A "solemn declaration" is a person's public statement declaring to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. Most of these statements have come from Falun Dafa practitioners in China who wished to express regret that, in the face of physical torture and brainwashing, they had signed documents renouncing Dafa and guaranteeing not to practice again.

The righteousness and dignity of the practitioners greatly frightened the police and officials present. The ferocious court police even paid respect to practitioners after the trial. Everyday people who attended the trial also admired the practitioner's courage.

Throughout the past three and a half years, the Jiang regime has spread lies to incite hatred against Falun Gong and its practitioners. However, due to the combined efforts of Falun Gong practitioners, more and more people have been awakening to the truth of the persecution and seeing through Jiang's lies. This article gives details of four situations where people have realised the truth.

He told me that a few months ago that he received an address for a website in a chat room from an overseas Falun Gong practitioner. He then logged in and read the information. Many more Chinese come to know the true situation as a result of the truth-clarifying efforts on the part of practitioners outside China

He asked, "Why do you come here despite the chilly weather and your advanced age?" I told him straightforwardly, "Our Teacher asked us to clarify the facts. Because they do not know the truth, people, especially Chinese people, have been deceived by fabricated stories and false appearances that slander such a righteous practise. It is not good for them to carry these thoughts and we must clarify the true situation to them. Even though it is chilly it is worth it!"

"I have been refurnishing a policeman's house. He has many colour TVs, bedding and lots of different stuff. This policeman told me that he had obtained all these things by ransacking Falun Gong practitioners' houses and asked me if I wanted them. They were very cheap, and he wanted to sell them to me just for a small amount of money. I told him that though I may be poor, I will not commit any crime against heaven's laws."

Falun Dafa practitioners being detained in a detention centre of a certain city persist in studying the principles of Falun Gong. They follow Teacher Li's words carefully and clarify the facts about the persecution. They have greatly changed the impression that the guards and people around them had towards Dafa.

I am further moved by the fact that these lovable people are being steadfast in their faith in Falun Gong and persistently spreading the truth of Falun Gong. Some people repeatedly curse Falun Gong practitioners on the bulletin boards of web pages.

"Although you look vulnerable, you are in fact very tough because you have the strength of spirit. If all people in the society were like you, it would be great. Actually, the truth is always the truth. Eventually you will attain justice."

When his superior authorities ordered him to cooperate with them to arrest practitioners, he always tried his best to inform those practitioners so that they could find places to hide. His kind behaviour protected not only practitioners but also many truth-clarifying materials, flyer's and the equipment used to produce those materials.

"You insist on practising even though it has been banned. Good things can never be changed! I also want to practise if you are willing to teach me."

On the night of October 1st, Chinese National Day, the malicious police officers in a certain county in Hebei Province came out to harass Falun Dafa practitioners. They broke into people's homes and illegally arrested almost twenty practitioners.

An elderly man in his sixties said to us, "I will help distribute materials that reveal the truth after I get out."
A Christian man said, "I believe in Falun Gong! Where can I get the book? There is nothing wrong with 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance'.

I am a Falun Gong practitioner in China who has been forced to leave home in order to avoid arrest and further persecution. There were several instances in which people who had come to understand the truth helped me...

"The prison guard was deeply moved by what he saw. He went to Sun, one of the practitioners who was being sentenced to forced labour, shook his hand, and urged him never to give in."

Two short stories of people in China who have come to know the truth about Falun Gong

My father-in-law is sympathetic to Dafa practitioners..when two practitioners were being followed by four policemen, he said them: "You better leave here, they've followed you for about an hour. Do you have any money? I can lend you some, please call a taxi and go."

Some people have a wrong understanding of how Falun Dafa materials and activities are funded. This article shows that it is precisely Falun Gong practitioners selflessness that enables these materials to be produced.

Three short stories about people who have come to know the truth about the persecution in China.

"Read the Falun Gong materials! What Falun Gong practitioners say is true and real, unlike on TV, where everything said about Falun Gong is false, and deceives the public."

"Seeing that so many nice people like you have been taken away, I am worried for your safety. I will not let them take you away. How could I find another employee as responsible and qualified as you?"

The jail police officer whispered, "Brother, they are truly a group of good people...Listen to me: you must treat Falun Gong practitioners kindly. When you get orders from the superiors, just work around them." The public security police officer quickly said, "I felt this from the bottom of my heart a long time ago, but did not dare act upon it. Don't worry, from now on I know what to do."

A division chief who knows the truth told me, "After two years of dealing with you...you are the ones that are truly worthy of making friends with...If all people in the society were like you, it would be great. Actually, truth is always truth. Eventually you will attain justice."

