| Italian Monthly Magazine: Millennium China: "The path of Falun Gong cultivation" [15.12.2005] |
An Italian monthly magazine called “Viaggiand” took “Millennium China” as a topic and published a series of articles about China's five-thousand-year old culture in the November 2005 issue. In a special column entitled “The Spirit and the Rule”, Falun Gong is introduced under the title “Falun Gong, a path of cultivation” The article explains that Falun Gong is a cultivation practice to help people obtain intrinsic improvements.

Instead of morning coffee the Pekkarinen family in Oulu begin their day with meditation. Without it, the Falun Gong practitioners, Anja and Veijo Pekkarinen don’t feel properly awakened. "The exercise makes you wake up, it cleans the mind and make you alert", says Anja. The Pekkarinen family learned it four years ago."Since then I don't suffer from insomnia...The practise does lot of good things."

| Radio France Internationale: Nearly One Hundred French MPs Urge the President to Raise Human Rights Issues with the Visiting Chinese Premier [11.12.2005] |
In an open letter to Chirac, Jack Lang wrote that according to the available information, the Chinese government plans to not carry out true direct broadcasting during the 2008 Beijing Olympics, instead the broadcasts would be delayed by a few seconds. He pointed out that behind this technical issue of delaying a broadcast for a few seconds is Beijing’s true intention of avoiding all pictures of demonstrations. If this is true, then Beijing must be condemned. |

| Swedish Media Report: United Nations Special Rapporteurs Say Torture is Still Prevalent in China [09.12.2005] |
On December 2nd, 2005, several Swedish news networks carried a report by Reuters and the BBC saying that torture is still prevalent in China. The report said that according to Manfred Nowak, UN Special Rapporteur on torture, torture is prevalent in China and only when China undertakes major reform of its judicial system and achieves judicial independence will the situation of torture be controlled. Nowak was the first UN Special Rapporteur on torture to be invited to conduct an investigation of the issue of torture in China in ten years. |

| EFGIC: Two Falun Gong Women Raped Amid UN Rapporteur Visit [04.12.2005] |
LONDON (EFGIC) — The European Falun Gong Information Centre (EFGIC) has learned of the November 25th rape in police custody of two Falun Gong women, ages 42 and 51. Shocking photos suggest the violent nature of at least one of the two rapes. The rapes, occurring only three days after the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture arrived in China for investigation, took place at the Dongchengfang Town Police Station in Tunzhou, Hebei.

The director is very interested in Oriental culture. Not long ago, he also started to learn Falun Gong. He especially devised this programme about Falun Gong.

During Chinese President Hu Jintao’s visit to Spain, the country’s biggest newspaper El Pais published an article entitled Cruel Torture and the Death Penalty to expose the Chinese Communist regime’s human rights abuses. The article pointed out that there are many dark sides of China’s miracles and the fact that both economic openness and political impediment coexist in China. |

| During Hu Jintao’s Visit to Germany, the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs were to Request the Release of Jiang Renzheng [23.11.2005] |
On the eve of Hu Jintao’s state visit to Germany, the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs took measures to help Jiang Renzheng and his family to leave China. Jiang and his family are Falun Gong practitioners who wee deported from Germany after the German Government mistakenly thought that they would not be in any danger. Upon their return to China, persecution started and Jiang was put in a forced labour camp. But after the German Government's intervention, Benxi Labour Camp of Liaoning Province hampered the departure of Jiang Renzheng and his family. The German Ministry of Foreign Affairs assured a local Falun Gong representative that Jiang’s release would be brought up during official meetings with Hu Jintao. |

| German Media Reports on Chinese Communist Leader’s Visit [22.11.2005] |
The Chinese President started his four-day state visit to Germany on November 10th. Hu has been well known for his low profile and the western society knows very little about him. As this was Hu’s first visit to Germany in his presidency, his activities drew widespread attention from the German media. In a news commentary programme broadcast by ARD TV on the day of Hu’s arrival in Berlin, it mentioned: “China is a beautiful country with diligent citizens. But does that mean we have to love the Chinese leader? Our answer is ‘No’. Even Hu can put up charming smiles on his face, Berlin’s red rug is actually laid out for a tyrant.” |

"The U.S. has long been concerned about the fact that there is no freedom of religion in China. Given that, in the U.S. State Department’s annual report, China was relegated to the category of countries subject to special attention. The report criticised China because its respect for freedom of religion and freedom of belief remained poor. The report also said that some religious leaders, followers, and even those in some official churches were detained, arrested, sentenced or put into forced labour camps for re-education." |

Sleep deprivation was the preferred method of torture by the C.C.P. Li was put in solitary confinement. As soon as he closed his eyes there would be loud shouting and banging and his eyelids would be forcibly pulled open and a violet light shone into his face. Recordings of people denouncing Falun Gong were played at ear-piercing volumes. His face was brutally slapped and he was kept naked in a cell that was continually hosed down with freezing water.

