The guards in the Second Women's Section force-fed those Falun Gong practitioners who protested by going on a hunger strike. For example, Ms. Zhu Yun was force-fed for thirteen months and finally, she could not control her bowels after the force feedings. Ms. Wang Manli's eyesight was blurry because of being force fed for six months through inserted tubes. But the guards did not lighten their persecution. Ms. Dong Jingya was force-fed three times per day and infused with five bottles of IV solution, which caused her face to swell up. The guards also tied some Falun Gong practitioners onto beds and force-fed them. They had to lie on the beds and get help from others when they relieved themselves.

Practitioner Ms. Wang Lanzhi, is about 49 years old. Her name is well known to all the prison guards and the few hundred inmates inside the prison; everyone knows her story. At present, Ms. Wang is in an extremely dangerous condition. Ms. Wang was sworn at or beaten every day since she arrived at the prison. The tortures have caused serious damage to her brain; she reacts very slowly and the expression in her eyes is dull. One time she jumped from a building after a day's work and nearly died from the injuries.

Officials at Majialong use inhuman torture methods to force practitioners to renounce Falun Dafa, such as "Stick to the Wall," in which the arms and legs of a practitioner are forced apart as much as possible, then the practitioner is forced to face a wall with his or her whole body pressed to it, until the practitioner chokes and falls. Another torture method is called "Bent at the Waist With Head Touching the Wall," in which a practitioner is forced to stand about half a metre from a wall and bend 90 degrees at the waist. The cap of an ink bottle is placed between the practitioner's head and the wall. Those in charge closely monitor the practitioner and prohibit any movement.

Mr. Sun Daye, 41 years old, practised Falun Dafa together with his wife. After the persecution began this couple went to Beijing twice in order to appeal for Dafa. Mr. Sun was detained and persecuted in the police station, the 610 Office, the brainwashing centre, and the detention centre many times. His home was illegally searched, and he was badly beaten, threatened, fined, and otherwise disturbed. He was greatly hurt both spiritually and physically. On June 29th, 2003, he died from a recurrence of his former disease.

On September 13th, 2005, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Xiong Jiwei was brutally beaten in Fanjiatai Prison. Prison guards brutally kicked his chest with their leather boots. This cruel beating lasted over 20 minutes. The Prison Director and Prison Doctor witnessed the beating, plus many guards were right outside the metal bars. Not a single person tried to stop such brutality. For the next two weeks, Mr. Xiong Jiwei's body was covered with bruises, and he experienced extreme pain whenever he coughed.

The police illegally arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Mrs. Chen Jianhua on May 20th, 2005, when she was distributing materials exposing the persecution. Mrs. Chen was savagely tortured in detention and died. On August 20th, the police told her family to claim her body. The authorities proposed to pay her family, represented by her husband, 300,000 yuan in exchange for their silence regarding Chen Jianhua's death.

There are many persecution cases indicating that the force-feeding of Falun Gong practitioners in forced labour camps takes place not out of humanity, but rather is intended as one of the most brutal methods of torturing those who hold hunger strikes. With this method, a thick and dirty tube, without lubrication, is inserted repeatedly into a practitioner, first through one nostril many times, then taken out and inserted into the other nostril. During this process, the tube is intentionally pulled out and pushed back down to intensify the torture. These actions cause the hunger striker to experience nausea, a choking sensation, violent coughing, and also excruciating pain.

58-year-old Ms. Yu Caihua experienced her illnesses being cured since she practised Falun Dafa. Since July 20th, 1999, when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Dafa, the party members in the town prohibited her from practising and often harassed her. Her husband was frightened by the party's ever-changing political movements and also stopped her from practising. He beat her until his hands hurt. Ms. Yu was forced to rent other land to farm. The farmers recall that they repeatedly saw several persons arresting Ms. Yu while she was working the land. Since Ms. Yu suffered for so long from the terror and persecution, in 2001 her health deteriorated, and she died soon thereafter.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mrs. Fu Guiying and her family in Inner Mongolia, persisted in practising Dafa and were often persecuted. She and her husband were arrested and held at a labour camp. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) secretary forced their young daughter, Zhang Yichao, to write a weekly statement at school to cut off her relationship with her parents. She was ousted from school and had to work to provide for herself. She passed away on April 6th, 2005. Due to long-term persecution her mother, Ms. Fu Guiying, died on December 17th, 2005.

