Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Fei Chongrun, formerly named Fei Weidong, 41 years old, was nearly six feet tall and very healthy. At noon on October 18th 2005, he talked about the human rights abuses against Falun Gong while buying a motorcycle at the Yongfeng Vehicle Shop at No. 335 West Lushan Road in Jiujiang County. The shop owner turned him in to the police. The police arrived and quickly closed the shutters before beating Fei Chongrun to death. Fei Chongrun is survived by his 80-year-old father, his three-month-old daughter, and his unemployed wife. Right now, the police are refusing to conduct an investigation.

In May 2003, the guards assigned criminal inmates to monitor me. Every day, they only allowed me to take a five minute break three times, only three minutes to use the toilet each time. If I took more than three minutes, I was pulled out of the toilet even if I was not finished. I had to listen repeatedly to recordings that slandered Falun Dafa. They handcuffed me to a bed, put headphones over my ears, and forced me to listen 16 hours a day. If I refused to listen, they ordered a group of inmates to physically abuse me. They allowed me to sleep about four hours per day.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Jiang Xiaoming and his wife Guo Changwei have been incarcerated at the Jiangmen Detention Centre for more than one year, because they told the facts of Falun Dafa to people who had been misled by the government propaganda and exposed the persecution. Recently the Pengjiang District Court in Jiangmen City sentenced them to ten and seven years in prison, respectively. Although they appealed to the Jiangmen City Intermediate People's Court, the 610 Office ordered the court to uphold the original verdict.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Yuzhi, 48 years old, lived in Erdaobaihe Town. On February 4th 2002, she was illegally arrested from her home by police and detained in the Huizuizi Labour Camp in Changchun City. She was forced to work in a toxic environment for 16 hours per day. The surrounding air was viscous and contained many cancer-causing materials. Ms. Zhang worked with an adhesive substance that emitted strong, irritating smells. She was tortured psychologically by brainwashing. Under the dual pressure, she contracted leukaemia. The camp did not allow her family to take her home until she could no longer take care of herself. Ms. Zhang went home on August 31st 2002 and passed away two weeks later.

A very cruel torture method used in Jinzhou Forced Labour Camp is squeezing the eyeballs and genitals. The guards lock the practitioner in an iron cage with both hands cuffed to the iron bars of the cage. A guard holds the victim's head from outside the cage and presses the victim's eyeballs very hard with both thumbs. The victim is in extreme pain and loses his sight for over half an hour. The guards also burn practitioners' fingers and squeeze hard on their genitals.

The practitioners had to sit on little stools, with four spiral nail poles protruding above the surface, to watch propaganda that defamed Falun Dafa, from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The practitioners were forced to sit with their backs straight, two hands flat on their kneecaps and legs bent at a 90-degree angle. Several guards rotated, patrolling day and night with rubber and wooden clubs. As soon as they saw that someone's posture was not correct, they beat them with the club. As a result of sitting on the little stool for an extended period, some practitioners' buttocks were severely bruised and torn by the protruding spiral nail poles.

Mr. Nie Feiyao was arrested twice for distributing leaflets exposing the persecution. He was sent twice to Hunan Province's Xinkaipu Labour Camp for "transformation". He suffered horribly there. After his release he was mentally ill. When he was more focused and clear-minded, he managed to outline the horrific experience he faced inside the labour camp. Judging from his current condition and physical appearance, it seems likely that the labour camp injected him with drugs that damaged his nervous system.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Qiu Guoying was a treasurer at the Land Administration Bureau in Wuyi County, Zhejiang Province. Before practising Falun Dafa, Ms. Qiu Guoying suffered an incurable disease. After practising Falun Dafa, all her illnesses disappeared and gave her a totally different appearance. After the evil persecution began since July 20, 1999, Ms. Qiu insisted on practising Falun Gong and was not willing to write any word against her will. She was sent to a brainwashing centre. She was tortured into a comatose state and passed away at the Wuyi No. 1 People Hospital.

In the persecution, almost all staff of China's 610 Office and prison guards have sexually assaulted Falun Dafa practitioners. The assaults include torturing female practitioners' private parts and breasts. Most of the time the practitioners were stripped before they were tortured. What we are recounting here is just the tip of the iceberg. The information was provided either in writing or copied down from verbal recollection of tortured practitioners.

This re-enactment photo shows a torture method that the authorities at the Jinzhou Forced Labour Camp frequently use against Falun Dafa practitioners. The practitioner is tied with crossed legs, with his back to the floor. Guards then use the electric batons to shock the bottom of the practitioner's feet, the breastbone and mouth.

