At 8:30 a.m. on September 3, 2002, a trial was held for Dafa practitioner Kong Xiangzhu in Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province. The court was held in semi-secretly. When the time for the trial was near, the court gave only two entry passes to Mr. Kong’s family members. At the opening of the trial, Dafa practitioner Kong Xiangzhu cried out loud, "Falun Dafa is good" as he walked onto the witness stand. This shook those who sat on and below the stand.

The judge asked, "Why did you go up to Beijing?"

Kong Xiangzhu answered: "Falun Dafa is so good, yet it is libelled, slandered and its practitioners are beaten up by bad people. This is the worst injustice in history since ancient times, so I went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa."

Question: "Were the distribution of flyers and the playing of the Falun Gong program on cable TV done by you?"

Answer: "Yes. I solely did them. What I played are facts. The information was also delivered to allow the common people to be aware of the truth behind the deceit. It is for the sake of preventing people from being deluded by lies."

Question: "Do you know the consequences of doing this?"

Answer: "For the sake of clarifying the truth and saving people, I have never thought about my own well-being. [..]

Question: "You accused the vice squad of using violence against you. Did such a thing really happen?"

Answer: Yes.

Question: "What evidence do you have?"

Dafa practitioner Kong Xiangzhu lifted up his clothing, and revealed the scar which he received from an emergency rescue after police had almost killed him.

Answer: "This scar serves as evidence."

Kong declared as void all statements he had made during inquisition under torture and at times when his consciousness was not clear (it is suspected that the police administered drugs to him). As a result the trial could not be continued and was terminated.