On the evening of December 2nd, 2005, the homeless Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Hurui was arrested on her way to her mother's house. It was not the first time she had been arrested. The policemen drove three police cars to her mother's restaurant and arrested Ms. Li without showing any documents. The detention and torture made her blood pressure rise to a dangerous level. Now, her life is at risk. To avoid being blamed police asked her family to take her home on December 10th, 2005. However, the police still go to her house every day to harass her.

Falun Dafa practitioners held in the Jilin Province Prison are suffering from severe torture every day. Especially in the Third Division, prison guards have purposefully made the living conditions very odious. Within only 160 square metres, they hold 160 practitioners. Sometimes practitioners could only get one cup of water to drink at night. The persecution in the prison is continuing and the prison guards are doing bad things every day.

In 2001, while imprisoned in Xinhua Jail in Mianyang, the wardens left drug addicts to monitor Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Lin. They exposed him to the snow during winter and the scorching sun in summer. Wardens Wei Ze and Zhao Yong encouraged the detainees to beat him. He was only allowed two to three hours of sleep a day. A female police officer told him, "I thought you were dead."

Mr. Gan Guoping, 41 years old, went to appeal at the Beijing National Appeals Office in December 2000. He was arrested and Mr. Gan was brought back to the Neijiang Detention Centre. During his detention, he was tortured and harassed by the police, and he was forced to pay the travel expenses of the 610 officers and police for bringing him back. The total cost was several thousand yuan. He was arrested again later. During the persecution, Mr. Gan Guoping suffered severely both mentally and physically. In December 2004, he was diagnosed with terminal cirrhosis of the liver. He passed away on December 17th, 2005.

Someone reported Liao Youyuan on June 14th, 2005, when he was telling people, who had been misled by the government propaganda, the facts about Falun Dafa. Police officers arrested him, searched him, and beat him. Close to evening, a group of police ransacked Liao Youyuan's home and sent him to a detention centre. They threatened his family and demanded money from them. His family refused to give the police extortion money. They sent Liao Youyuan to the Xinkaipu Forced Labour Camp in Changsha City on July 8th, 2005, where Mr. Liao was later tortured to death on December 18th, 2005.

74-year-old Mr. Fan Weihui persisted in exposing the persecution of Falun Gong and validated Dafa, from which he had personally gained benefits. On April 17th 2002, he was arrested by officials who disregarded the law. He was then sentenced to a long jail term by officials of the Chinese Communist Party. On December 7th, 2005, Mr. Fan Weihuai was found to be suffering from terminal liver cancer in jail. The jail authorities knew he was close to death, so in order to shift the responsibility, they released him. Mr. Fan Weihui passed away on December 12th, 2005.

The 610 Office and the local Judicial Department arrested 73-year-old Mr. Su Guohua many times. The authorities once handcuffed Mr. Su to a big tree and then shocked him with electric batons. Mr. Su always refused to sign any repentance statement, admitting remorse for practising Falun Gong so the authorities constantly harassed him. The vicious torture and persecution took Mr. Su's life in December 2003.
Because of the torture, the long-term persecution and the constant harassment, Mr. Su left this world in December 2003.

In order to "transform" practitioners, guard Li Qi poisoned them using strong drugs to put them in a deathtrap. Prisoner Cao Jiemei was ordered to force-feed practitioner Ms. Liu a bowl of liquid that contained a nerve-damaging drug and a strong poison (provided by Li Qi) in front of another prisoner. Within minutes Ms. Liu Jingli felt intense pains in her abdomen and then vomited blood. Two hours later, she started hallucinating. The next morning, when she wiped her teeth with some tissue, the poison turned the paper green.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhao Shuying has been suffering from the brutality of slave labour in the Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp and also from severe torture by guards. Her physical body is extremely weak and she suffers from urinary incontinence, is frequently dizzy and often loses consciousness. The guard Wei Hongling is still constantly threatening Ms. Zhao, "If we cannot find the cause of your illness, we will not let you go."

The deputy director from Daqing City said, "How can we be called the Chinese Communist Party's police if we do not torture? So as long as we think you are the one who did it, you must admit it whether you really did it or not. We will push you down to the ground and four police officers will use rubber hoses to beat you one by one for half an hour. Your back will be swollen an inch high. It will be worse when your body is bruised and lacerated. Then we will put salt on your back and step on your wounds. Who will not confess after suffering from this?

Ms. Zhou Shuying died of persecution by the local 610 Office and police on December 24th, 2004. Han Zhiguang, head of the 610 Office in Langfang City, Hebei Province, stopped at nothing in his attempt to brainwash and "transform" Dafa practitioners. He even made up a story about deceased practitioner Zhou Shuying. He distorted the facts to deceive practitioners forced to undergo brainwashing sessions. He maintained that Ms. Zhou died because she refused to take medicine after practising Falun Gong.