41-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Honglan, lives in a village near Tianjin City. After the persecution started in July 1999 the local officials started persecuting Li Honglan. Between 1999 and 2003, officers from the Wuqing District Detention Centre, the local police department and the village Party officials, constantly harassed Li Honglan at her home. They ransacked her home, detained her, fined her and tortured her. They electrically shocked her through a wired telephone, force-fed her, slapped her face and forced her to stand in a military posture. They tried to make Li Honglan give up her belief in Falun Dafa.

I met a woman who had been released from Yaojia Forced Labour Camp. She was a convicted criminal, and she told me about the persecution of Dafa practitioners in Yaojia Labour Camp that she had witnessed when she was there. The guards tie Dafa practitioners with iron chains onto a bed. They don't allow practitioners to use the toilet, leaving them no choice but to relieve themselves on the bed. Then they order the criminals to clean it up. The police make the criminals force-feed practitioners. She also witnessed a guard using needles to pierce each finger of a practitioner.

Three officials, Dongchengfang Town the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Political and Judiciary Committee Secretary Song Xiaobin, General Office Chair Chai Yuqiao, and Xituan Village CCP Secretary Yang Shun, recently teamed up to hide the truth about the recent police rapes of two Falun Gong practitioners while in police custody. They follow and threaten the families of the rape victims, do not allow them to take long trips, and have blocked their gates overnight for the past several days.

To prevent the detained practitioners from speaking, the guards coil thick metal wire around a piece of cork and put it into their mouths. The cork presses down on the tongue and reaches down to the throat. Then they bind the wire around the victim's head. Anyone who is tortured this way feels like vomiting. The guards also put earphones on their ears and turn the volume to the loudest setting and force them to listen to slandering words against Dafa.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang Liwu from Gansu Province, went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Dafa in 2001. He was detained in Qingyang City Detention Centre, where he suffered a fractured skull at the hands of the police and a mental breakdown. Mr. Wang's mental state was so confused as a result of the torture that he took his own life by drinking agricultural chemicals, even though the teachings of Falun Dafa prohibit all killing, including suicide.

Mr. Tang Jianguo, an elderly gentleman from Wuhan City, Hubei Province, was arrested by District State Security Agents because he was passing out copies of the book, Nine Commentaries on the Communist Partyto persuade people to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). His son was also arrested, and no one knows his whereabouts. Their neighbours have all gone to the local police station to request his release.

Four top level officials planned, organised and carried out the arrest of the five Falun Gong practitioners in Dongchengfang Town on November 24th, 2005. Officer He Xuejian raped two of the Falun Gong practitioners, Ms. Liu Jizhi and Ms. Han Yuzhi, while officer Wang Zengjun watched and did nothing to stop this atrocity. Officer He even tried to force the two female practitioners to sleep with him and Wang in their dorm room. He knew that he did not have to worry, as Secretary Song and Director Chai were of shady character and would certainly sanction such cruelty.

One practitioner in the detention centre is currently on the brink of death. The torture has severely damaged her body, and she will be facing a trial very soon. A severely tortured female practitioner who has suffered a hip bone dislocation and a crushed leg bone is so emaciated that her weight has dropped down to 90 pounds from her usual weight of 117 pounds. She has started a hunger strike to protest the persecution. Yang Cong, chief of the detention centre has shouted madly at her, "You asked for it, so there's no way for you to get out of here alive. I will simply throw you into the furnace when you die."

Mr. Liu Cunnian, 65, had twice appealed in Beijing to make public the truth of his own benefits from Falun Gong. Because of the Communist Party's sinister efforts to deprive people of the freedom of speech, he was arrested and sent back to his hometown where the local police unlawfully searched his house, confiscated his personal property and arrested him. They extorted fines of a few thousand yuan. Mr. Liu's wife and daughter were detained and sent to a forced labour camp. For six years, Mr. Liu Cunnian endured so much mental anguish that he became ill and passed away on October 17th, 2005.

45-year-old Ms. Zhao Yuzhe was completely cured of multiple diseases after she started practising Falun Dafa in 1997. When the persecution of Falun Gong started, lawless officials from the township police station harassed her many times at her home. In January 2001, the officials tricked her into going to the township police station, where she was detained for over ten days. She passed out and threw up there, and she was very weak. However, the officials didn't care or ask about her. The officials then continued harassing her at her home. After Ms. Zhao Yuzhe had suffered extreme injury, she became very sick and passed away on November 27th, 2005.

