during the final exam, which was a political exam involving an investigation of the political background of his family members, he failed, and was considered to be "unqualified" for military service. The reason for his failure was that his aunt practises Falun Dafa.

50-year-old Ms. Kong Genxiu was a Falun Dafa practitioner from Hebei Province. In 2002, she was detained by Communist Party officials and put into a brainwashing class. There, she was subjected to brainwashing and forced to write the "three statements" to renounce Falun Gong. Later, police from the 610 Office often harassed her at her home. In extreme terror, Ms. Kong was extorted out of 5,000 yuan. In 2004, Kong Genxiu developed a high fever and passed away.

Ms. Liu Xingyun, a 65-year-old practitioner, was a former Falun Gong volunteer coordinator. After the persecution began in July 1999, she suffered harassment and detention. Due to long-term persecution, in October 2005, Ms. Liu appeared to have heart and kidney failure and other symptoms, and her life was in danger. On November 17th 2005, police officials visited Ms. Liu at home and harassed her family. She passed away the next day.

Lawless officials in Beijing have been recruiting and mobilising police from different areas in China to go to Beijing to aid in the persecution of practitioners that travel there to expose the persecution about Falun Gong. The local guards invented inhuman and cruel methods of torture for practitioners that are steadfast in their beliefs. They categorised the secret and vicious torture of practitioners as "education," "reformation," and "salvation." Every practitioner who has ever been detained in the labour camp has suffered under these repugnant tortures.

According to inside information, Hezhuzhi Women's Labour Camp in Changchun City forces Dafa practitioners to make products as a means to persecute them. They force practitioners to make butterflies with feathers. The practitioners have to get up at 5:30 a.m., go to work right after breakfast and work until 8:00 p.m. They are forced to work for nearly 13 hours a day. The poisonous fumes given off from the glue make it difficult to breathe and are damaging to their health. The products are exported to Asia, Europe, America and Australia and are tainted with Dafa practitioners' blood and tears.

68-year-old Ms. Hou Leying was explaining the truth about Falun Dafa to people, when she was reported, and arrested by police She was subjected to several hours' persecution before she was released. The villains' wicked deeds traumatised her immensely. Ms. Hou Leying passed away on December 1st, 2005. Not long before, Ms. Wang Kaiping was arrested. She was as thin as a rake and often vomited blood. She passed away on August 21st, 2005.

"The Same Song", the show and the song, are wicked. It paints a peaceful picture for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime and is used as a tool by the evildoers to attack the spiritual side of Falun Gong practitioners. In labour camps, Falun Gong practitioners were forced to learn this song. Whenever a Falun Gong practitioner was transformed, the first thing he/she was forced to do was not to write any repentance or the pledge not to practise Falun Gong, but to sing this song together with former practitioners who had turned against Dafa, as well as the police.

The guards there use all kinds of cruel means to torture Dafa practitioners. The police have isolated all the steadfast Dafa practitioners and kept them under special surveillance. They used towels to gag practitioners' mouths, and tortured practitioners in various ways, such as kicking them in the lower back, sitting on their legs which were placed on a bench, burning their feet with cigarettes, hitting their heads with metal plates, force-feeding them with salt water, slapping their faces, and using tortures called "stewing the eagle" and "slippery shackle." As a result, several Dafa practitioners were injured.

In May 2005, simply for going on the Internet, Ms. Wang Yanying was persecuted by the company police and National Security personnel. Ms. Wang Yanying developed a psychological condition and sometimes entered a catatonic state. Ms. Wang Yanying is 43 years of age this year. She was pregnant when she was arrested and jailed in the psychiatric ward. She was forced to take medications and take injections of drugs for psychiatric treatment. Ms. Wang was not released until she was just about to go into labour. Later, she was tortured in a forced labour camp, during which time as many as twelve convicts struck her head with electric batons all at once.

Three elderly Falun Dafa practitioners in their 70s living in the Shunyi District, Beijing passed away as a result of the persecution they suffered. Mr. Liu Jingchen passed away in March 2003, at the age of 78, Ms. Shan Yonghua passed away in June 2001, at the age of 70, and Ms. Wang Yunfeng passed away in November 2002, at the age of 70. Since early 2005, Shunyi District officials have intensified the pressure to force Dafa practitioners to write the "three statements". Many practitioners were sentenced to forced labour immediately after police officers broke into their homes.

