This is a French radio report that was broadcast internationally

The Falun Gong group has asked the USA government to request the Chinese government to release all detained Falun Gong practitioners on their behalf.

The Falun Dafa Information Centre in New York said Falun Gong hopes that, during the peaceful dialogue between the US and China this Monday, the US government will ask for the release of all the detained Falun Gong practitioners. The information also pointed out that Falun Gong practitioners' family members and relatives, in over 16 countries, are also being detained at this moment. This includes practitioners in the US. The reason these practitioners are being detained by the authorities is that they refused to renounce Falun Gong or have asked the Chinese government [Jiang regime] to stop persecuting Falun Gong.

AFP quoted the [Falun Dafa Information Centre's] statement, which mentioned that international pressure has had some effect; some Falun Gong practitioners have been released, and the situation of other practitioners’ in detention has improved.

The US and Chinese delegations are holding a human rights dialogue in Beijing today.