Independent channels have confirmed another 19 deaths of Falun Gong practitioners. The latest findings came in November 2005. Since former president Jiang Zemin and his followers ordered the persecution, the regime is to blame for at least 2,790 death from savage acts under this persecution. Statistics for these 19 deaths are as follows: 11 were female practitioners, 55% of the total; seven practitioners were above 55 years of age, 37% of the total. Fourteen practitioners died in 2005, six of those in November 2005 alone.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Zhifang was a Pipa (Chinese lute) musician employed by the Gansu Province Yu-Opera Institute. She died at the end of July 2005, due to being hung up for a long time with her hands cuffed behind her back. The details are yet to be investigated. The administration of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) "Legal Education School" follows Jiang and his regime's secret order that "Killing Falun Gong practitioners counts as suicide;" they spread around that Ms. Liu Zhifang's case was suicide, and strictly sealed off any information.

The brainwashing centre exerts intense pressure on Falun Gong practitioners' minds, deceives and entices practitioners' affections, twists thoughts, and brainwashes them. Officials there take turns physically torturing practitioners. They use soft and hard tactics when trying to transform practitioners, that is to force them to renounce Falun Dafa. When practitioners hold hunger strikes to protest the persecution, the centre force feeds them. Ms. Sun Guifeng experienced continuous inhuman torture until she was both physically and psychologically injured. By the time her family took her home she was already in critical condition and passed away in April 2005.

"The heavy workload in Masanjia caused me severe arm pain, and my fingers became deformed. In February 2004, I was poisoned as a result of working with some kind of rubber material and experienced many symptoms including headache, dizziness, ear problems, vertigo, nose bleeds, mouth numbness, coughing, stomachache, vomiting blood, swelling and weakness. Sometimes I was so weak that I could not even move my hands. I had itchy blisters on my head, face and all over my body. My hair fell out, and I was nearly bald until recently."

The family of Dafa practitioner Mr. Yan Li was notified on December 5th, 2005, that Yan Li died under the persecution from the police in Inner Mongolia. The local police offered 5,000 yuan in exchange for the family's silence. Yan Li's wife was at first overwhelmed and confused, and then said, "Yan Li wasn't supposed to die. I won't take it, even if they give me 500,000 yuan, not to mention 5,000 yuan." She is trying to get a lawyer to obtain justice.

As revealed by a Falun Dafa practitioner recently released from the Liaoning Province Women's Prison, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Huang Xin, in her 50s, was locked in a men's cell after being stripped, and was raped by a death row prisoner. There were eight female Falun Dafa practitioners tortured in this inhuman way at that time. Huang Xin is still detained in the prison and locked in the hospital in a dazed state of mind due to being forced to take the drug Chlorpromazine every day, even though she was of sound mind.

Mr. Ma Zhigang, was 30 years old and a teacher. He picked up a Falun Gong flyer exposing the persecution on a train to Beijing. The railway police observed him reading it and suspected that he was a Falun Gong practitioner. The police detained the passenger even after their investigation failed to verify him as a Falun Gong practitioner. The police then put the passenger on a train going in the opposite direction. The two railway police officers decided to interrogate the passenger a second time, putting the passenger under great mental strain. In this condition, he fell off the train and died after failed medical intervention.

On the morning of April 29th, 2004, Dafa practitioner Mr. Tang Zhenju was persecuted to death in Kaiping Labour Camp. When Mr. Han's family received the notice and went to Kaiping Hospital, Mr. Han had already passed away long before they arrived. In order to shirk their responsibility, the labour camp police lied to the family and said that Mr. Han Zhenju suffered a sudden heart attack and passed away. However, when Mr. Han's family secretly checked Mr. Han Zhenju's body (the labour camp didn't allow them to inspect the corpse), they found Mr. Han's back was purple and his body was emaciated, the result of long-term physical and mental torture.

The detainees are forced to work all year long, and some are forced to work for six days straight without sleep. Sundays and legal holidays are totally disregarded. The only breaks they get throughout the year are four days: May 1st, October 1st, Chinese New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. The condition for taking these four days off is that the detainees must finish their workload for the "off" days the day before. Over the past few years, the main work at the labour camp is processing coloured light bulbs. These are produced for a company in Zhuhai City and are exported to France, the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Italy, USA, Germany and other countries.

Mr. Liu Ruping, a 41-year-old lawyer and also a Falun Gong practitioner was arrested and put in a brainwashing centre on October 17th, 2005, because he had posted up a notice from the Falun Dafa Association. His 84-year-old father heard the news that the Changqing District Police Department was going to send Mr. Liu to a forced labour camp if he did not renounce his spiritual beliefs within a week. The old man was so upset and worried that he subsequently died of a sudden stroke on November 15th, 2005.

