Girl from the Countryside Finds Truth Amidst Lies and Propaganda

A 19 year-old girl from the countryside began working along with me at my place of employment. Soon, we became friends. One day at noontime, I asked her: "Do you know anything about Falun Gong?" She was very scared when she heard what I said, and then she listed all the scary rumours slandering Falun Dafa that she had heard in her hometown. She said: "...therefore, we dare not go out at night; and if a child doesn't behave, the parents will say: 'Falun Gong is coming to fix you.'"

I could see that Jiang's regime has poisoned so many peoples minds. I began to tell her the truth about Falun Dafa starting from the Peaceful Appeal at the Zhongnanhai Compound on April 25, 1999, the events beginning July 20, 1999 when the Jiang regime banned Falun Gong, up to the events of the present persecution. She was stunned and couldn't believe what I told her. She asked: "Really?" Then I gave her some truth-clarifying materials and said: "After you read these you will understand more."

Early the next morning she said to me: "Now I believe Falun Falun Dafa is good. Are you reading the Falun Gong books everyday? Can I read those books too?" I said: "Of course. There is a photograph of Teacher Li in the books too." Then she took a book anxiously, looked at Teacher Li's picture and said: "Teacher looks so kind, how could they say bad words against him?"

She now reads the book everyday whenever she finds time. At nighttime, she has even held a light under her blanket to read the book, so as not to disturb her roommates' sleeping. After finishing the book Zhuan Falun [The main text of Falun Gong], with tears in her eyes, she said to me, "Falun Dafa is so great, I want to learn, too. It is unfair to persecute Falun Dafa. I will clarify the truth to the people in my hometown."
