Many thanks for your letter and the enclosed information packet, highlighting the problems which confront Falun Gong practitioners in China.

I empathize with the information contained in the brochures, which detail cases of human rights abuses at the hands of the Chinese government. It is shocking and shaming to read what the Chinese government is doing to those who have not committed any crimes, do not harm others or abridge others’ rights, and are only seeking to improve their moral character and to be permitted to continue in their chosen way of cultivation.

We will use any possible opportunity to bring this matter up in conversation, although our influence might be limited.