48-year-old Ms Li Ping was arrested and imprisoned many times for her persistence in practising Falun Gong. She was jailed in Dalian Forced Labour Camp twice and suffered brutal torture. After she was persecuted to paralysis, guards covered her with three blankets in the summer time and put insects on her body to bite her. Under the Chinese Communist Party's long-term persecution against Falun Gong, Li Ping passed away on November 27th, 2005.

Ms. Liu Yaohua, in her 40s, was arrested and brought to the brainwashing centre. They put handcuffs and leg shackles on her and an iron chain that was fixed to an iron chair around her neck. Ms. Liu could not move. Though she was tortured for the next several days, she refused to renounce Falun Dafa. The guards used shoes and books to slap her face until it was swollen and her mouth was bleeding. They wouldn't stop until they got tired of beating her. Director Xu used a hard object to smash Ms. Liu's head and blood streamed out and covered her face. Xu used his fingers to poke her eyes. He then stomped down heavily on her toes with the heel of his shoe and ground them into the floor. Ms. Liu fainted due to the excruciating pain.

In Masanjia, the guards forced Mr. Luu Kaili to do prolonged, labour-intensive work on a farm, causing him to become physically very weak. Work in Masanjia was especially tiring, planting corn and rice. The practitioners were never fed well. Because of malnutrition, physical torture, mental abuse, and being overworked, Mr. Luu's legs started to swell up and he couldn't walk. Even though he was in such terrible condition, the guards had other prisoners carry Mr. Luu in a basket so he could work removing corn kernels

Ms Hu Zhengxi, a retired practitioner, died as a result of persecution by the Baimalong Women's Forced Labour Camp on May 5th, 2005. After receiving notice of her death from the forced labour camp on May 7th, her family members were told that Hu Zhengxi went on a hunger strike for more than ten days and died, the cause of her death was unclear, and in the mean time the forced labour camp hurriedly cremated her body.

Mr. Wang Shengtang was arrested was twice arrested, once in September 1999 and again in July 2001. The arrest in 2001 happened in the middle of the night. At that time over ten policemen forcibly searched his home. They scaled the wall and broke into his house. They turned his home upside down and then took him away without a warrant. Mr. Wang was subjected to constant harassment, threats, intimidation, and brainwashing. He suffered tremendously under this persecution and was under constant fear and stress. He suffered a stroke as a result and passed away on October 12th, 2005, at the age of 70.

Around November 10th, 2005, prison guard Zhang Qingshan beat Mr. Guan Lianbin, a Falun Gong practitioner who is detained in Mudanjiang Prison, Heilongjiang Province. Zhang also tortured Mr. Guan with electric batons for more than three hours. During this process, Zhang kept saying, "I'm an evil policeman! I'm an evil policeman!" He used electric batons to shock Mr. Guan's private areas and inner thighs. Mr. Guan was badly injured.

The Pingantai Forced Labour Camp has been used as a place to torture Falun Dafa practitioners in Gansu Province since the persecution began. Several hundred practitioners have been held here. The guard and inmates, many of whom are drug addicts, have used various brutal methods to persecute practitioners. They have used sleep deprivation, brainwashing, beatings, psychological abuse, and other forms of persecution against the practitioners.

The Linyi City brainwashing centre is an evil place that has tortured countless Falun Dafa practitioners. On June 20th, 2002, Ms. Zhou Xiangmei (a practitioner, employee of Nanfang Credit Union) was surrounded at her office by police who were trying to send her to this brainwashing centre. In order to escape, she was climbing down from a fifth floor window with a rope that she made with bed sheets, when she fell and died.

On November 18th, 2005, the Lianshan District National Security Division police broke into 49-year-old Yang Hong's home and arrested her and her daughter on the grounds that Yang Hong and her daughter used a computer to log on to the Minghui (Chinese Version of Clearwisdom.net) website. The police also confiscated their computer that is worth over 5,000 Yuan, as well as their Falun Gong books. Yang Hong's daughter was later released.

Practitioner Mr. Wang Xiaodong, 29 years old, went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Dafa and was sentenced to one year of forced labour. He persisted in his belief in Truth-Compassion-Forbearance, and his sentence was extended four times for a total of ten months. During the detention, Wang Xiaodong held a hunger strike and was force-fed. His term was extended by three months. During the time he was held at Tumuji Labour Camp, Wang Xiaodong was shocked with electric batons, and his term was extended another three times for seven additional months. He had lost his job by the time he went home and the local authorities constantly harassed him.