Ms. Liu's husband said, "Please treat those practitioners well; they are innocent people." The secretary replied, "You bet. I know they are all good people. I'm not going to persecute them or anything."

At this moment, a kind-hearted neighbor came to teach him the Falun Gong exercises, even though under the risk of being arrested and imprisoned. Before long, my granduncle miraculously recovered. Now he is fully healed, as healthy as before. Once again he can perform all sorts of tasks and can ride his bicycle to visit relatives and friends. The family is so happy. The neighborhood villagers say to each other, "Falun Dafa has saved his life. No wonder Dafa practitioners cultivate regardless of the severe persecution."

A retired division director said to the policemen "You cannot even tell who are good people and who are bad people. What kind of police are you? They practice Falun Gong to improve their health and to become good people. Does this have anything to do with you? Don't harass them again."

This is the first case in which Chinese officials, who have persecuted Falun Gong practitioners, have been sued in Europe. European legal and human rights communities have largely paid attention to the case...Chinese officials who participates in or gives orders to persecute Falun Gong practitioners will face prosecution while entering Europe.

The doorman refused to let them in: "She is the best person in our workplace, she comes to work early and leaves late, she works earnestly and diligently. She never does wrong deeds. What crime could she have committed? You just want to make trouble for her, why don't you discipline those who embezzle and are corrupt? I don't buy what you're doing!"

In Houston, when we were appealing peacefully around the InterContinental Hotel where Jiang was staying, I had a few opportunities to talk with Chinese people who had been recruited by the Chinese Consulate to greet Jiang.

One policeman said; "Truly, I wish that they would find some sickness with all of you. I don't mean that I want you to be really sick, just so that you could return home with this excuse."

A policeman asked her, "What's it like to be together with those Falun Gong people?" She said, "They are truly good people. When I had no clothes, they gave me clothes. When I had no quilt, they gave me a quilt. When I go back, I'm going to practice Falun Gong. I'll get my son to practice too."

Since the middle of October, local practitioners organized small groups to regularly study the Fa [Principles of Falun Gong] and do Fa Zheng Nian...Through this kind of group activity, the practitioners felt rapid improvement...generally speaking, everything has been quite good

The prison guards were terribly upset and extremely tense because of our escape. They sent out 40 trucks to madly search for us door-to-door. After more than 10 days of frantic but useless searching, they consulted a fortune-teller for help. The fortune-teller told them not to touch the 18 escaped practitioners.

"The Falun Gong practitioners in our company all perform well. If half of the employees were like them the company would work much better and our jobs would be much easier."

I picked up a flyer that contained a picture and explanation of the 36 western Falun Gong practitioners who traveled to Tiananmen Square. It also contained an article by a Canadian practitioner. The flyer had a few scissor cuts on it but the content was still easily readable.

The wife of a party secretary was put in jail because she firmly practiced Dafa. The secretary made many phone calls to the county supervisor and other leaders, stating the benefits of Falun Dafa and the righteousness of his wife, and requested her release.

The manager has quite a lot of friends among the police officers. I once asked him to clarify the truth to his police friends. He said, "They all know what's going on. Those who are real policemen don't do this kind of thing (persecution). It's always those who can't do any real work who commit sins to please their higher ups."

The Police Sergeant stood in front of the boards for over half an hour before he asked to sign our petition. He then chatted with the practitioners. He talked to a young practitioner, who shared his cultivation experiences with him. Afterwards, the sergeant said, “ I’d like to try Falun Gong, too”.

He admires the demeanour of Falun Gong practitioners’ tolerance, kindness, niceness and truth telling with mercy. Whenever he met Chinese tour group members, he always told them the truth about Falun Gong, disclosed the political frame-up and fabrications against Falun Gong from Jiang’s government, and reminded them not to be cheated by the government.

With the help of the Japanese government and related authorities, the Japanese Falun Gong Association was formally registered and founded on September 27, 2002.

"Not only do you need, but we also need and the whole world needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. Let the message of 'The World Needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance' spread all over the world from our town."

A political science teacher slandered Falun Gong during class. A young practitioner stood up and pointed out right away, "I'm afraid that you are wrong. It's quite the contrary. Falun Dafa is a righteous belief." The teacher was taken aback by the comment and said, "Okay, then you have to explain to us what Falun Gong is all about."

...they returned all the money that higher level authorities had extorted from practitioners. For three years, they have never said anything to denounce Falun Dafa and Teacher Li.