Mr. Xue Yutian was around fifty-six years old. Before Mr. Xue Yutian started to practise Falun Dafa, he was so ill that he had totally lost his ability to take care of himself. In order to treat his illnesses, he was overloaded with debt. In May 1997, Mr. Xue Yutian started to practise Falun Dafa. He gradually regained his health and he could do almost all kinds of farm work by the autumn of 1997. After the persecution started local village Chinese Communist Party members tried to force Mr. Xue Yutian to give up Falun Dafa numerous times, leading to the recurrence of his old illnesses. Finally, Mr. Xue Yutian passed away in the middle of November 2005.

On April 8th, 2000, when Mr. Yu and other fellow practitioners went to Baoding to share experiences, he was arrested and sent to the upper level of the Dazu County Supply and Marketing Cooperative Hotel. He was beaten by Li Fei, the chief of the First Section of the Dazu Police Station, and was pushed down to his knees. After a 1,000 yuan fine was taken from him, he was released to go home. The temporary housing he lived in was ransacked by over 10 people from the town government and the local police station.

Liu Zhenguo refused to give up the practice, so the security agents from the 2nd Department of Huabei Petroleum unconstitutionally detained him for 15 days. During the detention, they tried to force Mr. Liu to curse others. They beat and cursed him and forced him to perform heavy labour. The authorities extorted 1,000 yuan [Chinese currency] from Mr. Liu. Later, the lawless police continued to harass and threaten him with phone calls. Under the relentless persecution, Liu Zhenguo passed away on May 4, 2005.

The prison guards prohibit steadfast Falun Dafa practitioners from going to the bathroom or taking a shower. They even prohibit female Falun Dafa practitioners from using bathroom tissue. When a Falun Dafa practitioner refuses to give up their cultivation, they lock her up alone in a little room and force her to watch videos that defame Falun Dafa twenty-four hours a day. The practitioner is forced to stand up and is not permitted to sleep for an extended period.

They did not allow me to sleep for many days, and they did not allow me to take a shower or use the restroom. I was forced to sit on a small stool. They forced me to listen to a brainwashing programme with earphones and watch a brainwashing programme on TV. They shocked me with electric batons, handcuffed me, and forced me to squat. Zhang Jindi threatened to send me to prison if I did not "transform." Lin said, "If you die, we will declare that you died from practising Falun Gong."

The guards again handcuffed Mr. Zhang to the headboard of a bed in a position where he could not squat or stand up for 26 days. As a result, Mr. Zhang's wrists became swollen and infected. On day 27, guard Zheng Jihua instructed four inmates to torture Mr. Zhang from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Mr. Zhang had excruciating pain in his arms. His clothing and the floor around him became wet because he sweat profusely.

The police tortured Ma Wensheng with the method known as "the big hang-up", among other methods. They beat Ma Wensheng until his legs were broken and his body became deformed. On the morning of October 20th, the police told Ma Wensheng's brother that Ma Wensheng was hospitalized in the Qiqihar City Railroad Hospital. His brother saw an unconscious Ma Wensheng at the hospital. He passed away before his brother could get food and soap, a towel and some other things for him.

53-year-old Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Long Lianqiu went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa twice during 2001. Police arrested her and detained her. During 2002, the police harassed her at home on numerous occasions, also arrested her and forced her to work with other prisoners for more than 12 hours a day. She became ill because of this inhumane treatment. Later police took her to a brainwashing centre. After receiving brutal treatment, she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and developed hemiplegia. She finally died on September 11th, 2005.

Ms. Cui Wenxia, 45, is from Baoquanling, Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province. She was arrested in April 2005 and jailed in a local detention centre. In May 2005, she was sent to the Seventh Team of the Fifth Division in Jiamusi Forced Labour Camp. In July and August, she and a 64-year-old practitioner, Ms. Sun Shuzhi, were forced by policemen to carry practitioner Ms. Niu Yuhuan. This practitioner had been so severely tortured that she could not walk by herself.

71-Year-Old Mr. Lai Changming was arrested in October 2000 while he was on his way to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. Police sent him to Xinzhou Detention Centre and forced him to go to the Liuji Brainwashing Centre at a cost of over 3000 yuan. After he returned home, local policemen and other perpetrators frequently came to his home to harass and threaten him, keeping him from his practice of Falun Gong. He died in 2005.