Practitioner Miao Jianguo was in critical condition on December 2nd, 2005 after long-term torture and persecution. To evade responsibility, Jinzhou Forced Labour Camp authorities sent him to the Jinzhou City Hospital and later to the University Hospital. Both hospitals refused to accept him. They finally dropped Miao Jianguo at the Guta District Hospital and handed him over to his family members before taking off. The next day six guards from the labour camp forced their way into Miao Jianguo parents' house and arrested Miao Jianguo again. His physical condition is critical.

"I used to be a long-distance running champion in college, with a very healthy body. In 2003, the local police officers illegally arrested me, and took me to a detention centre. Later, in a prison hospital, I was injected with unknown substances. My lower body was bleeding, and I went into a coma. When my heart stopped beating, I was rescued by emergency medical means, but remained in a coma. The second time I was injected with the unknown substances, the same thing happened, and later they rescued me again. Afterwards, the bottoms of my feet bled and oozed pus, and it took over a year to heal."

Force-feeding is a horrifying experience. At Daqing Detention Centre, the process of the first forced-feeding administered to every Falun Gong practitioner who was involved in the September 23rd arrests was videotaped. They use it as "evidence" to report to the 610 Office. Watching the practitioners' struggling, vomiting, bleeding and screaming during force-feeding, the perpetrators often mock, make fun of or even beat them up. Practitioners once asked the participating doctor: "Don't you fear that they will die from such cruel force-feeding?" That doctor said, "If that happens, it has nothing to do with us. We can say that you died from disease."

At 3:00 p.m. on November 22nd, 2005, over 30 people and ten police vehicles broke into Dafa practitioner Yan Aizhi's home and arrested her again. They searched the whole house and the courtyard, stole money, and took away her mobile phone, Walkman, Falun Dafa books and other personal possessions. Her family's valuables were also taken. At present, Ms. Yan is being imprisoned in the Kongjiazhuang Town Local Police Station.This police station's personnel have been known to use violence against practitioners.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Hao Wenmin, 43, was from Hebei Province. After the persecution of Falun Gong began, he was harassed and tortured by the vicious local police, the 610 Office and the Handan Forced Labour Camp. After he was released in April 2004, he couldn't work. He had to depend on his wife to care for him. Police harassed and threatened him at home. Unable to endure the cruel persecution, he passed away on October 15th, 2005.

"I received your photo today. When I saw it, tears kept running down my face, and my heart was bleeding for you, for your old ailing grandmother, for your uncle Bai Xiaojun, who was cruelly killed by unlawful policemen, and for your parents, who are suffering the brutal persecution because they are kind-hearted Falun Dafa practitioners. Your parents have been absurdly arrested by the insane Chinese Communist Party."

Nanmusi Forced Labour Camp has been using all sorts of inhumane methods to torture practitioners both physically and mentally. The tortures have included brainwashing, extension of sentences, slave labour, the tiger bench, electric baton shocks, police baton beatings, wolf-teeth clubs, leather belts, bamboo sticks, tying up with thin ropes, cuffing arms and legs to an iron bed, exposure to the baking sun, exposure to extreme cold, merciless beatings, confinement in water dungeons, forced feedings, beating the joints of arms and legs, stabbing women's private parts with chopsticks, incarcerating nursing mothers, and humiliating practitioners by stripping them naked.

Ms. Song Min, 34, worked in the Hubei Institute of Hydroelectricity. She started practising in 1998. During the persecution, the political office in the Institute frequently threatened her to renounce Falun Gong. In December 2001, Institute officials and 610 officers arrested Ms. Song from work and took her to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Centre. Torture emaciated Ms. Song. Following her release in August 2002, Ms. Song was relegated to a lower position at the Institute. The persecution severely injured Ms. Song physically and psychologically. She passed away on November 7th, 2005.

"My name is Wang Zhen and I am from Shanghai. After the persecution began in July 1999, I refused to give up Falun Gong and was detained in detention centres and forced labour camps. I was forced to do hard labour at these camps, such as carrying baskets of animal manure, cutting grass, sewing stuffed toys such as bears and monkeys, and making beaded purses, Christmas gifts and electric connectors, among other things. Many of these products were exported. I worked from 7:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. daily without any salary. In addition, Falun Gong practitioners were treated worse than the common inmates. We were subjected to brainwashing as well as physical torture."

51-year-old Dafa practitioner Mrs. Meng Guiqiu was arrested by the local police in April 2004 and sentenced to three years in a labour camp. Warden Su Jing handcuffed her because she refused to wear the inmate's uniform and let the other officers grab her by the hair and hit her head against the bed. Su Jing told her threateningly, "I'm going to fix you." Meng Guiqiu's been on a hunger strike for more than 200 days in protest of the persecution. The authorities denied her right to family visits. Her family is deeply concerned about her current condition.
