After hearing about the large number of Dafa practitioners tortured to death by the Jiang-Luo regime in recent months, practitioners in Korea held appeals, strongly condemning the killing and torture of the practitioners in China.

Starting on January 16, practitioners went to the Chinese embassy and consulates to peacefully appeal. In accordance with Korean law, one practitioner protested in front of the Chinese embassy or consulate, while other practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts [maintaining upright thoughts to purify oneself and surroundings. It can be understood as a type of meditation] together from across the street. Practitioners held banners reading, "Immediately Stop the Killing of Falun Gong Practitioners by the Jiang-Luo Group" and "Opposing the Persecution of Falun Gong." The embassy officials were very upset about the appeal. Two staff members approached practitioners to ask some questions, and they even sent people to take pictures of the protesting practitioners.

On January 19, some practitioners from Busan and Daegu went to the Chinese General Consulate located in Busan to protest against the killing of Falun Gong practitioners and to send forth righteous thoughts.

Starting on January 21, practitioners from Busan, Daegu and other southern areas held a sit-in appeal in front of the Chinese General Consulate, requesting the Chinese government to release all illegally detained practitioners unconditionally.