In 2000, Mr. Bai and his wife went to Beijing to protest against the persecution of Falun Gong. As soon as they returned to their home, the police arrested them and left behind their little girl, Bai He, who had not yet turned five at the time. The girl called out for her mum and dad in a panic, "Mummy, Daddy," but the police ignored her pleas. They arrested Bai He's parents and took them away. The neighbours did not dare to help out, except for another Falun Gong practitioner, W, who quietly took the child home. The police came and yelled at W, "Give up the child right now, or I will arrest you." The police indeed arrested W and sent her to a labour camp, falsely charging her with "disturbing the social order."

Police officer Qiao Ping was very active and did his utmost to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners in Aimin district. Later he was transferred to the City Police Department to specifically persecute Falun Dafa. Police officer Li Fu from the city Police Department has been persecuting Falun Dafa since 1999. It is reported that these two officers are the ones responsible for cruelly torturing and murdering Ms. Ye. We hope people who know inside details of Ms. Ye's death provide information about the incident. The murderers must be punished and justice must be served.

On June 25th 2004, police from Shulan City arrested Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yu Shujin from Yongji County, Jilin Province. He was tortured until he developed liver cirrhosis and abdominal fluid retention after twenty days of detention. In December 2004, a Shulan City Court sentenced him to twelve years in prison and sent him to the Tiebei Prison in Changchun City for further persecution. He was at the brink of death.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Fei Chongrun spoke to a man about the persecution of Falun Dafa whilst in a shop. The shop owner turned him in to the police. The police arrived and quickly closed the shutters before beating Fei Chongrun to death. There are many injuries on different places on Fei Chongrun's body. Two of his front teeth are missing and one tooth is broken. His wounds show that Fei Chongrun sustained bodily injuries in the front and back, and on both the right and left sides. Fei Chongrun is survived by his three-month-old daughter, and his unemployed wife. Right now, the police are refusing to conduct an investigation.

53-year-old Practitioner Mr. Wang Shihai was from Tianjin City. In June 2002, Mr. Wang's house was ransacked by police officers. He was taken to the police station, where he was yelled at, beaten, and starved. Mr. Wang was mentally traumatised and his blood pressure rose to over 200. Later Mr. Wang was detained for one month. After he returned home, police officers constantly went to his house to harass him. Mr. Wang's mind was severely disturbed and his health condition worsened. Finally he passed away in July 2005.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Tang Zhiqiang changed from being a disabled person who could not take care of himself into a healthy and confident person after practising Falun Dafa. Because he persisted in his belief in Falun Dafa, the lawless Communist Party officials detained him, ransacked his home, and threatened and harassed him, which caused his health to deteriorate. On March 29th, 2004, the police arrested Tang Zhiqiang when he was making materials exposing the perscution. The police officers took turns beating, kicking and insulting him throughout the night. They sent Tang Zhiqiang to a detention centre and held him there for more than five months. Tang Zhiqiang passed away on December 9th, 2005 at the age of 40.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Dang Aimin has been arrested, detained, sentenced to forced labour, subjected to brainwashing and brutally tortured several times since July 20th, 1999, merely because he believes in Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. In a detention centre guards ordered criminal detainees to use three-inch-long needles to stab his body and face. He was stabbed over 100 times. He was bleeding badly, yet the guards kept asking, "Will you still practise Falun Gong? If so, we will keep stabbing you."

In December 2000, Ms. Tang Jinai went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. She was two months into her first pregnancy. Local police arrested her. When they realised she was pregnant police dragged her to a van. One of them said, "We are from the Family Planning Office in Zengcheng. We heard you are pregnant. We checked with the Family Planning Office and discovered that you did not apply for the right to get pregnant and you are not included in the quota for allowed pregnancies. They blatantly lied, "In Zengcheng one must be granted the right to be counted under the quota before becoming pregnant and getting a birth permit!" Then they took her to the Family Planning Office. Five to six males held her on the operating table for a forced abortion!

Mr. Cheng Jinsheng was a seventy-two-year-old practitioner. He and his wife, also a practitioner, were reported when they were handing out materials exposing the persecution in a supermarket. Police took Mr. Cheng to a detention centre and imprisoned him. He was forced to work for more than ten hours every day and had to sleep on a cold concrete floor. His health quickly deteriorated. When he came home he could no longer walk and had to rely on crutches. In May 2001 police came and took his wife away to a brainwashing session. Mr. Cheng was overcome with anxiety and was bedridden. His health continued to decline and he passed away on December 15th, 2004.

