How to Clarify the Truth to the Mainland Chinese – Suggestions to Overseas Practitioners (part 1)

Recently, I left China and went to see my relatives overseas. When I arrived at the railway station, I saw a banner with “Falun Dafa is good” on it and practitioners who were handing out the leaflets. There were pictures and furthermore there were Falun Dafa TV programmes broadcasted there. That is really great. But after I looked carefully for some time, I found that very few Mainland Chinese people actually dared to accept the materials. Even when the materials were in front of them, some people still stood aside, dare not accept or even look at them. It is really a hard job for our Dafa practitioners.

This was not because the Mainland Chinese did not want to know the truth. Some of them are blocked because they are communist party members and cadres. The Chinese tourists travel in large groups and many of them are afraid to accept the materials because they are accompanied by the head of the tourist company and the rest of the group. Some of them live on the mainland and they are afraid of pressure from the Chinese government. So they dare not accept the materials. Some other people did not accept the materials because of the brutal pictures; they dared not to ask for further information. They only knew we were handing out information but had no idea about the content.

In a showplace, we met another group of Dafa practitioners. They handed out a Chinese newspaper with a booklet inside. The effect was good. Almost all of the travellers in our tourist group accepted one each. On the bus they read them with great interest and in the hotel, they were the main topic of excited discussion. At that time, the head of our tourist group didn’t say a word, and the travellers were not afraid.

After seeing this, I suggest that we need to make some improvements in our methods of revealing the facts. The practitioners outside of Mainland China can do the following at the railway stations and airport exits: hold a banner with “Welcome the compatriots from Mainland China. Please come to learn the truth of ‘Falun Dafa’ ”. At the same time they can hold some other billboards, with big letters reading:

1.The truth of the Tiananmen “self-immolation” - an excuse for police to persecute Falun Gong (with pictures)

2.The truth of the “killing case” [event well-known in Mainland China] - to frame Falun Gong

3.Against framing, against persecution - evidence of practitioners beaten to death and disability ……”

Let passing people see what we are doing from far away. Even if they don’t accept any materials, they will know that those big events are not true. Evoke them to think about them, and stir their curiosity to come to know the truth.

If our overseas practitioners are busy, we can go to the airport according to the time and the place of the Chinese scheduled flights, to welcome them. It will be direct and save time and 3 to 5 people once is enough. After welcoming them, then we can go. This form will not bring any disturbance to workers and passengers in the airport.

It is better not to hand out booklets in front of the whole tourist group (the leaders of the tourist group from mainland of China have the responsibility to prevent the members from accepting any Falun Gong materials, or they will be reported to the government). Give them the booklets when they are alone such as at tourist attractions, hotels and supermarkets that often receive Chinese. The best way is to hand out the Chinese newspaper is with booklets inside. Because most compatriots cannot speak English, they feel boring after not reading a Chinese newspaper for some time. At this time, a Chinese newspaper can make them very happy, no matter it is an old one or a new one.
