Reporters from several media interviewed the artist and cover the painting show

From October 9 to 10, 2002, Falun Gong practitioner's personal painting show was held in Dallas City Hall. The visitors not only enjoyed the beautiful painting but also learnt the truth of the persecution of Falun Gong in China and were shocked at the facts. Several media covered the event on the spot and reported immediately.

On the painting show, several dozens of Zhang Cuiying's representative paintings were exhibited. The elegant Chinese paintings with deep artistic implications made visitors sense the richness and broadness of Chinese culture. Many visitors have photos taken in front of the paintings. Because the two days are weekdays, many people came to the city hall and stopped walking to see the paintings. They also picked up truth-clarifying literature to read.

The practitioners also exhibited a photo of the artist when she returned to Australia after being released from China's prison and she wore a T-shirt on which she wrote a poem with her own blood having nothing else to write with. Beside the photo was a sketch showing she was tortured in prison. The artist's personal experience made the kind-hearted American people surprised and indignant. Many visitors sign the postcards to President Bush to express their condemnation to Jiang's regime and ask President Bush to support Falun Gong practitioners' human right and help end the persecution. One girl left a short letter expressing her understanding and appreciation of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.

Reporters of Chinese and English media came to interview, including Dallas's largest newspaper Dallas Morning News, Chinese newspaper World Journal, The Epoch Times. It was worth mentioning that reporters of a radio broadcasting station covering other news here came across the painting show and interviewed the artist right away. The news was reported immediately. Five minutes later, a gentleman came to see the painting show in a hurry. He told the practitioners that he came after he heard the news report form the radio broadcasting station. The opportunity is precious and he treasured it.