39-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Dai Zhijuan was the Senior Physician employed by the Dalian City Women and Children's Hospital in Liaoning Province. She had been arrested twice and taken to the Masanjia Forced Labour Camp, where she was subjected to all sorts of torture, such as being deprived of the right to sleep, forced to do heavy labour, injected with unknown drugs, etc. She was tortured nearly to death twice before being bailed out on medical parole. She died on December 21st, 2005. Her husband Yang Chuanjun (also a Falun Dafa practitioner) is now detained in Dalian City Prison.

Mr. Chen Wen, 75, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Hubei Province. About two or three months ago, he went to another town to tell people, who had been misled by the government propaganda, the facts about Falun Dafa and expose the persecution and passed away there. Someone who saw Chen's body said Chen's face was blue and purple, but it was not apparent if there were more wounds under his clothes. From what we have learned, there is a high probability that Mr. Chen had been followed on his trip to Yingcheng. There is speculation that Mr. Chen was beaten to death by the people who followed him.

In April 2001, authorities at the Shijiazhuang Forced Labour Camp attempted to violently "transform" all the Dafa practitioners in their custody. Practitioners were forced to stand on stools, wearing handcuffs and steel wire wrapped around their arms and secured to the ceiling, and then the stools were kicked out from under them. As they hung from the ceiling, the steel wires quickly cut into their arms to the bone, and blood flowed down the wire. If they still refused the so-called "transformation," the wardens would grab the practitioners and yank them downward with all their strength; many of the practitioners' arms were permanently damaged.

63-year-old Dafa Practitioner Mr. Jiang Zhongliang steadfastly practised Falun Dafa. He was detained by the unlawful staff of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) many times and was illegally fined and sentenced to forced labour, etc. After he was released from the forced labour camp, he was extremely emaciated. Mr. Jiang passed away around November of 2005 and the details still need to be investigated.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Luan Fusheng was arrested at home along with practitioners Ding Lihong (who was later tortured to death) and Wang Xinzhong in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province. Luan Fusheng was sentenced to 11 years in prison and is being held at a prison in Taiyuan City. Luan Fusheng is paralysed and emaciated. He is extremely weak and is at the brink of death.

55-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Du Jinglan was tortured for a long time at the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison and died from torture on October 23rd, 2005. The guards are extremely cruel to Dafa practitioners. One guard said to the practitioners, "If you die [from torture], we'll throw your body over the wall and tell people that you died from natural causes." In order to cover up the facts of her death, the authorities from the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison lied to her family.

Ms. Wei Jianyu was a lecturer at the Fujian University of Technology. Since July 20th 1999, Ms. Wei has had her home ransacked on many occasions and has suffered brutal persecution. In April of 2000, she was arrested and detained for her belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance." She was sentenced to four years in prison at the Fujian Province Women's Prison. In November 2003, Ms. Wei became very skinny and emaciated due to the torture at the prison. In November of 2004, after she had been home for about half a year, Ms. Wei was once again taken from her home, simply because she practised the Falun Gong exercises outside. She was detained in the Fuzhou Forced Labour Camp for a year.

Since April 2005, 610 Office agents in Rong County have arrested 11 Falun Dafa Practitioners. The 610 office agents also ransacked over 20 homes. Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Lu Guifang, in her seventies, was sentenced to four years of incarceration. The officers arrested the elderly Ms. Lu Guifang, detained her and tortured her. During the trial, she made a simple statement: "I did not do anything wrong. Our Falun Gong is to improve people; we did not do anything bad." She was given a four-year sentence.