Practitioner Ms. Li Xiaohua, in her 40s, was a primary school teacher. On November 17th, 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal and was arrested. She was severely injured from a beating sustained in custody, and her head swelled. Ms. Li was detained in the local detention centre and then later sentenced to forced labour at the Gaoyang Forced Labour Camp. She was rejected by the camp because she had high blood pressure sustained from torture. Ms. Li was detained in the detention centre until her relatives helped to get her released on medical parole. The 610 Office members and State Security Agents constantly harassed Ms. Li at her home until she died on January 2nd, 2002.

I am a Falun Gong practitioner sentenced to forced labour. When I was sent to Shibalihe Women's Forced Labour Camp I saw the words, "Rescue, Educate and Influence [through love and care]," the slogan the labour camp brandishes. While being held at Division 3, however, I experienced various tortures in this hell on earth! The guards use base and cruel methods to "reform" Falun Gong practitioners. The administrators of the labour camp don't hold back on their barbarism.

Mr. Liu Hejun, 73, was a retired teacher from Sichuan Province. Mr. Liu began Falun Dafa cultivation in August 1996. Less than one month after starting to practise all of his illnesses disappeared. Mr. Liu went to Beijing in December 2000 to appeal for Dafa and was detained for one month. Later, some vicious party members continuously went to his home to harass him and suspended his pension for several months. Mr. Liu passed away in the winter of 2002.

A 610 Office member and several local police officers arrested Dafa practitioner Cui Shimin. Four policemen carried him away from his home in a police car and injured his back. Later on, he was sent to Tieling Forced Labour Camp. On November 5th, 2005, because Cui Shimin didn't report when his number was called, and Falun Gong practitioner Liu Zhenguo stepped forward and urged the chief warden not to beat people, corrections officers beat them both. Officer Wang Guijun beat Liu Zhenguo, whose mouth was left bleeding. Mr. Liu's eyes were blackened, and his chest hurt badly.

During the past six years, the Chinese Communist Party has brutally persecuted Falun Gong. Ms. Wang Xiuqing is one of the millions of practitioners affected by this persecution. She has been arrested four times, subjected to brainwashing twice, and detained in the Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp in Changchun once. The long-term persecution affected Ms. Wang physically and psychologically, and it took her life on November 3rd, 2005.

Because she is firm in her belief in Falun Gong, police arrested 40-year-old Ms. Han Yuejuan in June 2001. She was held in a detention centre for two years. She was not allowed family visits nor given representation by a lawyer. Han Yuejuan was then sentenced to six years in prison. During the court proceedings, Ms. Han was asked about her understanding of Falun Dafa. Ms. Han said, "Falun Dafa is good," firmly and with a strong voice three times. Therefore, the judge from Guangzhou court extended her prison term another three years above the original three-year sentence.

The guards of the 7th ward in the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison cruelly persecute Falun Gong practitioners using all kinds of tactics. The criminal inmates, encouraged by the guards, also torture practitioners at will. Criminal inmate Yu Chunling at one time used a cotton-padded jacket to virtually suffocate practitioner Ms. Fu Guichun until she lost consciousness. The prison guard present did not say anything. Falun Gong practitioners in the prison had no guarantee for their personal safety. The following are the crimes against practitioners committed by the guards of the 7th ward in the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison in the summer of 2005.

This photo shows the re-enactment of a vicious torture method whereby the Falun Gong practitioner is injected with unknown drugs. Guards and prison doctors use very thick needles to inject the drugs. After 10-20 minutes, the practitioner will vomit and suffer severe diarrhoea, extreme thirst, and loss of consciousness.

While being detained at the Chaoyanggou Forced Labour Camp, Mr. Gao Hongfei was forced to go through brainwashing and torture sessions, resulting in severe injury to his lungs. Fearing that his death would create problems, the camp released him. Mr. Gao's father, unable to withstand the duress and constant threats from the authorities, passed away forcing his aged mother to return to work so she can pay off her son's huge medical expenses.

On December 2nd, Dafa practitioner Miao Jianguo was tortured to the brink of death at the Jinzhou Forced Labour Camp. The Jinzhou City Hospital and the Jinzhou City Affiliated Hospital refused to treat him. The labour camp authorities sent him to the Guta District Hospital and left him with his family and the hospital staff. The next day, fearing their deeds would be exposed, they dispatched six police officers. They broke into the home of Miao Jianguo's parents and took Miao Jianguo from his parents' home, although he was near death at the time. They continued to detain him in Jinzhou City Forced Labour Camp.

This re-enactment photo shows the cruel method of force-feeding. The guards insert a tube about as wide as a finger through the practitioner's nose into the stomach. As a form of torture, they insert and pull out the tube repeatedly until the practitioner suffers excruciating pain and his whole body convulses.
