Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhang Huayun Is Tortured in the Hezuizi Forced Labour Camp

Zhang Huayun, over 40 years old, lives in Qingshan Village, Yushu City, Jilin Province. She is a simple farmer, diligent and plain, kind and honest. She is a quiet person who has benefited greatly from practising Falun Dafa. People all around know of her goodness. After July 20, 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal to the government and the people of China, to tell them, "Falun Dafa is good. Don't persecute Falun Dafa practitioners." For telling the truth, she was illegally detained.

In March of this year, after Changchun practitioners broadcast the truth about Falun Dafa via cable television, Jiang's criminal group issued orders to capture Falun Dafa practitioners at all levels. The local police abducted Zhang Huayun to force her to give up Falun Dafa. When Zhang Huayun firmly refused, they sent her to the Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp without any legal procedure. In the camp, Zhang has remained firm in her beliefs. She refused to write anything against her will and went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. In retaliation, the police guards tortured her ever more brutally, and shocked her with electric batons. After much effort, her family members (not practitioners) arranged to visit her several months later. They were shocked to find her extremely weak, with obvious scars from the electronic shocks to her face. There were even new wounds on top of old ones, which changed the colour of her skin. Zhang Huayun told her family members her firm determination to cultivate Falun Dafa no matter what happened. She said that if she lost her life, that would be proof of how the Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners.

According to inside sources, the Heizuizi Forced Labour Camp is starting a new round of persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners illegally detained there. We appeal to people of goodwill all over the world: pay attention to the situation of Zhang Huayun and other detained practitioners; help to end the persecution and safeguard justice with every possible means.
