Germany: Photo report - Many Associations gathered in Frankfurt to Appeal Against Article 23

On Friday December 21st, many different associations and members of the public gathered to publicly voice their opposition against Jiang Zemin’s attempts to export his regime of hatred to Hong Kong and persecute innocent Hong Kong citizens and visitors to the area.

The former chief editor of the “Germany Report” and “Rhine Communications”, Mr. Chen Wah-Chun, introduced information about the origin and development of Article 23, as well as its impact on Hong Kong.
Crowds gathered to tell the people of Frankfurt about their opposition to Article 23 and how it is a threat to democracy and freedom.

A reporter from the New Chinese TV Station in Germany interviewed Mr Chen Wah-Chun

The chief of the Chinese-German Language and Culture Exchange Association, Ms. Cheng Hui-wen, read out a statement issued by the European branch of the Global League Against Article 23.
The public listened carefully to the speeches given by the associations present at the gathering.

Chen Gang, a student from Munich University, described how the Chinese Embassy had turned down his requests for a passport extension and how his mother is being persecuted in China because she practises Falun Gong. He told the public how he does not want such cruel persecution to be inflicted on the good people of Hong Kong
“Hong Kong’s human rights are threatened! Let’s voice our opposition to Article 23.”

Kasten Noell read out a statement against Article 23 made by Friends of Falun Gong.

Mr. Wang Hsu read a statement against Article 23 made by the United Association of German Students and Scholars
Mr. Fu Yao-Bo, representing the China Democratic Party, read a statement against Article 23

The public appeal

Mrs. Andrea Kleisle read an open letter against Article 23 entitled “Defend the human rights in Hong Kong”, made by the German Association of Civil Servants
Mr. Yu Li, representing the Democratic China Front, gave a speech against Article 23.
