Panjin Municipal Labour Camp of Liaoning Province has kidnapped and held in their custody more than 20 Falun Gong practitioners.

Labour Camp Chief Zhang Shoujiang assembled all of the camp's guards and created a group to specialize in brainwashing Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners would first be threatened, and then police with batons would severely beat those that refused to give in. The officers would then force practitioners to squat and remain motionless, not allow them to sleep and repeatedly abuse them.

Practitioners protested the persecution by going on hunger strikes. They were then subjected to barbaric, twice a day force-feedings of about 3 liang (a Chinese cubic measure equalling about 5 oz.) of extremely strong alcohol.

Practitioner Guo Yanliang had been on a hunger strike for more than 60 days in order to protest the persecution. Despite his weak physical condition, the police wouldn't leave him alone. In one instance he was hit more than 30 times by police batons and then, with his legs badly swollen, was forced to stand motionless for a long period of time.

Some practitioners were forced to stay awake continuously for more than 3 days and nights. Some became mentally confused due to the long-term physical abuses, lack of sleep, and other forms of torture.

Certain female officers were also very cruel. When they handcuffed practitioners in order to torture them, they would intentionally do it in a way so that the handcuffs would cut into practitioners' flesh and cause excruciating pain.

Officials that participated in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners are: Zhang Shoujiang, Yi Xiuyan, Huang Jiukuan, Liu Yongbin, Liu Minghua, Liu Dahan, Liu Zhe, Liu Min, Wang Yan, etc