"Falun Gong practitioners held up banners in the street and I found that they were innocent ... At one time, I witnessed a woman over fifty years old taken to the office. She was brutally tormented and beaten by my colleague. Her back was beaten black and blue with his baton. The case against Bo, who is accompanying Chinese President Hu Jintao on a state visit to Britain, was being filed Tuesday with the Bow Street Magistrates Court in London, the group said. The application for an arrest warrant relates to Bo's time as governor of Liaoning province, northeast China, and his alleged promotion of the torture and ill-treatment of Falun Gong practitioners. |

On October 19th, 2005, former 610 office1 staff Hao Fengjun and former diplomat of Chinese Consulate in Sydney Chenyong Lin testified at European Parliament. The two both stated that they could not tolerate the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and disclosed the nature of 610 office, an agency which was established by CCP to persecute Falun Gong and is similar to Gestapo in nature. |

| Report on Falun Gong Broadcast as part of the Kosmopolis Documentary on Czech TV [27.10.2005] |
On the evening of Wednesday October 19th, Czech viewers had a chance to watch a ten minute report about the practice of Falun Gong. The practitioners performed the exercises and briefly informed the viewers about Falun Dafa's principles. One of them shared his experience and said that in the past he had many arguments with other people. Since he started the practise of cultivating Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, he changed his behaviour and gets along much better with others. |

'Almost 2,800 people have been assassinated since 1999, more than 200,000 are currently locked up in extermination camps; and 100 million have been illegally denied freedom of belief. The reason? They believe in Falun Gong, a practice of meditation and exercises that is based on an oriental tradition that improves health and personal values, something that the Chinese Communist Party does not allow for its people.'

| Radio France Internationale: Benevolence and Dignity Exist Simultaneously [15.10.2005] |
The announcement includes two points. For one thing, the announcement warns China’s officials at all levels not to participate in the persecution of Falun Gong. Otherwise, if they travel abroad or if Falun Gong’s miscarriage of justice were reversed, they would be brought to justice. For another, if China’s officials are determined to renounce the evil and join the camp of justice, they could write a letter to Falun Gong’s Minghui.net or their local Falun Gong Association expressing their regret for their previous wrongdoing. |

Scholars at the University of Texas found that modern technology can be utilised to analyse thousands of genes at the same time. Those scholars studied one group of leucocyte of the Asian descendants who have practised Falun Gong for at least one year of and a group of persons who did not to make comparisons. They found that the leucocyte of the persons who practise Falun Gong is highly vigorous, and its immunity is very strong. And they can recover from infection with higher speed..." |

This afternoon, renowned French human rights attorney William Bourdon held a press conference in his office. Mr. William Bourdon stated that a French court had sent a Commission Rogatoire Internationale (CRI) to China’s counterpart department, requesting related Chinese authorities to cooperate in an investigation into the roles played by Li Lanqing, Chinese Minister of Culture Sun Jiazheng, the “6-10 Office” and the Chinese police in the persecution of Falun Gong. Li Lanquing, former Deputy Prime Minister of China, was in charge of the “6-10 Office”, a Gestapo-like organisation of the CCP that specifically suppresses Falun Gong. |

More than 2,600 people have been killed in China over the past six years for practising the meditation system Falun Gong, but it is estimated that over 10,000 people have been tortured to death, 200,000 jailed and over 1,000 forced into mental institutions. The abuse of human rights in this Asian country has reached the extreme limits with people being persecuted, tortured and thousands killed and forced into exile, making it border on the limits of genocide.

According to a broadcast by Radio France Internationale on September 28th, 2005, to the metropolitan Paris and Asia-Pacific areas, in reaction to the planned visit by China’s Minister of Culture, Sun Jiazheng, to Washington DC this October, US Falun Gong practitioners have submitted a letter to the Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, requesting that Sun’s entry to the US be denied. |

| The Danish Newspaper Berlingske Tidende Reports on the "Nine Commentaries on the Chinese Communist Party" [26.09.2005] |
“The majority of the Chinese people have no choice but to join the CCP if they want to achieve certain influence in the social and political system. It is a way to access public resources,” commented Nis Hoyrup Christensen of The Nordic Institute of Asian Studies (NIAS). “It is also a manifestation that this person is part of the system, not a potential threat.” However, not all of the Chinese people support the CCP. According to a report in the Epoch Times, a medium that holds an aggressive critical position against the CCP, the overall situation has been totally different. |

Ten people attended the introduction class and almost everyone asked for an introduction video and a book to understand more deeply about Falun Gong. 'Followers of the eastern practice of Falun Gong protested against persecution in China yesterday. A group of practitioners handed out leaflets, demonstrated exercises and collected signatures on a petition in Abbey Church Yard. The petition, which calls for the release from labour camps of family members of Chinese Falun Gong practitioners who live abroad, will be sent to the British Government. The Danish Falun Gong Association intends to file a lawsuit against Jia Chunwang, the former minister of public security, for the systematic torture and killing of thousands of innocent practitioners of Falun Gong. And Denmark must not let this man go, explains the association’s spokesperson Marco Hsu. “Jia Chunwang is at the top of the so-called “6-10 Office”, which was set up with the sole purpose of eliminating Falun Gong. On Sunday August 28th 2005, renowned Denmark lawyer Tyge Trier filed a lawsuit on behalf of Falun Gong practitioners against Jia Chunwang, procurator general of CCP Supreme People's Procuratorate and one of the central figures in China's Gestapo-like 610 Office -- for crimes contravening the UN Convention Against Torture. Jia Chunwang was sued the same day he arrived in Denmark to partake in an international conference for prosecutors being held in Copenhagen. |