Certain "610 Offices" in Hebei Province recently ordered local news agencies to prohibit the publication or broadcast of missing-persons ads looking for police rape victims, Ms. Han Yuzhi and Ms. Liu Jizhi. People find it strange and wonder why someone would want to ban small ads. As a result, more people are paying attention to the truth of the matter.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Yang Xiaojie is being held in a prison in Shijiazhuang City. He is paralysed from torture and cannot take care of himself. In 2003, prison brainwashing centre head ordered inmates to beat and kick Yang Xiaojie, which resulted in two of his teeth being knocked out. He went on a hunger strike and was viciously force-fed. The prison authorities did not grant any medical treatment and do not allow family visits. His anguished parents strongly urge the prison authorities to release Yang Xiaojie on medical parole.

Ms. Zhai Shuzhen is 46 years old. Since the nationwide crackdown against Falun Gong began in 1999, she has been persecuted in all kinds of ways for practising Falun Gong. She was brutally beaten into unconsciousness and her ribs were broken. The authorities also extorted money from her. Now she has lost her eyesight and is unable to take care of herself.

Falun Gong practitioner Liu Zhaojian had been locked up in a small cell in Jilin Prison for more than a year. The staff severely tortured him, and he lost weight until he was less than 90 pounds (40 kg). He was emaciated and hunchbacked. In 2005, they transferred Liu Zhaojian to Changchun Tiebei Prison, where he has been continuously persecuted. Liu Zhaojian has steadfastly refused to cooperate with his captors. Unfortunately, he developed symptoms of pulmonary tuberculosis and liver disease, and his condition worsened day by day. The 610 Office agents at Tiebei Prison were afraid of being held responsible if he died, so they unconditionally released him

Ms. Bao Liqun was a Falun Dafa practitioner and a mid-level police supervisor. On May 17th 2005, she was arrested when exposing the persecution and taken to the so-called "Guizhou Province Legal System Education Class", where she suffered forced brainwashing. In detention, Ms. Bao developed symptoms of severe sickness. When she was released, her situation worsened. Bao Liqun passed away on August 20th 2005.

Two ladies, one a retired accountant and the other a teacher regained complete health after they began to practise Falun Dafa. However, both exposed the persecution and were arrested detained and suffered severe long-term persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). As a result their illnesses returned and they both died; one in August 2005 and one in November.

69-year-old Mr. Li Xiaojing suffered from physical and mental persecution ever since former president Jiang Zemin's regime launched the suppression of Falun Gong. In May 2000, Chinese authorities imprisoned Mr. Li several times and extorted tens of thousands of yuan from him. Mr. Li's home was searched a dozen times and he was imprisoned for more than a month. The persecution has also harmed Li Xiaojing's children. Mr. Li was forced into homelessness in 2001 to avoid further persecution. He died on September 5th, 2005.

The Tianjin Iron Plant has continuously harassed and persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners in various ways. Their persecution tactics include offering heavy financial incentives for those who persecute practitioners, illegal tracking of practitioners, eavesdropping, camera monitoring, and other surveillance. As a result, many practitioners were unjustly detained or sentenced. The police in She County once threw female practitioners into male prison cells for 20 days. In addition, they once arrested four practitioners, and among them, one female practitioner has become paralysed due to torture and still lies motionless in the hospital today.

On November 4th, 2005, Falun Dafa practitioner was arrested while telling people, who had been misled by the government propaganda, the facts about Falun Dafa and exposing the persecution. She has been on a hunger strike ever since to protest, and her life is now in danger. She is being held in the Changchun City Police Hospital. Her life is sustained by intravenous injection. We have learned that the police department notified her employer, the Shuangyang District Hospital in Changchun City, but her employer refused to be involved, saying that they were "too busy."

Most of the detained practitioners are forced to prepare toothpicks and small sticks for food products. The young people are ordered to finish 25 boxes. Every box weighs 2.76 to 3.3 pounds. Elderly people are ordered to finish 15 to 20 boxes. They are supposed to work from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., but usually are forced to work until 10 or 11 p.m., sometimes even midnight. If anyone doesn't finish the work, he has to bring the unfinished work back in the cell. As punishment, the person has to do more work in addition to his unfinished work. Some people have to work until 3:30 a.m.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Guoying is in her 60s. Since being imprisoned in the Shaanxi Province Women's Forced Labour Camp in October 2005, she has been constantly suffering brutal persecution and is locked up as a so-called "strictly monitored target" on the 3rd floor of the labour camp. Her current condition is very urgent.
